Worst mover
Please stay away on any of the Gardenline product since i had a bad experienced. From the mower, edge trimmer to the blower are all poorly designed. Its cheap and its crap!!!! Mower's handle is falling off every few minutes since the method of fixing of the handle is by means of nut and screw which get loosen when you are mowing. Worst ever mower. PLEASE PLEASE stay away.

Worst mower EVER
I am a motor mechanic and I have rebuilt and used many mowers over the years. Still have a few, but thought it would be nice to have a new one so that my daughter can use it. But...
Hard to start from new. Catcher clips apart every time, "hubcaps" fall off, one has been mulched, air filter cover clips off if you hit a low little branch, height adjuster sticks past wheels and gets caught on plants, has ridiculous range going the wrong way, virtually sits flat on the ground, catcher hook on terrible, channel fills with clipping and need to cl...Read more
ear it to hook it back on. Catcher does not have a back handle, very hard to push along unless real low lawn and rock hard ground.... If I could get my $150 back I would put towards a REAL mower, like a Victa!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

There could have been a death!
This mower was purchased as a Christmas gift in 2016. We have a tiered property and it is difficult to drag the lawn mower to the back. My father in law purchased this for us and it was kept in the lower backyard shed. Over the year of ownership it has been used 5 to 6 times on a lawn approx 50sqm. Fuel and oil always checked prior to use. The last 2 times we attempted to use it just wasn't starting. Motor checked over. No apparent reasons why it wouldn't start.
We would give up and use the front yard lawn mower. Finally it started this weeke...Read more

Surprisingly Brilliant
My husband loves this lawnmower. Rechargeable battery operated key start (no more pulling, so even I can start it with ease). Self propelled. Makes mowing lawns much easier and more enjoyable. Easy to assemble. This mower is much better than you would think and definately one of Aldi's superior products.

Simple to use
Easy to use, low cost, standard lawn mower really. The large wheels are a good feature makes it a lot easier to move around. I can mow my lawn on a full tank, I do have a big yard! Light weight to which also makes it easier on mowing the lawns.

21" $399 self propelled dead in warranty
Assembly was easy. Mower started 1st pull everytime until one day 2 years in it stopped & warranty repairer says catastrophic engine failure rendering it useless.
Shame really as I thought briggs & stratton engines (675 model) were pretty good as there are millions in use.
Self propel was good.
Height adjustment was always too high for my liking meaning we had to mow more often.
Throttle cable near engine required adjusting several times due to weak construction.
Still not a bad mower for the price.
Now to see what Aldi will do as a replacement or refund with the letter from repairer stating it is cactus.
Edit to add: Nice to report back that Aldi refunded the whole purchase price of $399 with no hassle.

Good product for reasonable price
Reasonable price for a good lawn mower!!! It is Easy to operate and maintain. Thanks to the large wheel, it makes to move the lawn mower around easily. It is petrol efficiency. A full tank can mow my back and front without refill. The noise level is also very good.

Excellent machine
I have honestly found this mower to be more than I expected for the low price I really did not expect it to perform like it did n I told my son about it n showed him how nice it cuts the lawn and he agreed it was a cut so even n he agreed it was a job you would expect from one of those more expensive mowers n he had a go and he could not believe how good it monuvered around the yard and how easy it was to push and to clean it was a piece of cake so to speak

Good mower
Very easy to use, the mower has a reasonable price too. Very economical in fuel too, starts in one kick.I will for sure recommend it instead of buying those Bunnings expensive mowers. It does not heat easily too.I hope ALDI sell these type of mowers often.Aldi keep it up against our others oz stores

Can't fault it
Have owned this for 5 months now, and has not missed a beat. Only charged twice in 5 months, battery is removed after every use. So easy to use, propelled drive is great, perfect speed. Height Adjustments on the mower are spot on, with nice big catcher, this was our best Aldi buy yet.

Perfect and cheap
I used to borrow a Vecta mover from a friend, before we bought this one from Aldi and believe me, it does a great job.Its easy to manoeuvre and even comes with a hard catcher. I have been using it every other week and the blades are quite sharp and its starts easily.

Good and cheap petrol mower!
Always heard about the Aldi petrol lawn mower is good, all I can say is we will never go back to the electric mower again, its much more powerful and no lead!!!! Very sturdy build, and come with a hard catcher, so the rumor is true, it is a good and cheap option for people who don't want to spend few hundred dollar on a lawn mower.

Perfect one, good price
I bought it from Aldi because it is cheaper than Bunnings. I can't believe it is very strong to lawn the mow. My lawn is grow so fast so I have to use them once a week. I campared it with my friend's one that he bought from Bunnings their are extremely same strong.

Better than what you would imagine
For under $100, the ALDI Lawnmower is really easy to set up, use and maintain. It's not a fancy schmancy gadget by any means but honestly, it's very good value for money. I got this mainly for my dad who is getting older in age and he commented that it was easy to start and manouvre around his yard. Would recommend.

Hopeless warranty spares support
The mower worked well for 3 uses with the exception that it was a little hard to start and the self propel function would take a few seconds to cut out from letting go of the handle. But then the electric start ceased to work. I could finish the job to hand because it has also a conventional rope start. But, it being brand new, I rang the Toolklub (who look after the majority of Aldi's Gardenline range). They provided names and addresses of two local service agents...I picked the closest. The mower has been there now 6 weeks. Apparently the ign...Read more
ition switch is the problem which has been on order for 2 weeks. The local folks couldn't give me any ETA so I contacted Toolklub and they said there were none in stock and will be at least a month coming in from overseas...but again, no real idea if it were ordered or not. I *think* the mower is good...but I can't say I have extensive experience with it. The warranty support is woeful. I have to chase answers, the Toolklub has drones answering the phone and there is no detailed information. Overall a frustrating and time consuming exercise!Similar opinion? Mower
This mower is great for us as a family. The best feature is.......how easy it is to start. Even my 12 yes old can do it. Which means he has a new chore now! Yay for Mum and Dad. The catcher can be removed. Cuts well and ithat is easy to push.

Good mower for the money
Great little mower easy to start, cuts well, easy to use and hasn’t missed a beat. Very happy with it and would highly recommend it. The only issue that we are having is that the catcher broke and we can’t seem to buy a replacement catcher for it anywhere as ALDI don’t stock spare parts.

Found some issues at first start
I recently bought from aldi a163 cc gardenline power lawn mower The catcher opens from one side and needs to be fixed pushing it into place. The mower produces a lot of dust .I have used twice and same results .Catcher keeps opening from one side and a lot of dust is produced when mowing. Is there a way to fix this issue?
Thanks

Cheap simple mower
A little bit hesitant at first but mower was easy to assemble and get working. Easy to start and solid cutting blade does a good job. We were looking for a light easy to manage mower and this is perfect for the job. Mower runs at one speed and is quiet. We have used it on a large lawn area.
Only negative part is the catcher. Quite a small capacity and needs changing often.

Where do I get parts for my mower

I expect that, like cars, there are generic parts for mowers. I would start with your local mower repair place to see if they have what you need.
