Seaford food land- bad customer sevice

published

After paying for a. Number of items at the express checkout, realised I should have asked for change for $20 note as I needed a $10. I was told they do not give chAnge. This has actually really inconvenienced me and can't nsidering there are many supermarkets around, I won't be back. The attitude of the cashier made it so much worst. Just don't need this when I shop for groceries. The fresh large pretzel I bought was covered in some disgusting liquid like something had been spilled on it and I to throw it on the bin. I won't shop there again. You can choose your rules that inconvenience customers and I can choose to shop elsewhere

WHAT A JOKE

published

I went into the Hallett Cove shop to buy Pork Spare Ribs on special. Small packets normal price, larger packets the special price. When I asked why the difference I was told its to encourage you to buy the bigger packets and that if you didn't want as many you can separate and freeze the others. No wonder I shop elsewhere as much as possible now, just One of many problems

over charging customers

published

today went to foodland fulham gardens at 12.30pm where i have been shopping for the past 30+ years and i have lost count at how many times i have been over charged but today it happened 3 times in the hour i was there, twice in the deli department and then at the checkout. How many customers would have been over charged today before i pointed it out to them maybe they should do stories of this manner on tv instead of always hearing about how much supermarkets loose to theft and start hearing about how much they make on over charging the consumer.

bad service

published

Being going to the Valley View Foodland for years, new owners moved in and now the service from the staff is not there, no please no thank you, charge you 10c for degradable plastic shopping bags which are not degradable. Sorry to say Foodland Valley View if you want customers, who are or should be important to you, to come back especially when you have Coles Woolworths and Aldi just around the corner teach your staff manners manners and have respect. I can see why some of the younger staff working there work as cashiers, they have no respect for customers so that is all they will do in life, they will never advance. Tell you the truth I have put up with it for over 6 months and I will not go back

Bad customer service and more expensive

published

Was waiting at the kiosk to be served this morning but was completely ignored by not one but two staff members. When I complained about being ignored the young boy just told me to wait and rolled his eyes and shook his head. When I told him his customer service skills needed to be looked at he again rolled his eyes and said whatever. How disgusting,!! I have been shopping at football hope valley for over20 years but will cease as of today. Also since being sold prices are extremely expensive. Going elsewhere. Bad customer service really bad!

Renovations costly to customers

published

Since Foodland Happy Valley have renovated its store (which is very nice) I have noticed my groceries are costing me a lot more every week. I cant afford to shop there now so have gone back to Woolworths to give them a try.

Good country service.

published

For the goods or range choice, some of the smaller stores, don't have it all, they do employ local country people & give far better service than the larger stores, have you ever tried to find a staff member in the very large supermarkets. The Wudinna Foodland gives that old personal service, that Coles & Woolies ceased years ago, it may not have every item I need, but just having a supermarket in a small community means a lot to me. I bought a faulty product, NO lining up for a refund or waiting for it to be credited it was done. Shopping local now.

Fantastic

published

Foodland Sefton Plaza has the best range of goods. Better than the nearby Coles and Woolworths and Aldi. Goods are cheaper or same as Coles and Woolies and and checkouts always open, no queues and no self service checkouts which is great. Great atmosphere at Foodland plus they pack your groceries for you. Brands are trusted and mostly Australian where quality is better.

May 31st 2018 Update: Foodland Sefton Plaza

Fruit and veg is always fresh.iIems are always instock on shelf wide range of goods.Friendly and fast service .Prices are better than nearby Coles and Woolworths

Meat

published

Does any real meat exist in these foodland supermarkets that havent been glued? I find this happening to legs of pork, lamb, steaks and beef cuts. They all come apart when unpackaged and cooked and there are different colors throughout the meat and in parts it tastes damn well awful. You have lost several customers due to this!!!!

Misleading ticket prices.

published

Bought 2 items that were meant to be on special. The specials ticket had been placed over the full price ticket. I was then charged full price for the items. When I returned to the store to question the sale, the manager said that in small writing under the special price is written "on marked items" The special "marked" items are mixed in with the full price "unmarked" items. Misleading advertising of cost of product and dependant of consumer to remember the product pricing at point of sale. Foodland IGA Morphett Vale.

Cant return items to different Foodland stores - because they are independent

published

@carol Bond
You cant return to different Foodland shops because they are not all owned by the same company like Coles and Woolworths
So you cant expect one shop owner to pay/ credit you when you bought an item from a different shop with quite possibly a different owner...
I find Foodland stores very helpful, clean and yes SA owned which is why i support them.

I like to support local

published

I shop at Foodland at Frewville and the shop is lovely. It has recently been done up which helps, but the range of food is good and the quality. Especially the meat and bakery section.

Only complaint is that I have encountered some very rude teenage girls on a checkout before so they need to pull them in to line.

Can't return items to another Foodland store?

published

I am disabled so getting about is hard. A friend took me shopping at Munno Para Foodland where by mistake I bought pitted dried prunes instead of unpitted dried prunes. simple I thought I could return the item with my receipt to another Foodland. WRONG ... this supposedly Australian Supermarket will not let you return items at another one of the stores. WHY NOT ... Woolworths and Coles do. I can't get back to Foodland at Munno Para easily and even if I could their policy sucks. I might add it doesn't say anything like this on their receipt docket.
I now intend to tell everyone of my experience and obviously never shop at Foodland again.

Thank you Littlehampton Foodland

published

After going to one of the larger supermarket chains today and receiving very poor customer service it made me realise how special my local Foodland is. You're always greeted at the checkout with a friendly welcome. Whenever the queues are getting too long extra staff are called up to help. The store is well managed, well-stocked and extremely well presented and easy to move around. Thank you for realising the importance of customer service and courtesy. It makes the onerous task of shopping much more pleasant.

Whats happening with your meat Foodland

published

I will no longer purchase meat of Foodland Salisbury North. Thats sad because I liked supporting SA. Meat packed in these trays with very tough plastic wrapping is always full of water when cooked. Obviously your pumping something into it.

I see I am not the first one to complain either. Other than the fact you cant brown your meat properly it is also ripping ppl off. I cooked a some rump recently. The weight was 800 grams and the amount of water that came off it was 265 mls. I collected it.

I am paying for that weight and I am not happy. You have lost a loyal customer Foodland. Buck up

Off Seafood - Freville Store

published

It's happened twice now where we've bought off Seafood from the Freville Store - Oysters and Prawns. Disappointingly staff could not care less either. Made a comment about it on the Foodland Facebook page and it was deleted.

Questions & Answers

Jack

Jackasked

Why does the Foodland at Yankalilla frequently run out of advertised specials? The specials shelves can be empty at any time during the cycle, including the first couple of days. This happens regularly, at any time of the year and when I ask about availability, the reply is often that the supplier is responsible for stocking the shelves or the store has been busy! In my opinion both of these issues are easily addressed by effective management. JH

You'd best check with individual local store as Foodlands are independent and as far as I know none of the larger banner groups do this yet
