Where do I even start

Hi Perry, I see that you've done all you can to try and fix the "crank and won't start" problem on your vx Commodore. As they say, It could mean your engine is having trouble producing a spark, getting fuel, or getting compression. They say most common causes are in the ignition (for example, a bad ignition coil) or fuel system (for example, a clogged fuel filter) or a mechanical fault ( for example, a leaking valve), or faulty components in other systems. best advice, get it checked with your trusted mechanic dealer.

The most overlooked thing in cars is cleaning the throttle body, why you even replaced crank angle sensor if its not throwing a code is anyones guess, im an automotive technician, i have come across that many dirty throttle bodys in this country with people having zero clue that they have to be cleaned at least once a year, and throttle bodys can cause a no start issue and continuos cranking with car seeming to want to start but does not, THROTTLE BODY PAL !

Call your Holden dealer. Quote them the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) from the lower left of the windscreen. The dealer will tell you what you've got.
Basically the S pak had steering wheel controls, Air Conditioning, power windows, lower (FE2) suspension, mag wheels (16 inch 5 spoke with wider low-profile tyres), body kit including rear spoiler (smaller than the SS spoiler), no high-level brake light in the rear window - there's an LED one in the spoiler), bigger diameter front stabiliser bar, two black plastic imitation vents in the front spoiler where there was fog lights on the SS, Special seat fabric with a stylised "S" on the base. a limited range of body colours (black, red, white, that horrible metallic yellow. There were some "Monaro" commemorative models produced, in the series one only. They were produced in the Monaro-only colours, metallic blue, metallic green, tiger mica and of course the Devil Yellow. There was only 6 cars of each colour produced. All S paks had body coloured door handles on the outside.

sounds like an immobiliser issue. try getting in the car, locking and unlocking with the key, then starting it.

Hi Lister. You said engine NOT running. Does it make the sound just when you turn the ignition on, then go away?
If so, its the idle air control motor opening the throttle ready for you to start it.
If not, possibly something loose allowing fuel pump pulsations to move the fuel hoses? Does it eventually stop? The fuel pump starts when you turn the ignition on the will stop unless you start the engine.

NO. You will see the the temp gauge rise rapidly & at the extreme point sound a warning beep. But the motor will not shut down until the engine is cooked/damaged. My advice is if you suspect a cooling issue get it looked at. You can do a simple check yourself, around the water pump, radiator hoses, radiator cap & the radiator itself as well as having to top up the overflow bottle regularly or a sweet type smell in the engine bay.

If this is for the vx commodore as stated above, then it can indicate a charging problem meaning you could have a faulty earth, the cabbie may not be earthed to the block properly or the alternator may be on its way out or not charging the battery at all. It could also mean the battery has dropped a cell. So I’d suggest getting it looked at by an auto electrician first and then if you need a mechanic they will refer you onto one

If you are technically minded, you can put the dashboard in diagnostic mode and read the charging voltage. Should be around 14.5 volts (max) on a car that's just been started.
Turn ignition off. Press an hold the mode and up buttons on the dash. Start the car and then release the buttons. The dash will beep and display You can use the up button (I think) to step through the diagnostics. They are pretty self-explanatory. One of the first display is the volts. To exit diagnostic mode switch off. There's some interesting stuff in there.

Check the pads, they might be no good as a brand even if they were not used much otherwise your rotors may need to be machined if no issues with the pads.

Before machining or anything else try this which has always worked for me;

1. make sure the slides on the calipers are greased up with never seize

2. use some brake squeal (glue type stuff in a red bottle), you apply it to the back of the pad and like said above, will stick the pads to the calipers.

There are so many possibilities ...

Firstly, check the spark plug leads & spark plugs.
Replace the fuel filter ... these are a good start ...

There could be other issues like coil packs, injectors etc

But hard to diagnose online ...

Air conditioning problems are best left to holden australia workshop or perhaps a reasonable auto electrician workshop may be able to help
