This very expensive cooktop lasted only four years, and was very well cared for. Both boards failed for no apparent reason and quoted $1400 for parts: did not replace. Franke now own Highland and would not consider assisting with costs. Would not recommend this product.

High expectations from an Australian manufacturer. Unfortunately once something goes wrong with their product it can take 2+ years for a fix. Customer is expected to pay as delay usually means warranty period has ceased. Had hoped to support Australian manufacturing and also recommend to clients, though unfortunately cannot. On paper a good product, let down by their customer service.

While the burners themselves aren't anything to complain about, the stove itself can become dangerous with age. The burner labels are merely screen painted onto the SS facade and wear off after a couple years. Company will not acknowledge the problem and change the design so the labels cannot wear off. Once the labels wear off (and they all have) the knobs no longer have on or off or high or low positioning which can make the stove dangerous when used by anyone not familiar with it. We had to have the settings engraved into the facade and it looks like poop. Would not buy this stove again, and we will have to replace it with another brand before we can sell, the house.
Purchased 5 years ago then had to replace the circuit board for the induction part ---$950! Friend with Miele Induction has had no problem in 12 years. It was suggested by a friend that the heat of the gas burner will affect the circuit board. The repairman who finally fixed it agreed. Service is very poor. It took 5 weeks to get the part to fix it.
Within a couple of years all the decals for the knobs had worn off.
Next time we shall but the gas burner and induction separately and keep them separate.
Good idea but alas does not work. Maybe why this is the only one on the market.
Impractical design and poorly made.

Bought this for the wok burner. Didnt want to clean many gas parts thus went for the induction combo. Often I boil the soups on induction on yhr highest power to get the water boiling and then switch it back to gas for simmering. Impressive that the pictures on the knob havent fade yet despite wiping them for a year now.
Worth the price tag. Strong flamd in wok burner
Questions & Answers
Our cooktop clicks continually, is there somebody who knows how to fix it first go. It is 15 years old so I do not want to pay for somebody to attempt to fix it multiple times, we are both retired now. It has been terrific until now as I would expect because of the limited number of working parts. Our unit has 3 gas burners. Regards Rod
