Worst watch I ever bought.
I bought this watch after watching hundreds of reviews. I was completely disappointed. It worked a couple of months and then it will not hold its charge. This is the second Fitbit I bought. Lasted me couple of months and it failed. Same thing happened to my sons Fitbit. I bought it from ABT and they were nice enough to exchange for a Apple Watch.

terrible
i bought the i conic smart watch the from good guys on sale, but this is absolutely not smart watch this just a fitness trucker you can just do a few limit things on that, you can not replay sms or call at all.
why i should pay the same price as smart watch. even i can't pair to my Beat wireless headphone. i'm really disappointed.

Won't Buy A Fitbit Again
Bottom line, this watch is terrible.
Cons;
- The screen was scratched within a week.
- During workouts the tracker will reset at any certain time making it pretty useless considering it's a tracker.
- The plastic lock for the strap fell out during the second week of use.
- The magnetic charger has a really hard time finding the proper spot on the back of the watch to actually give a charge.
Pros;
- It tells the time.
- The magnetic charger can find loose change.

Does the job
Watch works well. Did have some charging issues soon after purchase, but of late its been ok. If I had known they were bringing out a more attractive watch with a smaller face I would have waited. This watch is pretty large on my small wrist. I only use a few of its functions and I'm happy with those. Love the alarm. It buzzes quietly on the wrist, not waking my partner. All in all, I'm happy with the watch.

Loving this
Always dreaming for Apple Watch but want something doesn’t have to charge everyday and this one is perfect with music and all and loving it. Love the style and color perfect for me and it’s my fave color. Automatically recognised the things your doing like running or walking base on heart beat.

lies ! No SpO2 as promised !
I feel like I have been ripped off. Fitbit Ionic at launch said this watch I paid $400 for would have SpO2 capabilities, instead those sensors sit there doing nothing. Its false advertising and ill never be buying another fitbit again, not to mention the rash I got from their band and I followed the cleaning instructions.

Too many problems
This watch is good in theory. I've spent way too much time trouble-shooting issues with it--takes forever to update, is picky about what it connects to, but worst of all, step count wildly fluctuates. It has double-counted by steps whenever I run for past 6 weeks. I did a factory reset and in the first 24 hours after the reset (which took me 6 hours of futzing to get everything done because of how finicky it is) the step count has fluctuated up and down 8000 steps or so. Why might you want it? Use it purely to run and listen to music with....Read more
You can connect via Pandora or load your own music (fair warning, it may take you awhile to do it). But even that is problematic. There's often static on the wireless earbuds. I've tried two different wireless earphones and I had this issue with both. It's not dependable enough to use for fitness, step counting, and smartwatch tasks (e.g., phone, text notifications).Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great watch
Fitbit Ionic works fine for me. Only thing is it doesnt sync wireless with my iphone - needs to be synced via bluetooth. Great watch & love the features like GPS tracking, waterproof etc. It can be used for lap swimming & the deive will track swimming data which is amazing.

Doesn't sync, customer service non-existent.
ACCC has warned customers that Fitbit misled Australians about warranty and returns, and have not been complying with Australian consumer law in this regard. You should heed these warnings.
I have had my Ionic since December 2017, and it's constantly had problems syncing with my phone (first galaxy s7, then galaxy s8) and my computer - even when plugged into it. It's been so much work almost on a weekly basis to get basic functionality out of a device that was meant to be top of the range. On June 20, it synced and nothing I did would fix it...Read more
. This very expensive smartwatch couldn't even give me the correct time, as it had un-sycned from my time zone. After following the approximately 50 steps their offshore customer service staff told me to do and being told "I must be doing it wrong", I now have a bricked device that Fitbit won't replace because they "don't believe" I tried to troubleshoot.Similar opinion? Husband loves it!!
My husband has many many watches, so when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday and was told another watch, thats exactly what I thought this was!! however he loves it. It does everything he needs and wants it to do. Easy set up and easy to follow and use. Yes he still has his other watches but the fitbit wins everytime.

Smart looking smart watch
Smart watches can be expensive and do we really need them?
Well, I decided to go with the Fitbit Ionic and absolutely love it.
I wanted a smart watch, not just for time and date (any digital watch can do that), but it needed to be not too expensive, have a good battery life, not too thick or heavy and can help me get more active - preferably one with GPS to track my walks or runs. Water resistance and it would be a bonus if it enabled contact-less payment.
The Fitbit does all of these things and more.
The battery lasts about 4 days ...Read more

My new favourite device
Looks: a bit chunky
Functionality: Very good, large face making reading easy, many different watch faces to choose from, also stores music which was an unexpected feature. Waterproof.
Battery life: EXCELLENT! This was a major deciding factor for me. I travel a lot and don't need yet another thing to charge every night. I don't have continuous Sync running, and get over 6 days use each charge.
Watch band: loses points here - it's fiddly.
Setup: again loses points as getting notifications proved tricky, some PIN issues, so not as seamless as it could be. Overall I highly recommend.

Fitbit Unfit.
Good. Water resistant. Silent alarm.
Bad. Won't stay connected to the phone, thus no notifications. Third time was not lucky, have had two Blaze fitbits, one broke and both had the same connection problems. This is definitely the last fitbit I'll purchase I'm sad to say.
Hopefully the connection issues will be worked out, they also require a more durable screen. All three of mine have cracked.

Good Option
This watch/wearable is functional without being spectacular, have had it for 6 months now and is working well apart from a few syncing issues. The good thing is when I have dealt with Fitbit on the phone or via the web they have been great to deal with and have fixed any small issues.
As with anything tech it has already been replaced with better versions from other manufacturers but still a great option.
The screen does seem to scratch fairly easily but when you wear it 24/7 it is to be expected.
Being used to using Garmin this has been a seamless transition.

So great for exercise regime
Bought my husband the fitbit ionic - he loves it. He loves that it does his pulse and resting heartbeat everyday and can look back on past workouts. He likes how can view calories burned. His favourite function of watch is the VO2 Max where he can check his fitness level against other men his age. The charge life lasts 5 days which he finds very impressive.

Have not stopped using this since receiving forma chrostmas gift!
I had the surge but find this design less clunky and better features - love that I can get text and voice message alerts plus calls!
Love that I can track my calories whilst training and upload personalised photos so simply!!

Great device
I wouldn't have bought one for myself but when I got one for my birthday, I had no choice but to give it a try.
I am an active person and it's been very useful in setting goals for me to acheive through the day. It gives me reminders when I'm close so I can give a little extra.
The ability to change the face through the app lets you have a range of styles to suit any occasion and in all I actually like the device (watch).
Now the down side. The band is stylish but the left over (tail) clips onto itself and it isn't a perfect fit, so the...Read more
re is a lump in the left over tail. This may change with different shaped arms but is slightly annoying for me. It also comes free and flaps around if you knock it hard enough which seems unacceptable for a fitness device. Also, 4 days battery life is a bit short when you consider a G-Shock (which I've come from) charges via solar. Why can't this device have the same?Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I had upgraded fitbit surge to Ionic and it was best decision. better battery reliability and you can wash it so no more stinky smell love it
There are some synchronization issues which are now rectified thanks to fitbit updates looking. Finally music control with Bluetooth is not very friendly at all

Does the job
Fitbit ionic does the job a little chucky on the wrist but does what’s it suppose to do. Battery life okay but a little annoying that you need to recharge every 3 days. Steps may not be as accurate as it depends on the stride of your arms but other than that make sure you have it place correctly on the wrist for it to work

Questions & Answers
Marioasked
This isnt a question, but I would like to offer a solution to those who are having trouble with syncing issues.
I was starting to recently get issues syncing, eg. "looking for device" or "device not found" and could not get sleep data for the last 2 nights.
On the phone, go to: Settings - Apps - Fitbit - Storage - Clear cache
then all of a sudden the sleep data appeared from the last 2 nights when I got back into the Fitbit App.
As a side note, I am disappointed that the phone is not smart enough to turn off the auto-on feature while sleeping. So I turned it off and never use the feature anymore. The benefit is that it now saves a significant amount of battery as it no-longer unnecessarily or accidentally turns on with each wrist movement.
