The only way to cancel this service is to ring, except you cant because they do not answer the phone.

I would encourage anybody who has sat on hold for an unreasonable amount of time only to give up is to fill out a complaint form, if they still fail to contact you then contact your credit card issuer to arrange a chargeback ( refund ).

Their conduct is morally reprehensible and by being uncontactable simply amounts to theft.

Foxtel - Hello is anyone there?

Spent all day on the phone trying to get through to anyone at Foxtel but no-one answers. With no local sport I wanted to discuss what could be done with the sports component of my package only, but with the attitude they are now displaying I will now cancel everything!

Won’t answer the phone

Foxtel have removed the option to change packages online and are not answering their phones. We are paying for channels that have nothing but reruns on them. It’s disgraceful and a rip-off!

Cannot cancel sport because they wont answer the phone. The option to do it on line has been removed.
We have all been conned. Wait time is an hour but after being on hold for 90mins wait time is still one hour.

Foxtel via Telstra Outages

I have not had Foxtel (via Telstra) since last Tuesday at lunchtime (it is now Saturday lunchtime) apart from a short period on Thursday evening. I can not get any explanation from Telstra or Foxtel (they simply hang up or fail to return calls as promised) nor any indication when the service will resume.
I have been a Foxtel customer since commencement. What rubbish service levels (and even worse for someone who doesn't have an aerial and is self isolating)!!!!!

Trying to ring to discuss reduction of my package and messaged they are short staffed due to the Corona Virus - waiting time 1 hour - poor customer service Foxtel! You wonder why you are losing subscribers... wake up!

Been trying to Cancel Foxtel Subscription, won't allow to complete online, waited 60 mins and told I must be Transferred and to wait another 60 minutes as soon as I said the word Cancel, we just don't want it ! Sent email with no response. If you sign up you may never get out !

To remove channel you are forced to ring. So I rang only to be told 35-40 minute wait as less staff due to virus. Why dont they allow online removal.

Called 10 times with over an hr wait times over 4 days. Understand the epidemic currently & staff shortages, however kept getting a voiceover stating to call back at another time then waited an hr to be told wait is still over an hr. No progression in the queue, then told to go to the website which wasn’t able to log into. Enquiry lodged no response after 2 days. Tried to Reset password for online service with no email response. Zero customer service available. If you do not have any customer service available to assist, then just be honest & state that on your voice over.

Long wait times, then Foxtel staff do not have answers miss information when purchasing product over all I personally would NOT recommend Foxtel to anyone also make sure you do your research regarding exactly what you are paying for.

Over 6 weeks of rotten ADSL, cant fix it after 4 visits

I have had constant dropouts of my Foxtel ADSL2+ for over 6 weeks now. Multiple techs have visited and all say there have been different issues in very different locations.
It fails whenever it rains but now the dial tone has gone again and I get the internet connection for around 3-4 minutes before it drops out again.
Rang 131999 to be told that they are prioritizing customers who have no internet and the wait is over an hour. You've got to be joking Foxtel, this is TERRIBLE service!
The Telecommunications Ombudsman has been notified yet again.
This account will be cancelled, never again!

Worst customer service ever!

I've continually got bad service. I've been a loyal customer for years, always paying my bills on time etc. But continually have problems with my account, IQ box, there's always some problem. Then to try & contact them to work it out!! Good luck, still to this day nothing has ever been resolved. As soon as I'm in a better area, I'll give Foxtel the boot!! Absolute joke for what you pay for. Im sitting here with clear skies, apparently I'm in an affected area, but had no signal for 5 days now. I never get rebates or discounts, so 5 days out of 30 i can't view? Do you think I'll get a discount off for 5 days of no viewing LOl!! Stay away from Foxtel if you can, truly a continuous bad service!!!!

Blaming coronaviris for bad tech support

Two weeks ago my TV and Foxtel IQ3 were damaged due to electrical storm. Contacted Foxtel, sent out a replacement IQ3 box. Followed instructions to activate but was not successful. A few days ago began to contact Foxtel tech support via phone. Spent 76 minutes on hold getting 'wait time 30 to 45 minutes', then 20 to 30 minutes, then back out to 30 to 45. Eventually gave up. Next day came straight back with 'wait time is over 1 hour due to staff shortages because of the coronaviris'. Last night rang at 9.30pm and message straight up was 'we have closed early because of virus'. Love watching my sport, otherwise would tell them to stick it!

Foxtel has once again let us all down no American Idol this year The best show for talent ever we are lucky to be able to watch it on you tube. You Foxtel keep letting us down with your crap ancient programmes Adverts galore and so many repeats. Well i am sadly saying goodbye as a disabled pensioner all i wanted was up to date coverage

Despite sporting events being cancelled left and right, Foxtel will not let you out of the sports package until the next billing cycle. So mandatory paying for very little for 29 more days. They'd rather squeeze a few extra dollars out of a customer, and create this tremendous negative experience. Already planning to move away from them altogether now. My patience has long since expired. Never experienced such inflexible, unfriendly customer service!

i was increased from $82 to $107 without warning march was still trying to get answer in april day after direct debit was taken someone called my home no. but because i was not there to answer she sent email saying that my complaint will be ignored i went straight to my bank and had the direct debit cancelled and then had foxtel cancelled my advice if you are having trouble cancelling foxtel just go to your financial institution in cancel direct debit

I’ve been with Foxtel since they started and have just realised I’m being ripped off
I am paying $113 a month on an iq2 box which does not include sport Netflix
I am still paying for the essentials pack drama movies and documentaries
Tried to ring to cancel and the message was no operator available due to corona virus
Must say I am over watching 20 year old reruns
Foxtel is dead to me

Yep. I am also disillusioned with their service levels (having been a Customer since their 1st year in Australia) and am considering cancelling my services (2 outlets). You do look to have been overcharged and should put the hard word on them. If they think that you are going to cancel then they may come to the party.

It is impossible to talk to anyone as their whole call centre is down.
No matter how you try and contact them soon as you mention the dreaded C word (CANCEL) you can't get any further,
Another interesting thing after a bit of research is that I found I am actually paying for their service monthly in advance and even if you miss the payment date by even a day they hit you with up to a $30 penalty on top of your bill.
How is it possible to be penalised for a service that you are yet to receive ( Possibly unlawful)
Would love to hear from anyone else who has realised that this is happening.

tried the same thing - mentioned cancel and that was the last comms. going to stop the payments at the bank end and even while I am on contract I dont feel that they are in a position to get nasty when they cant provide the sports package I am paying for - they are acting unconscionably
