Flashy piece of machinery ... looks and sounds amazing BUT let's be honest no one needs a straightener making decisions for you!!!! 180 degrees is safer for the hair... BUT not if your CONSTANTLY touching up because you DIDN'T get that smooth, sleek straighten you want and get at 220. I trusted the new technology would deliver and persisted for several days hoping to be impressed ...but I wasn't satisfied!!! Now I know I need to control the heat to get the lasting salon results and my hair will be healthier with ME in control. Save your money!!!

I have frizzy/wavy thick hair. I have used eclipse GHD in the past and was so excited when I received new platinum plus as a gift from hubby. The eclipse made my hair much sleeker and shinny. However im never able to achieve those results with this new ghd platinum plus. It takes much much longer to straighten and the results are not even satisfying. I have been using this for over a year now and keep giving it a chance that maybe I’ll like it one day. But no, it’s been like this from day one. It’s not worth the price honestly. I’m disappointed.

I have tried almost all sorts of products available in the market, but I always come back to GHD. Bought GHD Platinum Plus straightener and couldn't ask for anything better. I have straight but heavy volume hair so its Less damaging, quick and easy to use for me. Love it!!

I love this straightener so easy to use glides through your hair leaving it shiny and silky wouldn’t buy a different brand heats up in about 3 seconds and doesn’t ruin your hair like some straighteners

I received this for Christmas and can’t use. I have used a GHD all my life but this model seems cheap and nasty. It won’t glide through my hair and gets stuck and pulls. It leaves my hair looking dry and waves. It’s clunky to use. Customer service to get this refunded or replaced is terrible both through the salon and GHD extremely disappointed would not recommend this straightener ya all

I have used the for 10yrs. The latest platinum styles does not work and my hair is still curly and wavy. It works like a cheaper brand. Very disappointing after paying a huge price tag. Also very disappointing customer service.

Nice sleek design, heats up fast and is hot, straightens the hair so well without damaging it like my last straightener, but my favourite feature is that it turns itself off if you arent using it and forget!

I have to go over my hair to straighten it a few times I have to dry it straight and than straighten a little bit at a time to get the most straight hair

Bought a platinum straightener, got the red ring of death after 3 months, hardly used much, once a week maybe, got a new one from ghd because it was under warranty, now my other one has gotten the red ring. Again hardly used much, have had that one for two years but spending that much money on an item it should last longer, of course it’s two months past the warranty now. I would absolutely not recommend them, they are poorly made and way overpriced for the quality you receive.

I previously owned an eclipse GHD straightener, it made my hair shiny, sleek and straight from top to bottom; giving off a very fresh look. It since died and decided to purchase the new White Platinum +
When I turned it on the sound was muffled and sounded cheap compared to the eclipse. I found that the plates would catch on my freshly blow dried hair when dragging it through my sectioned off hair. The finish of my hair looked dry and not nearly as fresh as the eclipse. It still does the job, but it is a down grade if you’re use to an older model GHD

The last time I bought a GHD was in 2012 limited edition peacock straightener. I thought this time I would go for a top of the line model and got the platinum plus. It is not as nice to hold, feels flimsy and not as well made. Heats up quick but feels like it’s burning my hair more than my old model. It is also catching my hair in the little crevices and feels like it’s pulling even though I’m not holding it closed tightly. I’ve loved my GHD straighteners for so long but this model is a real let down.

I am so obsessed with ALL GHD products but this straighter is just unreal. It is smooth on the hair and keeps my hair straight for days. It taken only a few seconds to heat up. and it is just so easy to use!

I’ve had my straightener for 12 months and doesn’t matter how I clean it or how often it just continues to pull hair when you use it and you cannot set the temp on it, 180 degrees is the temperature that should be used on hair with straighteners.
It doesn’t straighten very well.

Love my new GHD. The biggest difference between this and my last ghd is how it maintains heat. I have very long hair and my old model cooled down as it reached the mid lengths, slowing down the whole process! The platinum + stays consistently hot the entire time, so much faster. I feel that it actually makes my hair shinier. An expensive appliance but well worth the extra if you are straightening you hair every second day.

The ghd platinum plus hair straightener works fast to straighten hair. Sleek design and quick to heat up. Easy to use, lightweight. More pricey compared to other straighteners on the market.

Why the fuss . They say it’s better than the original well I could not see the difference considering the price. It has some issues so not worth the price difference

Got this for my birthday this year in May 2022 and it has been the best thing since sliced bread! Every other hair straighteners I have had have not lasted! My toddler has even thrown this one and it’s still perfect!

Literally had for 3 years max, I hardly use it, always stored in its pouch in the box, and I was half way through my hair tonight when it sparked poofed and blew up. Waste of money.! No doubt theyll do nothing due to it not being in 12 months
