Rubbish

published

Counts steps while I am sitting perfectly still, doesn’t sync with ANT+ Garmin heart rate monitor, used it for a week and just laughed at how many steps it thought I was doing, when you make changes in the app it doesn’t change on the Vivofit, ie display, overall really poor product. i would not recommend this product to anyone

A tracker you don't have to charge

published

Low on style and a little low on substance, but year-long battery life and a highly customizable interface make the Garmin Vivofit 3 a good low-maintenance tracker.

Super-long battery life
Always-on display
Functions as a watch

Software not as fun as Fitbit/Jawbone
No phone notifications
Not as pretty as alternatives

Great to use without recharging

published

I've owned this for up to 2 months now and the battery life is great if you're the type that doesn't like recharging their fitness device all the time. You are able to download an app that lets you customise the interface on your device. The only thing I marked it down for was the lack of vibrating wake up calls.

a value for money device

published

I bought this for my daughter to encourage her to be more active. She had the same device before this new one also. It became a part of her body. Easy to use and quite a good estimate of the activities she has done over a day.

The display from one of the digits got erased so it got confusing sometimes.

Garmin Vivofit 3 - a great little companion.

published

I've had this fitness tracking watch for a number of years as it was a hand-me-down, and I wonder how I've gone without it for so long.
It's an awesome little watch, the battery lasts for months on end, the only downside to this watch is the screen is somewhat delicate. I used this watch while building quite a number of months ago and unfortunately the screen scratched up quite bad, the screen developed some dead pixels and the overall usability has gone down.

Having said this though, it's a very accurate activity tracker, it's very light and comfortable, even when sweaty.

Would recommend purchasing if you're in the market for a fitness watch.

not perfect

published

have used this for a month now, issues include: - driving car to work incorrectly records every bump in the road as a step - regardless of wearing on right or left wrist, incorrectly records many daily tasks as steps - my phone and vivofit often will not connect to download activity

Broke after 12 months exactly

published

This product was bought for my daughter who looked after it meticulously. After 1 year it just stopped working. It was a few days out of warrantee so of course the store would not replace it for us. I would have thought it would be far more durable and am disappointed at it not lasting for longer.

Works well, takes a while to get used to controls.

published

As a step counter, it works fabulous. MoveIQ doesn't seem to work correctly for me. I rode my bike twice for at least 20 minutes this last week and it didn't count any of them as riding my bike. It did recognize when I walked fast for intensity minutes. I haven't yet tried swimming or running with it. But I really wanted this upgrade for it to recognize my bike rides...which it did not. There is no type of adjustment or sampling to have it recognize biking correctly. It just doesn't work for me.

Has suddenly stopped working exactly after warranty finished and I had no choice. Customer care says can't help. Not a reliable product. Please spend money on something else. There are so many other products that you can buy. This is going to be waste of time. Please don't choose. Go for garmin

Great for kids

published

We were deciding on Vivo Fit Junior or Vivo Fit. We decided on VivoFit for our 9 year old nephew & dont regret. He loves it & it will last him a good few years. He loves the celebration fireworks on screen when he reaches his daily target. Doesnt need charging. Fantastic all round.

Get something better for your money

published

We have been through 4 of these, which Garmin have had to replace under warranty. The pixels dissipate after not long, and you can’t read the watch. When it’s actually working, it’s great! It counts your steps and tells the time, but for my money, I’d rather spend the extra and get something better,

Great Fitness Watch

published

Had the watch for about 2 months. Awesome data that the watch is collecting. It has helped my fitness greatly. I wear it 24/7 and it’s so light I don’t even notice it! Stack of sport and fitness options to use and monitor your progress. Looks awesome on the wrist. Some complain about music that can’t be added but I don’t use that feature anyway! Regular updates have been improving the watch! Only thing I don’t like it does not calculate stair indoors perfectly but I can live with that. Great all round fitness watch!

This got me up and moving

published

Bought this to help motive me to move more. Well it worked. Since buying it I have started walking at least 5 times a week. I have lost 5kgs and feel better for it. I love the sleep data feature as well. The built in battery and waterproof feature makes this the ideal activity tracker

Upgrade fron Vivofit 2

published

2 line screen allows me to see time and date. The band feels nicer but screen rotstes around arm. Old one did not do this. Too tight and it leaves marks
Screen is proud of rubber. I have already scratched it. Not happy.
New style clasp has started popping out. Worried i might loose it.
Update. After 3 close calls. Falling off at home and in car. I've now list it.

This is so much better than the Vivofit 2

published

It's accurate, no messing around with it falling off or trying to change the battery, its so much more compact now and even has a back led light, I love it as the other fell apart, this is easier and much more modern minus any problems like the issues they had before with vivofit 2.

Just OK

published

I bought this as an upgrade to the vivofit 2. The main reason is the alerts etc but the sound is poor and it is bit of a nuisance that it does not keep sending reminders after ignoring it. It would be better if vibration could be better used and I would prefer the vivofit 2 given the price.

Easy to use functional

published

Had a Fitbit before but the Garmin vivofit easily surpasses it
The smartphone app is easy to navigate only problem I have had with it was could not connect it to my phone after an Android upgrade but that was fixed by resetting the vivofit to default settings and then syncing it with my phone and all my settings were restored

Awsome watch

published

Got this watch from office works, awesome watch, has helped me a lot with my fitness and my partners. Tracks my activity and so easy to receive notifications and updates on the go. Good sound for such an small device. Only bad thing is if you accidentally hit it, the metal scratches on the side.

Fitness bracelet

published

The Vivofit 3 does everything the 2 does & more. Love the 12 month battery as don’t have to worry about charging it. Moniters sleep, steps, running, calories & much more. Being iwatrproof adds to its appeal as can go swimming without having to remove it. A great fitness bracelet.
