Bad Customer Service from Customer Care ( N.Z)
While it is a great machine to have with large load! Super quiet etc. But unfortunately, once it just over warranty we have an issue with ' out of balance' message.... on and off for a few weeks! We finally called Fisher & Paykel and booked for a service ( had to wait for 3 - 4 days) the Technicial came 23/6/17 but did not have the parts with him, he said he ordered now ( on-line while he was still at our house) and should be available on the 1/7-17. However, I rang back a few times to check where the parts re at and I was rebooked for the se...Read more
rvice on the 3/7/17 but no one came, no one from F&P rang me to inform me what is going on ....I tried to ring back and was told by F& P that no parts available indefinitely because they do not know when it is available also they lied about rebooking for my service ( apparently no service was booked for the 3/7/17) and hanged up on me a few times while I was put on Hold ( Anna, Loma if you are reading this, I am talking about you both from customers care service Unit)! The guys are so unprofessional and incompetent! Not really care about customers at all after SALE! I am still waiting for my machine to be fixed, it could be weeks or months ( they have no idea when the parts are arrived and from where? How pathetic!) I have dirty clothes that can not be washed and yet they do not even offer to ' lend us an old Machine' so we can wash our clothes while we are waiting??? This is so frustrating, I will not buy anything from F&P any more from now on! They are so incompetent and uncaring and the lack of service from them is so unprofessional! Think twice before you buy any goods from F& P! They do not provide any after sale service at all, the calls made from Australia went straight to N.Z call centre and they just hanged up on you after putting you on hold so they do not have to DEAL with your issues so you just have to try to ring back and getting no where with them! Very Unhappy & FRUSTRATED CUSTOMERS! When will my washing machine be FIXED? God knows, they only need to replace 4 suspensions pads ( cost to buy these pads/parts $30 for 4) but F&P does not seem to know where to order them and when they are available???? How WEIRD is that?Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Would don't buy any other!
This is a great machine. From small loads to very large, this machine weighs the load and adjusts as required and it cleans well. I have never had to rewash anything. If a load is out of balance (eg towels), the machine adjusts water level and moves the load around until it is balanced correctly. It will try to balance the load itself for approx five minutes, if it is unable to, it beeps to alert you. Great feature! Cleans a queen bed doona beautifully. Spin cycle is great, gets rid of most of the water making drying time less. The timer is g...Read more
reat as you know exactly how long each load will take. Also has delay function. washing powder usage is less than other machines, cleaning quality remains high. Really pretty quiet for a washing machine. Teenagers watch TV Iin the next room with laundry door open and have never complained or closed the laundry door! Fave feature is the beeps when machine has finished it's load. The only issue I can see for small homes is that it is a large machine. Fits great in my laundry but smaller homes might want to measure before purchase. Also great value for money, I've never had a problem with it, (5yrs old) and I do 2-3 loads per day!Similar opinion? its good size washing machine for 4 members of family
I use to have front loader machine and its brokes and bought this new one top loader machine, The main benifits of this machine is you can put more clothes then front loader machine with same size capacity. Never tangle the clothes, smooth running, diffrent wash cycle suits your needs also best in spinning

Buyer beware - no warm wash.
You won't realize until after purchase that this machine (Washsmart 10kg) ) DOES NOT do a warm wash. I thought the hot water was incorrectly connected, but if you read the manual, when you select 'wash temp' you are only choosing the first 4 mins water spray stage. After this, no matter what temp you've selected, the bowl fills with COLD water!
Other features are good, but I wanted a WARM WASH -as is claimed.Stunned by this actually - very misleading.

Great machine
Brilliant. Bought a few weeks ago to replace my 20 year old F&P no trouble machine. I bought it so I could was my horse coats duvets etc without overloading. It is easy to use and I love the way it is similar to old machine. Great design of top of machine so dirt is easy to wipe out. It is so quiet, even with a full load that I have to keep checking to see if it is working. Saved me heaps of time and power as I can wash all the sheets, duvet covers in one go. I would recommend the large model over the smaller one as you never know what you will need to wash.

Yes...Big Washing Capacity
Bought this bad boy because our little LG Front Loader finally died after 8 years. Good bye my little friend!!
We chose a top loader because we are a tall family of 4, and let's face it, front loaders are for younger, short people that have good knees, and
good backs. We have called the Fisher and Paykel WashSmart the BOSS..... for a good reason. The BOSS has a 10kg capacity, it lets me load it to the max, 1 load in the BOSS = 3 loads in our old LG. I can manually select the water level which I like. The 30 minute wash cycle is all I need. ...Read more

Giving F&P one last go
after the disappointment of not being able to buy the same machine that served us well for 14 years we had to choose between three different models that were essentially the same bar a few extra washing functions. quite frankly the machine has 6 different cycles with a lot of variations with in each why you would want is just beyond me. it's confusing enough. It also has a smart mode so you don't have to set any thing which is great.
this was the least expensive of the machines but I wouldn't pay another $600 to the top of the range when it...Read more
's essentially the same machine. The installation was easy though we have a slightly sloping floor in the laundry and the adjustment in the legs were not long enough to level it perfectly so it's tilting forward a touch. It has an install test mode which I like as it tells you if you installed anything wrong. as it happened I mixed the hot and cold hoses because it was the reverse to our old machine and it's not clear on the this machine with no contrast between the H & C symbols and the rear panel but the install test mode picked this up, tick good feature. The machine feels more fragile than the older one it replaced. When moving it the sides flexed a lot. running the machine it seems a lot quieter but I expect as they age they get noisier so comparing it to a 14 year old machine may not be a fair comparison.Similar opinion? Best washing machine I have ever owned!
All clothes are cleaned very well. My husbands work clothes and very dirty kids clothes all come out clean. I can even put the dark and light clothes in together and they come out clean and not covered in fluff. I would definitely recommend this washing machine to anyone who is looking at buying a new machine.

so much room!
love this washing machine! It's HUGE!! just the 2 of us at home, but my boyfriend works in a dirty and dusty environment and our old front loader just wasn;t getting the clothes clean. The first wash in this new one was amazing. Delayed on/timer is a life saver. It's a quiet machine, especially with spinning. Lots of options depending on what load you are doing. Eco friendly settings too

Washes very well
We purchased this after the last F&P washer needed replacing after 10 years. The size is great for a family of 4 and we purchased this model as it allowed for manual water level adjustment. It's quiet compared to the old model and others we looked at. It's washes very well. My advice is if you are used to an agitator style machine then you won't be disappointed. Some of the reviews complain about tangling and lint but we have not had any such issues. You have to load the machine as you would any agitator style model and if you do this you are rewarded with a great wash each time.

Brilliant
Cleans Very well. Had this washer for 5 years doing non stop washing at caravan park. Never had one problem. Have another park now and will replace terrible MAYTAG washers with either Fisher & Paykel or Speed Queen.
Cant recommend these machines highly enough.
No Belts...No gearboxes... Direct drive motors are wonderful.
If only more people knew about these everyone would have one.

Don't buy this if you don't like lint
Never had an issue with lint but we have to vacuum our clothes once dry due to the massive amount of lint.
We contacted fisher and pykel only to get told to buy a lint filter from them for $44 plus $15 freight...and it might fix the problem.
A $1000 machine should not have this issue in the first place.
Time to contact fair trading I'm thinking.

The love I have for my new washing machine
As a family of 7 it gets a run for it's money. It is quiet, small, and has a range of different wash cycles. You can add more washing in after you have turned it on when you have found more washing in one of the kids rooms. It is perfect!

Excellent washing machine
Cleans clothes very well, runs quietly.
Only thing it doesn't do is continue to beep when the wash has finished. Have looked up if this can be programmed but can't find any instructions. Our old model continued to beep until lid was opened. So we have had to do a couple of washes again as we have forgot that the wash has finished and we have gone out and come home to smelly clothes

Big enough for QB quilts!
After buying a front loader washing machine (different brand) and having a very poor experience, I decided to go back to Fisher & Paykal. Definitely a great choice!
I'd previously had a second hand small 5kg Fisher & Paykal top loader, which lasted me 7 years. I gave it to my mother when I moved interstate, and it is still going strong.
I have found that laundry powder doesn't dissolve well in my 10kg top loader on a cold cycle, which isn't a big deal as my clothes are mostly washed in cold or warm water with eco friendly laundry liquid....Read more
My clothes come out clean and smelling fresh every time! And the fast spin cycle leaves the clothes very close to dry, meaning less time waiting for my clothes to dry on the line. The noise is minimal and able to be blocked out with general household sounds (the TV, children playing, radio, etc...).Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent Machine
This machine was a great buy. It is so quiet that you think that it is not on. My wife also likes it because its features are so simple to use as she hates appliances with to many gadgets we even showed our kids how easy it is to use. We have only had it for a few weeks but everything about this machine is excellent. Our clothes come out nice & clean and has no trouble handling our queen size sheets & doona covers. We would recommend this machine-10 out of 10.

love it
i love this, but it still isn't as good as my old westinghouse machine. but it well.
its quiet, spins the clothes very dry,
you can add to the load if you wish, just have to do it when the lid is unlocked, or press pause.
i like the fact the lid locks so little ones cant open it.
my favorite cycle ist the quick cold wash, but i use the long hot was for linen and whites.

new but realy love it
I have just purchased this machine after the Simpson I had was unrepairable after around 5 years, (never again a Simpson) the machine is quite easy to use and hopefully reliable over the long term, so far I am very happy, the controls are easy to use, a very nice touch it to have the lid loaded with a spring so that it closes slowly and does just drop, I believe that this washing machine is built throughout with the same thought.
