Versatile & Lightweight
I bought the Garmin for my 12year old daughter when she started high school.
She loves it & very rarely takes it off. It is waterproof and comes in different colours.
It is stylish and easy to wear. She mostly loves that she can calculate her steps and likes achieving her goal.

Great product - user friendly - my son loves it
Bought this for my 10 year old son, he wears it everyday & has become so much more active counting his steps & trying to achieve his goal. User friendly with just enough functions for a child to use.
Looks good, not too flashy which is perfect, at the price of $99 I couldn't ask for anything better.

Reasonable, could be better
I bought this as I wasn't keen on spending huge $ on a sports watch. Bit disappointed now. It was okay, but I question if it is correct as it doesn't seem as accurate as my old Fit Bit. (Fit bit band broke and couldn't be replaced). But the band can be replaced which is a win. Wouldn't buy it again.

It's perfect if it comes in a smaller wrist band
I've had a Garmin Vivofit 1 and 2 and a Vivosmart so I'm a big fan of the Garmin fitness products. They are reliable and simple to use. May not be the trendiest look but definitely lasts. Vivofit 3 like it's the other vivofit series is basic but consistent. It measures steps and comes in 365 days battery life (and also backlit light). The only problem I have is that I have a small wrist and their band only comes in one size ... but I guess that's not really a deal breaker as you can buy a smaller band from eBay less than $5. Overall it's a great fitness tracker that delivers.

Garmin Vivosmart
Bought one in December 2016. I find this gadget to motivate me more in the gym. This is because of its functional capability and colourful style! Just the right one for me! It shows my vital signs, number of steps, and its tourquoise colour, my favourite, helps refresh my vision every time I look at it!

My second Garmin
This is my second Garmin. First one was the Garmin 1 and unfortunately it died for some reason. lasted about 1.3years. I was happy with it so decided to get the Garmin 3 with a 2 year warranty. It is not the best looking design but you don't have to charge it and it's waterproof. Basically i never take it off. I only use it for time and to count steps but it does also count calories and has a stop watch and beeps at you when you need to move which is good if you have an office job.

Love this thing!!
I love this thing!! Best thing ever - love the battery life and it's accuracy. Has really motivated me and i like the way you can either get it to increase your target or have it remain static. My only complaint would be that the distance travelled doesn't seem to be that accurate.

Much better than fitbit products
I recently purchased a Garmin Vivofit 3 after being unsatisfied with a Fitbit Flex 2. So far I'm really happy with it - given it has a one year battery life there's no need to muck around charging it. It's waterproof so can be worn swimming (although not designed to track laps swum, they can be entered through the app) and in the shower, and unlike the fitbit flex 2 doesn't have to be taken apart and dried thoroughly after it gets wet (although they do advise you to rinse it in fresh water if it's been in chlorinated water). It isn't very comfo...Read more
rtable to wear whilst sleeping (although that's because I sleep with my arm under my body, so feel the lump of the tracker). I'm still getting used to what it can do and how to use it. I suggest downloading the user manual or using google to find out how to do things as the quick start manual doesn't tell you much - but google does eg how to change from miles to kilometres when tracking. The step count is no less accurate than my fitbit products were. The sleep tracking is impressive - shows whether you were awake, light sleep, deep sleep as well as how much you moved whilst asleep. One thing that I'm finding annoying is that, even after I've hit my steps goal of 10,000 steps in a day, once I've been inactive for over an hour it will give me reminders to move - but I suppose that's actually a good thing and something I should pay attention to! Still trying to figure out how to add different activities or have it register them, but so far I much prefer my Garmin product than my Fitbit ones - and it's the same price for a similarly functioning product. UPDATE TO REVIEW - I ended up having to take my Garmin Vivofit 3 back to Rebel 6 weeks after I purchased it, as it had a fault where lines were missing on the screen, and it constantly got worse over a couple of days to the point where you couldn't read the screen. Replacement product working fine so far.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
