The move was simple - two bedroom to large studio - no issues with previous Holloway team, or any other removalist, ever. This one was a nightmare from start to finish! [Name Removed], the older guy, was rude and obnoxious and seemed to be under the impression he could change my arrangements with the company. He argued with me, took no notice of me when I told him something could be done differently, eg, my dining table is two pieces but wouldn't dismantle it, then couldn't get it through my balcony door at the new address (I wonder why?). My $2500 bed was broken
One of the manager acknowledged it was broken, took a picture of the item and told us to contact the very troubled [Name Removed].
It’s been douzen of emails and lies from this company and of course they won’t offer any type help.
From day 1 to now (3 months later) it’s been nothing but a headache

Do not waste your money there

TERRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Damaged fridge completely, acknowledged it was damaged and did not offer reparation
Came hours late with wrong sized removal truck
Charged us for their own delays
Tried getting us to sign a non-disclosure agreement to prevent putting up negative reviews online however they breached their side of the contract first

I can’t express how disappointed we were after the longest moving day we have ever had.
Despite great communication in the lead up and promising three people for the job, only two of the Holloway team showed up on moving day, one of whom had very little experience.
What resulted was a nine-hour disaster for a relatively simple two-bedroom house move within the same suburb. After we challenged the bill at the end of the day, we have stopped receiving any communication from the Holloway team.

Don’t even know where to start.
Booked this company between 8-9am.
9.40am passes, no call from anyone. Called the company, said they will call the driver and call me back to let me know what’s going on. Didn’t receive a call back.
Driver eventually called said they were 40 minutes away. 1 hour passes, still nothing. Rang the company they don’t know what’s going on but will call me back. Didn’t call back.
I called the driver and asked where they were he was and he hadn’t left but will be on their way soon.

Really disappointing. As nice as they movers were they were slow so the cost blew out. Two pieces of furniture ruined with the tape they used and absolutely no response to my email or call. Not even an apology let alone an offer of compensation. I sent a follow up email to [Name Removed] and a left a message with his staff and they’ve been ignored. I would never recommended this company. One of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had with a business in a long time.

3 hours late, truck half the sized promised necessitating multiple trips, left fridge behind, agreed to collect the following day, and then charged me another move for the fridge they left behind. Refused to refund me. Keep CC details and are able to charge you after your move without consent.
A truly terrible experience

Their people said that I must get 4 people because of my piano and stairs in the building. Eventually, when their people came, the 4 people failed to move the piano AT ALL. Then the leader within the 4people complained that I hired too many people for the move, making them slow. (we actually have 2 stairs in the building.)

Then they blackmailed me to pay whatever bill they wanted, or otherwise hold my items.

Sorry, you only compensated me for broken items, not compensated me for the above.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a Removalist. Please do not use.

They were very expensive promising a “premium” service. I paid for a pre pack service followed the next day by a truck with 3 men.

Firstly they forgot about the pre pack. I had to call a number of times. After apologizing some packers turned up and had to work late into the night. The packers ran out of boxes so I ended up packing myself.

The next day the Removalist’s turned up with only 2 men when I had paid for 3. As a result the move which was 200m down...

Worst storage company ever. Do not use them at any cost - the owner of the business does not give a care about the complaints

Due to their non communication - we have lost $900 out of our pocket.
Unreliable.
Not recommended to anyone.

We wanted to move our 1 bedroom worth of stuff to storage. They promised us to get the job done between 12.00 pm to 4.00 pm. They didn’t show up

We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment, one bedroom was completely empty, and we had already moved 1/3 of our things ourselves. The move still took 3.5 hours, I felt the removalists were going slowly and carrying less than they could have with each trip. My fridge was also damaged during the move, there was a dent and lots of small orange scratches that looked like rust stains splashed up the side. I used stainless steel cleaner to clean it as best I could, which caused the brushed silver to go very dull. I emailed Holloway removals and they asked...

They trick you to leave good review and never respond when things go wrong! Dodgy and irresponsible business.

Our 1-bedroom apartment furnitures pickup was smooth with excellent communication, card authorisation is required for direct debit. But then they auto-charged an extra fee for the dropoff and when we asked them to clarify what the charge is for, they gave you radio silence! Dodgy company fakes the good impression and tricks you to leave good review, then they just walk away. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews!

Following the death of my mother I moved her goods into storage with Holloway. While still charging me they decided to sell everything I was storing with them, and then had the nerve to continue charging me for another 18 months before I found out what they had done. They are now taking no responsibility and not even offering refunds. These people are thieves in the worst possible way. Do not trust them. They steal from you

I am the owner of Mayvn Interiors. We design and import furniture. We trusted Holloway Storage and Removals as our warehousing and logistics partner after they approached us at the Decor + Design tradeshow and promised us the world in storage and logistics.

How wrong we were to fall for their sales pitch and shiny new trucks.

Avoid at all costs.

I class Holloways as the most negligent, dis-honest and incompetent company I have ever dealt with and I've worked in this space for 15 + years.
