Faulty Franke Sink

published

The plumber attempted to install the Franke sink but it was very bowed. He called Franke and was rudely spoken to by customer service who talked down to him as if he didnt know what he was doing. She was telling the plumber how to install the sink and did not even listen to his comments that it was too bowed to install. This person should listen more and not continue to speak and be so rude. We went back to the retailer who replaced it. I do like the sink but no more orders from us for Franke products due to no customer service.

Purchased in for $990.

Loving this sink so far

published

A month ago we had our Franke Urban sink installed. It looks great and I am finding it a breeze to keep clean. I would recommend installing it with a pull out spray tap so that you can easily rinse it out when needed. The Franke Rollmat (purchased separately) has been useful as it provides extra space to stack the dishes and for somewhere to place hot pans directly from the oven. I believe the sink is also heat resistant but I have been too afraid to test it out.
UPDATE 12 MONTHS ON: The sink still looks as good as it did the day it was installed. Highly recommend this sink and if I ever move I'll be installing one at the new house.

Yes you can drill a hole in the top of the Franke Urban sink. We had our plumber do this for our sink and then installed a mixer tap.

Hi Mick Yes you can. Our sink even came with the drill attachment to use to make the hole.
