I have a 2009 ve ss and mine says to use red

Yes happened to me its a compressor problem, leaking gas & it turns off to save further damage you need to get it repaired. Do a google search & you will find its a common problem with the berlinas

sounds like a loose, or wet Connector Cable or fuse box to the ECU (Computer under the hood) i have the Red Earth Accessories cable not going to anything either, thats for Extra component hook up like CB, DVD etc, but the "ABS ECU " fault is common, and usually to a bad or overheated sensor, last time my "ABS ECU CHECK ENGINE, CHECK AIRBAG ALL FAULTS ON" was when i degreased my engine bay, same thing happened when i put LED lights on the car, and again happened when my back left wheel drive sensor failed, ... all those three occasions sent my Holden into a tizz and set off all errors......i now bought a Code Reader off Ebay to my phone and i can tell whats set it off, instead of trying to figure out what....or Taking it to holden to figure it out and charge me $200 bucks to tell me what fault it really is......i suggest grabbing an OBDII Code Reader for your car that hooks to ya phone luv, i always keep mine in the glovebox now incase something else happens. .....but i would say sounds like you have a crappy sensor somewhere thats setting off all errors.

Not the sort of thing I'd want to suggest an answer to without looking at the car.
Do you know a reputable Auto electrician? Best way would be to ask around the industry - maybe a local car mechanic would suggest who they take cars to for electrical problems. The check engine is your clue. A good elecrician can plug his diagnostic box into the car and it will tell him exactly what the problem is. But the "red earth accessories cable" is a worry. How did it get disconnected? And RED would not be an earth wire.. Get a sparky.

Don't know I went to boot day before and everything was normal next day open boot and found the red accessories cable appearing from no where and I don't know what it connects to

Hi Matt. That's a bit unspecific.
ALL lights? Parking and headlights? Do the brake lights work? What else doesn't work?
Does the interior light work?
The headlights are on a different circuit than the parking lights, so unless its something catastrophic, I would say some lights do work?
Maybe check the fuses? But give us some more details.

Hi Matt, if it's lights it is definitely an electrical problem, get it checked with an auto electrician or as mirrabucca mentioned maybe check the fuse or give some more details.

hello sorry i took so long yes the brake lights work and headlights work only when on full beam when on normal the headlights dont work

Really depends on the model. SV6? V8? Calais? You can get a really good series two maybe with still some factory warranty for that money.

obviously a short somewhere or a loose or broken wire take it to an auto electrician

2: I would start at the reversing lights. Anything damaged the tail light/reversing light area inside the boot? Maybe someone threw something into the boot and it damaged some wiring? You might have a shorted reversing light bulb (very uncommon).

overloaded devices connected to the Radio Head Unit, like Phone Contacts stored, Phone preferences, media playlists stored on the head unit, Presets and other options, the memory in the head unit is only like a few megs, can cause it to wig out, as the Headunit that controls the bluetooth is connected to the ECU (computer) others have experienced vehicles wrongly changing gears in transmittion, windows and dash mucking up and other sensors failing, all because of stored presets on the entertainment head unit, since they delete a few options, playlists, phone contacts, etc ...the errors stop happening,

Do you have a spare key? Tryy that.
If that doesn't work either the keys and the BCM (body control module) will have to be recoded. Its not a hard job and any GOOD auto electrician should be able to do it.

Depends on how mechanically minded you are.
Where exactly is the ticking comng from? Can you hear it from inside the car? Is it there all the time or does it come and go? I assume youu have a VY SS ( you say as). The LS1 does have a few problems that will cause a ticking sound. Maybe drop into a mechanic and ask. Get a few opinions.

Next time it dies check the dash & see if the little red padlock is flashing if it is the problem is the alarm/immobilizer is still active & hence why it starts then dies straight away its a PCM or BCM fault code. Lube mobile are useless take it to a proper auto electrician & get it fixed properly. common fault with commodores & lube mobile should have known that & NOT touched it

if lube mobile came up with theft detected then there is the answer, common sense would have told him. there is a problem with either the alarm/ immobilizer,the key or dirt on the sensors you need to take it to someone who knows what they are doing & get the correct BCM & PCM numbers you might have to replace the ecu& get another key programmed. try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then hook it back up sometimes its a quick fix just to get it started to take it and get it fixed.very common problem with early model commodores. I would say the lube mobile guy "fixed" it by disconnecting then reconnecting the battery & told you it was fixed & charged an arm & leg thats explains why it was fine for 2 days. You need to take it to someone who specializes in alarms/immobilizers

Light switch is burned out. It will be melted inside allowing the battery to be connected directly to the lights. Either replace it yourself, or go to a friendly auto electrician. Tell them what you did so they can go straight to the problem.

Do you figure it out yet I have the same thing

it's air filter box open and cleen or fuel cap ???? fixed my one
