We purchased our 6 burner glass cooktop for our new build. From the get go there were issues with the ignition. 1 week after moving into our home and using the cooktop a hairline crack appeared from 1 burner to another! Technician came out and had a look and said that it's definitely a fault in the glass as there were also bubbles appearing around each burner. Fast forward 3 months and not hearing a word from highland we decided to enquire about our claim and suprise suprise they are accusing us of dropping something to crack it! Absolutely disgusting customer service never will i be intrigued to purchase something based purely on the fact that it's australian made!

I bought this cooktop or something similar. Mine comes with three burners, which includes the wok burner. I like this cooktop but the worst thing about it is the cleaning process. Trying to keep it clean is a nightmare. If you spill soup / gravy, or if it boils over, you have to undo the screws before you can clean the cooktop thoroughly. Another challenge is trying to keep the gas hob clean. The recommendation is to use soapy water but when there is baked on grease, it is next to impossible to clean merely with soapy water. If you use Creme cleaner like ‘Jif’, it will remove the coating. Aaaaarrrggghhh!

Looking to buy this cooktop. It seems to be the deal with 22 Mj wok burner, Aust made and good quality. However I can't find any reviews and wondered if this is some sort of omen.
