Time saver that gets the job done
I recently purchased the Hansa C16 for my 5 acre property and it's one of the best tools I have ever bought. This little beast does what it was designed for with ease, what took me 2 hour's plus to chip with my old Chinese chipper, the Hansa would consumed in just over half hour. Chips coconut palms fronz & bamboo no problem at all. With tree branches in the 80mm to 105 mm thickness it's best cut in to 1 meter lengths Appox as too long branches in that thickness can bog down the machine if blades are not kept sharp. it. December 5th 2018 Update: One of the best NZ/Australian wood chipper I have had this chipper for almost a year now on my small acreage property, and I must say it is one of the best purchases I have ever made, a real pleasure to use. No more wasting time taking valuable tree branches palm fronzs and bamboo to the dump, all get chipped and mulched and put back into the garden, my fruit trees love it. It will chip branches up to 100-105mm but only in short lengths of 70 to 90cm there's no need to trim the side of anything less in diameter branches are just drawn it into the chipper. Starts first time every time. I Love it.

This should answer your question lots of big bamboo being mulched up, but they must be cut into say no more than 1.5 meter lengths depending on the diameter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVNfr-KIb_Y
John L.Hansa Chippers
Yes Johnny is right, best to keep lengths shorter with bamboo so the flywheel can spin at its maximum speed. You can also see another video of our smaller C7 doing some 70mm bamboo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-jbWV9VUuI&t=1s
