Best value ever
I have had the basic entertainment package for the last few years. Not interested in sport or movies. Do people realise what you get? Apart from the basic cable news programs like BBC world news, Fox News, Sky News, Sky news UK, CNN, Russia, Bloomfeld, and many others. You get History, 2 crime channels, Discovery, and so much more all on demand or live. I’m not really sure how many others, just look up the list. All this for $26 per month. Dreadful Company
Have several times requested to get a loyalty discount (20 year customer) - nothing excessive, just aligned to what they are offering new customers. Got a token $10 off for 4 months offer if I signed a new 12 month contract. Latest attempt was after 45 minutes waiting to speak to someone. Last year had a 10 day outage due to Telstra fault. Had to ring up to get reimbursed for the loss of service. Seriously poor service company.

Outdated Reality Package
Many of the TV shows in the Foxtel Reality TV package are out of date, a hodgepodge of episodes and seasons, and they are far from current with what is being streamed in the US... watching Foxtel genuinely makes you feel like you are paying to watch reruns on a hotel television set at 3am. Shows that are over 10 years old have ads in between episodes, and we pay over $50 a month for that privilege.
With so many great streaming platforms at a fraction of the price, I do not understand why they don't update their streaming services to grab their slice of the market. It's a missed opportunity. I will be cancelling.

I’m leaving Foxtel (like everyone else)
After 2 hours of trying to separate my Foxtel and Telstra subscriptions when I moved my home internet service so that I could keep my Platinum HD Foxtel they cut my service anyway. The call centre is a mess so I’ve decided to do what most Australians are doing and will cancel my subscription outright. Foxtel is a relic and not worth it!

Fed up with repeats over and over again
We pay top dollar for repeats of shows or we start to watch a program like Brian on the island renovating it then nothing don't start what you cannot finish

stinks
12 commercials between shows is that a record free to air is is watchdogged but not rupert been with foxtel 20yrs but something they done to me was the last straw cancelled yesterday now they want me to pack up the 20 yr old box and remote and dont forget the cable and send it to them i will leave the dust on it they can have that too

BAD Customer Service
Due to the fact I was disconnecting my account they muck you around
While waiting for 3 hours i phoned on another phone pretending I wanted to connect to a new service and got through within 3 minutes, twice. Obviously they are using stalling tactics. I have been with Foxtel 12 years I will never use you again.
Very very Bad service I will spread the word.

Constant adverts, Even more than normal TV, and it just constantly freezes. Don’t waste your money! Can never get assistance from the customer service team either. Big Waste of money!!

I was charged for a free trial after signing up. I contacted them only to be told it seems that I have reactivated an account when I have never been a member. I sent them a screenshot of my sign up confirmation email And was told the same thing. This company does not care about you, even if they have stuffed up. They’re relying on your stupidity to not escalate issues. I mean, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out if I have created an account, passwords and received emails about it that I’m a new user.

never get it!!!
i signed up for the "free trial" and ended up getting charged anyway. I contacted them and they told me they won't give me a refund and that i didn't sign up for the free trial. they also said they don't send codes by text even though the website clearly states they SMS a free eligibility code. Very rude and a total scam.

Disgusting Behaviour...
I finally got in contact with Foxtel today after about 5weeks to cancel my account finally.....The most rudest of a man was adamant that I was in the wrong for not contacting Foxtel to cancel my subscription 2 days ago...2 days ago before the monthly cycle cut off.. 21/04/2020 my final bill was $114:00 because I got in contact with them today 23/04/2020 today.. my final bill is $243:00.. No sport - no discount!!
Have tried to contact Foxtel a number of times now about getting a discount on my subscription considering there are no live sports. Flat denial - very average customer service and no explanation of this was even being considered. Especially galling when I see they are revisiting their broadcast deals with major sports.

Speechless, well almost but persistence paid off!!
I had a problem with Foxtel, first my subscription wasn't renewed even after I had spent a 1/2hour on the phone with a service representative organising my continued package. Much to my surprise my next months bill had a higher subscription. Back on the phone for an hour this time I was told that the previous person had cancelled my subscription!! I was told I would be reinstated at the same rate as before and a credit would be raised against my account for the difference and that I would also receive 2 free movie rentals. l I received my next bill, this time I had been charged a late payment fee (instead of a credit) charged for 2 movie rentals AHH but at least my package charge was correct. Another 2 hour phone call which I had to basically go back to the original story of what had happened. I was told over and over that the account was correct as the phone call entered the 3rd hour the overseas consultant gave up, I was placed on hold and an Australian supervisor took over my call. I had to explain everything again and at last the penny dropped and she realised the error was indeed caused by Foxtel's inaccurate invoicing system. To add insult to injury no apology no nothing. At least Foxtel's overseas consultants were polite all though confused. The Australian supervisor acted as though she was doing me a favour with a very superior tone. My recommendation for Foxtel for new subscribers is to go elsewhere for streaming as you can get better content elsewhere an it is under $20 a month and no headaches.Similar opinion? Only gave them 1 star as you can't give them zero
This shower are too incompetent for words. Somehow associated my account with someone else leaving me unable to login and cancel their appalling service. Have so far stolen $25 and then a further $198 from me before I could cancel my debit card to stop them stealing more. Do yourself a favour and stay well away.

The worst customer experience you could provide
Foxtel are directing all enquires to a messaging service that uses BOT’s to direct your SMS but they will never respond. Have tried numerous times. Have increased my price without advising me and now will not respond to my query.

Disgracefull Service, Over-priced
I have been paying $270.00 per month for Foxtel including Foxtel now. Obviously partly my stupidity being sucked in .
I have been trying to cancel Foxtel but they keep saying they will bill me for longer even though they have also stopped me from viweing the ficticious sports channel and movies! When I also tried to cancel the useless sports chanel they indicated two other apps would be cancelled also even though they are billed seperately! Trying to cancel is virtually impossible. 12 months ago signing up to Foxtel I had initial issues with miss information about cost of plan. I was given a no contract month to month plan costing $114 for Premium HD with 2 set top boxes with no mention of finish date as there was no contract. Everything was fine until I moved addresses 3 weeks ago. e to pick up the phone. Have confirmed my new address, they told me all i needed to do was plug in and it will work. This was not the case Foxtel has actually deactivated my service instead of moving houses. 3 weeks later one of my set top boxes is still not working with no resolution from Foxtel whatsoever so I decided to cancel this box. Upon cancellation of this I was told by Foxtel that as of the end of April I am needing to pay $139 for one set top box and the same package I am already on for $114 for 2 boxes. When i questioned this I was told Foxtel made a mistake 12 months ago and now I have to pay. What a joke. When i have asked for a call they refuse, When i ask to speak to a manager to help me they refuse. They refuse to acknowledge or honour their agreement with me and have happily told me they will improve their service and they are sorry I was damaged in the process of them fixing their problem. Still no resolution to this 3 weeks in. Do not purchase foxtel do not sign a contract and do not let them back you believe you are in the wrong they will do all of this. I have lodged a complaint with the TIO to get some sort of help in dealing with this company as all they care about it getting as much money as they can for as little service they can provide. Foxtel lack of customer service
Been trying to downgrade my monthly package due to loss of income from current Covid-19 pandemic, for several weeks. No phone contact and no online option to do this. I have an IQ2 with a monthly cost of $113 plus WWE Main Events, every time they are on. I’ve had to ask hubby to now go without the WWE events until we get back on track financially. I’ve just requested via the SMS service they are using, to cancel the sports option along with the movie package. Bit fed up with paying premium prices for repeats of repeats, year after year. Been a loyal customer since 2003. Come on Foxtel. Please improve your customer service or you may end up with no subscribers.

Fact - I came here to have a look at this website tonight to see if anyone was having a bad experience. Guess what? Everyone except for the lucky retiree with a tech problem who managed to talk to a human is. Text Foxtel and tell them you are doing this because of their non-existent customer service and general incompetence. Also tell them Foxtel you will cut and paste your review on to every review website you can find. 2 Cancel your Foxtel account if you can find a way to do it!! 3 For sport, switch to Kayo and take their 14 day free trial (did this yesterday). Quality is good but I will not open a paid account with them until we have live sport happening again. 4 Movies - take your pick, Netflix, Apple TV, Stan whatever A combo of the above will still work out cheaper than Foxtel Sport-Movie combo by $20-30/mth. Sue, I agree with Shane O. unfortunately! There appears to be no logical explanation. If you query them, from experience, they're likely say that your cancellation notification was received into the next billing period.They're a law unto themselves. We've mentioned leaving foxtel and going to Kayofor sports but guess what?? It's owned by Foxsport and has terrible reviews of ripoffs too!! No escaping them if you want to watch regular footy matches.

i was increased from $82 to $107 without warning march was still trying to get answer in april day after direct debit was taken someone called my home no. but because i was not there to answer she sent email saying that my complaint will be ignored i went straight to my bank and had the direct debit cancelled and then had foxtel cancelled my advice if you are having trouble cancelling foxtel just go to your financial institution in cancel direct debit
