Garden Express Online store is a Gardeners Delight
Online storeMy Hippeastrums Mixed arrived all good big sized fresh bulbs, plump, fresh and strong roots just a pleasure to receive. Bulbs carefully packed with shredded paper protection and a helpful planting guide.
Having just paid $35.00 plus postage to another well know bulb grower for one big bulb that the grower's internet page assured his buyers he had seen flower arrived as two tiny shrivelled unwrapped bulbs.
I would recommend Garden Express Online store for any bulb purchases.
Plants arrived in totally unacceptable condition
Online storeI purchase to native pig face plants and when they arrived the stems on both plants were brown and shrivelled. I contacted them and ask for advice as to how to save my plants and received no response. I will not be buying from the place ever again.

Online storeI ordered a “rare” pink hydrangea for over $50. It arrived well packed and I planted it in a pot using top quality potting mix. (Unfortunately I didn’t keep the label). It flowered late in the season but guess what? It was WHITE! and looked suspiciously like an established not rare hydrangea already in my garden. On reporting this to Garden Express along with photos I received a reply … a lecture about hydrangea colour and soil type an an offer to sell me a colour agent for the soil! Non customer service is one of the problems of on-line shopping I guess but can they get away with treating their customers with disdain?

Kangaroo couple stakes
Online storePurchased for $89.95 the rustic kangaroo couple to put in the garden. Definitely not worth the money paid. They are so light and flimsy, the stakes that are supposed to hold them are far too short and bend far too easily. What a cheap and nasty (not to buy) product, this company should be ashamed of themselves to have such on their website.

Those that grew and flowered were beautiful, but a significant number of bulbs did not grow and flower. As I read that Garden Express guarantees their products, I phoned, then followed up with an email, detailing numbers of bulbs planted and the number which actually grew and flowered. Some varieties grew and most or all flowered but in many cases there were significant numbers that did not, hence lodging a request for a refund for the non p

I was asked to remove the bulbs from their large pots - the foliage had died after the growing season, and send photos of remaining bulbs of 3 or 4 representative samples. I sent 20 photographs of 5 varieties of poorly performing tulips as requested. After 4 phone calls and 6 emails detailing growing conditions and several hours in removing bulbs from pots, photographing them and emailing them to Garden Express as requested, I was told by the lady on the phone that her supervisor now wanted me to do this for all 17 batches of tulips which would take many hours and I had already complied with what I was asked to provide. I have been growing tulips and other bulbs for 17 years and my bulbs have been featured in Gardening Australia Magazine. I am a qualified experienced horticulturist. At this stage I was disgusted with the supervisors attitude, and said forget it; I was not wasting more time when I had already provided what I had been asked for. If you read through the reviews, many are good and applaud good service and results, but almost all that report sub standard plants or poor results are snubbed and not believed or compensated, despite the stated guarantee on Garden Express listings. Buyer beware! The staff I spoke to by phone were pleasant but the company attitude regarding refunds for dud plants is a disgrace. Time to speak to state and federal consumer affairs departments. I recommend this for all dissatisfied customers. Lift your game Garden Express and honor your guarantee or remove any reference to it.Find out how Garden Express compares to other Garden Shops

Online storeI have bought a large range of plants varying from bulbs, flowering perennials and annuals to bushes. Absolutely amazing quality of plants. I received an Escallonia which was not looking very healthy and they sent me a replacement right away. Will continue purchasing from them!
