Got this for my birthday this year in May 2022 and it has been the best thing since sliced bread! Every other hair straighteners I have had have not lasted! My toddler has even thrown this one and it’s still perfect!

Literally had for 3 years max, I hardly use it, always stored in its pouch in the box, and I was half way through my hair tonight when it sparked poofed and blew up. Waste of money.! No doubt theyll do nothing due to it not being in 12 months

Great to use. Reliable and durable. I would die without my god. It’s my 3rd and would buy another one. Had a mini but left it in a unit at beach.

I was upgraded to the platinum plus after my previous platinum thermostat failed twice, I actually regret getting the platinum plus it has caused me so much pain since getting it, my hair is constantly getting my hair stuck in the plates and ripping hair out, other then that I have found it’s a great ghd my hair has never been healthier or shinier but it’s really not worth the daily pain of hair being ripped out.

Was a bit expensive, but worth every penny. My hair is thick, frizzy and untamable, but I use the straightener twice a week the day after I wash my hair and have smooth, frizz free hair all week. Heats up within 20 seconds, just remember to use heat protection product.

My hair has been so much healthier since using the Platinum styler! Was recommended by a friend and its been great! I use it daily to create nice waves in my hair, much easier to use than a hair curler.

Actually it's good easy to use and not heavy it's really good to have one of new style ones as we cant go for a saloon all the time because of busy schedule and time as well good one Ghd is really nice Thanks

I purchased this straightener from ebay cuz I watched one video online seeing one youtuber using this straightener to curve her hair. So I purchased it and trying to learn from her. But I found out it is easy to use it to straighten, but not for curving. The curve always not that curved.

Really happy with this straightener. Love how quickly it heats up and how I only have to go over the section once. My hair feels healthier and lasts longer then when I do my hair with other branded straighteners.

I had the platinum styler (which a lot of people on here seem to be reviewing as opposed to platinum plus)
It broke when I had it just under 2 years so I contacted GHD and they received item and confirmed broken then emailed me to say they no longer had that product but would replace with a new platinum plus which is the newest upgraded model that has replaced the platinum that had many problems.
So the one people on here are reviewing if they are saying owned for almost 2 years etc.. is the platinum not the platinum plus, GHD have removed platinum and replaced it.
I have not used my new ones yet so cannot comment on those yet!

This is my 3rd GHD straightener over many years of using this brand. I only use it on my fringe as I use an electric brush for the length. About 2 months ago my Platinum styler started beeping and the red light was flashing. On investigation I was told this styler was unable to be repaired and that this is a common problem with this model. I am very disgusted as it is out of warranty and cost me over $300.

Since contacting GHD customer service and discussing the issue they have decided to replace my styler with a new Platinum Plus model.

Was a great straightener until it defaulted and burnt my hair quite badly. It isn't acceptable for the product to blow up even if it's been used for 1.5 yrs. Ridiculous. Waste of money, faulty product and damages hair.

I have had 4 of these over the last 10 years and all have died with electrical faults. GHD refuse to replace it after I have contacted them as it is out of the 1 year warranty period. If you pay this amount of money for a straightener you expect it to last longer. My sister and I also take extremely good care of the product and are very careful with it. Very dissapointed in the service.

Works so quickly which is super important when placing heat on your hair. Is aesthetically pleasing, light and heats up incredibly quick. Worth the cost and works great as a gift!

This straightener is the best ever. It heats up fast, it works quickly and so sleek and stylish! I’ve had previous ghd models that don’t even compare to this model. A definite buy!

I got this as a Christmas gift from my parents a year ago and I love it. I have quite coarse, long and thick hair that has been colored and my hair looks incredibly healthy when I use the ghd, although I find that it stays curled for longer than straight

I loved this straightener till it started flashing red and beeping not long after my warranty expired. Contacted customer support and was told they would give me a discount on a new one..... I won’t be purchasing another one at over $300 it’s not worth it.
