Why is my remote not working ?Have replaced batteries in both remotes and had a new battery installed in the car ! All worked well for a while now remote won't work and can't start the car! Alarm keeps going off! Help please!

I have a VF Series 2 SV6 Wagon. The tailgate closes and pulls in tight as it should but it wont lock. the doors can be either open or locked, and the tailgate will still open when the button on the tailgate is pressed.
any ideas please?

I put fuel in my car tighten the cap then took off yes wheel spin in wet then a loud pop through the exchust pipe then engine light came on why ?? Are timing chains still an issue in the sv6 my17 series 2 sedans? As mine arrives next week. It has only done 34,000 km. And how much do they cost currently to repair if need be?

Occasionally If I do a long trip on a hot day the fuel gauge stops working. The next day after a trip the fuel gauge works normally.
