Washing Machine does not perform to specifications use your rights and return it for a full fefund,
There are three major issues wrong with this washing machine that do not work according to specification.
1. In the handbook on page 31 it states that the washing machine is capable of diagnosing its own problems, not all of these I have tested but the following have been;
a. “no hot” (I am not getting any hot water)
b. “no CLd” (I am not getting any cold water)
c. “no tap” (I am not getting any water)
2. Also in the handbook on page 18 and on the Fisher & Paykel web site specs it states the washing machine is capable of operating at dif...Read more

There is nothing wrong with the machine in its operation. If you noted on page 12 and 'Eco active wash' the machine fills with the temp of the water you select on the control panel also on page 18. On... Read more
ce this stage is complete the machine fills with cold water for the agitation portion. This is how this machine achieves a high energy efficiency. Also the 6 L per minute is the min. flow rate from the tap, not the rate the machine fills at. There is no contradiction on page 28 as if you want a full hot wash then the 'allergy' programme is the correct one. I would never turn the taps off unless I'm going on holidays and if you are careless enough to forget to switch them on before starting your machine whose fault is that?A very defensive point of view, who do you work for??? the machine has a feature (hot wash) on its control panel that can be selected for ANY wash cycle and one would expect you should be able to use ... it once you have selected it....... otherwise do not have an ACTIVE feature that does not do anything and inform the customer at point of sale that this machine is fundamentally a cold wash machine only so it can claim the high star rating that seems so important to you, me I want clean clothes. You point about the taps is not in accordance with the handbook and my point is the handbook and advertising material needs to be CORRECT or you breach the ACCC rules of doing business in Australia.Similar opinion? Washes great but no warm wash option
Washes my clothes well but downside is it doesn't wash in warm water only hot water on the Allergy cycle. I had a tech out as I thought it was an error but apparently a warm or hot wash on anything but allergy puts a bit of hot in to dissolve the powder and tops up most of the wash with cold water. So you end up with a cold wash. Only way to do anything but cold wash is select allergy and have a HOT wash. Also don't like that it reverts back in the cycle when you use pause the cycle.
Washes well
No warm wash only hot or cold. Starts cycle again if machine is paused

You can do a warm wash in 'allergy' by adjusting the wash temp.

LOVE IT!
I bought this machine at the start of the month. The auto sensing water function is great. I do not miss the lint I used to get from my old machine. I love that it has a quick option if I'm in a hurry, love the delayed start option. Spins the clothes 1000 times drier than my old machine resulting in a much quicker dry time, the soft closing lid is fantastic. I am just not a fan of the fact that it restarts if you pause it at the start of the cycle.
Clothes come out drier, quick option, no linton clothes and very clean
Restarts if paused during the start of cycle

Good machine
We purchased this washing machine about 3months ago. Previously we had a LG front loader. I wanted to switch to a top loader as I wanted better rinse efficiency and I also needed a bigger machine. This machine is huge in every way! We are a family of 3 children & 2 adults and although I initially wanted a 9kg machine, I am now happy we decided on this as I can still choose to do a small cycle with the water level set to 'low' (which is quite low). This machine washes well and the cycles are quite quick. It spins so fast that your clothes come o...Read more
ut almost dry! It has quite a few wash cycles to choose from too. It is a quiet, effective washer. The things we don't like about this machine are that it is definitely tougher on our clothes than our old front loader. Another problem is that the lid locks shut from the moment you start a cycle which is very annoying if you like to watch the water level or add clothes, detergent or water manually after the cycle has started. You can pause the cycle after the lid is locked, which will unlock the lid, but it causes the machines timer to revert back to the very beginning of the cycle again. The other problem we have noticed is that the water temperature control is deceiving - for example: if you select hot water the machine only puts a few litres of hot water in to dissolve the detergent, then fills the rest of the machine up with cold water. So in essence, it's not a hot water wash. It's more like a hot water detergent dissolver. The only way you can get an actual hot or warm water wash is to use the 'allergy' cycle. Overall we have been very happy with this machine, although it took us some time to fully work it out. It is doing the job for us and it has cut back my time in the laundry significantly. Size - it's massive! Wash & rinse efficiency is excellent. Quiet machine. Cuts back laundry time. Super fast spin. The lid locking for the entire cycle. The timer reverting back to the beginning of the cycle if you push 'pause'. The water temp control is deceptive - you can only wash in warm/hot in the 'allergy' cycle. Top loader is definitely tougher on clothe compared to front loader.1 comment
We are trying to decide between the 8kg and the 10kg. Do you now think the machine is too big or just right?

Stressful Purchase after lengthy personal study and recommendations.
Our Simpson 9.5 top loader finally needed replacing due to gearbox issues after 9 faultless years. Was going to buy another, but no one recommended them. Retail agents stuck with F&P units, and told me to steer clear of Simpson. So after weeks of deliberating, we went with what the experts were telling us.
First light coloured load ok....quiet and efficient. But I noted water on the floor and water beading on the outer machine casing between where the plastic top meets the metal body.
Second load of dirty work clothes came out still dirty an...Read more

Very Impressive!
We recently bought this Fisher & Paykel washing machine as a (chosen by us) replacement of a Samsung WF1104XAC front loader. We replaced the Samsung as it was just terrible! The Fisher & Paykel washing machine is brilliant. It is washing clothes perfectly, the clothes are coming out soft and clean, the towels are also coming out soft, not hard and stiff like they were in the Samsung front loader. The machine has several wash cycles to choose from, we tend to use the Regular wash the most, that only takes 50 minutes and also the Handwash which o...Read more
nly takes 35 minutes. The Handwash cycle is so gentle on the clothes too. There are 3 speeds, 330rpm, 660rpm and 1100rpm, we tend to use the highest speed for sheets, general clothes and towels and the 330rpm for delicates. We also love the easy iron option and the 10kg size of the machine. We have not had any issues with this machine and love how it washes, very impressed with it and highly recommend it to anyoneSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A well worth replacement to our 13 year old F&P MW059AU
Our 1st brand new Top Loader (TL) was replaced using the store's 3 day return policy, due to water leaking from under the washer.
We did look at a Front Loader (FL) however the TGG rep advised us of the disadvantage with forgetting the odd garment here and there in the middle of a cycle would meant the FL would need to unload its water and then re-fill making cycle even longer. The rep mentioned she has a FL and regretted it, as being a young mum she wanted, a quick, clean wash cycles.
As to FL being better – maybe, however TL are bigger ...Read more
(cheaper than FL comparable size), wash faster and spin dry better. As to FL not wearing out your clothes, I find that clothes are cheap and fashion changes fast. Dryers are what wears your clothes out – open up the lint filter in a dryer – there's half your clothes right there! As to those experiencing water splash back under the lid or on the outskirts of the tub, will keep an eye and report if it happens with our TL, to date - nil. What I have found;1 comment

Poorly designed water inlet spout
Purchased three days ago. On initial wash and subsequent wash, the water from the water inlet spout (which is designed with multiple holes that are molded to spray towards the left) sprayed not only into the tub as it should, but on top of the drum rim on the left hand side, as well as over the rim onto the outside casing; which then trickled down towards the floor. The next morning minor water beading was noted on the 'outside' of the machines casing through the join where the top of the machine and the side wall meet. On closer inspection on ...Read more
the inside, the water that had sprayed up inside the machine had been collecting on the ledge where the top of the machine and side wall meet; which had eventually seeped through to the outside. I did consider that perhaps my water pressure was too high causing the problem, but the manual states water pressure up to a maximum of 150psi is acceptable; hence ruling out that cause. The machine itself is super quiet; only the sound of the water and the final 'groan' of the water emptying out from the pump. The linen/clothing appeared very clean. This machine was definitely kinder to my clothes than my previous old top loader. No signs of lint or powder residue. There is a full array of options to get the perfect wash, which I was drawn to as I would have used them all. I loved the 1100rpm: washing almost dry! And most importantly it has an excellent energy rating, which is comparable to a front loader, and the water usage is quite impressive considering it is a 10kg washer. Sadly, even though I loved everything else about this machine, the thought of constant water (even though not heavy, but significant) spraying out of the the drum/tub and down the side wall was a deal breaker for me. Over time I believe the water would build up and be sitting in the lip around the base of the machine, and the potential for the outside casing to start rusting would be there. I was torn between calling a technician as I loved everything else about this machine or whether to retun it to the store. My mantra is when spending significant money it should work perfectly the first time. I promptly returned it the next day. That's another (traumatic) story! Just for the record, if all the inlet water went into the drum like it should have I would have given it 5 stars for sure. Size, energy efficient, accepatble water usage, quiet, washes well, lots of usable options, spin speed Poorly designed water inlet spout that allows water to spray over side of drum onto the floor2 comments

Agree! I think I will trey to send mine back as it is poorly designed and for $1100, you should be washing clothes~ not the floor!

Just bought it today, squeezed it through the laundry door with half a milimetre to spare . Came with handy little spirit level and easy prewash cycle that checks machine for any faults then displays . Impressive ! Did a few loads of washing, runs very nice, more quiet, both the machine and water hammer noise very good. Have no idea how it will go from tomorrow but at the moment its brilliant
Looks Good, runs nice and smooth, beeps not annoying
Prefer detergent go straight in . Not remove fabric softner dispenser but no big deal
