Bought from Bunnings before start of last seasons Tomatoes in Greenhouse. Saved my bacon. Now in use for its second session - (repaced battery even though it still showed full). Running without a problem. Once you get the various settings right, you can go away with peace of mind.Found these adverse reviews whilst tryin to purchase another unit to water the rest of my garden during the Christmas break. Will keep my fingers crossed. Cheers.

Worked fine for one summer of watering, now only works about 20% of the time. Most times when it comes on (either manually or via schedule) the display indicates that it's on but no water flows. Started happening intermittently but now happens all the time. Have changed out batteries to no avail.

Bought first unit from Bunnings. Zone 4 solenoid not functional. Returned and swapped with a second unit. Zones 1 and 2 not working! Very frustrating. Wish I'd seen this website first. Looks like it is hard to find a decent 4 zone programmable tap timer that actually works.

Bought from Bunnings worked great for two weeks. Then solenoids failed in 2,3, and 4 so I could only use the first line. I wished I’d seen this website before I purchased this and saved my time and money.

We have now got three of these things. They work on occasions most of the time they are useless attachments on the tap that waist more time fiddling with then it would take to hand water. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I have now had a gardener, a landscaper and a handyman all attempt to get this completely useless instrument working. When I add up my time invested and theirs, it demonstrates what a poor choice I made. Do not waste your money or time!

I want to like this product because it is simple, light, easy to install and program and comes with a 2 year warranty. For the short time it is fully working, it's good. However, the reality is that like all the other reviews you'll find of this product, zones stop working for no apparent reason, meaning that some watering cycles may not start and manual watering won't work for those zones. I saw zones operating if they started due to a scheduled watering cycle, but moments later they wouldn't start if you set the zone to manually on. Sometimes...
Read more zones would only work if manually started. The display will tell you the zone is on and water is flowing, and you'll hear the solenoid click, but no water will flow. Sometimes turning the tap off and turning the tap back on at the exact moment the solenoid clicks worked--sometimes it didn't help. I had these problems fairly soon after purchasing the product and after fiddling around with it, I finally managed to get it in a state where water was flowing on the programmed schedules for about 2 months. Then 3 of the 4 zones just stopped working altogether and no amount of fiddling around could get them working again. Returned for a full refund so I could buy a reliable alternative.Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $164.

Like all the other poor reviews, says it is watering in either auto or manual but no water comes out. We had it set while we were away and came back to carnage.
Avoid or at least keep your receipt, you'll be returning it within 3 months.

Product worked perfectly, then showed signs of poor power supply. Changed batteries, same problem. Put a thin cardboard packer in battery compartment to improve contact, end of problem. Such a brilliant design, other than poor connection.

This product does not deserve 1 Star.
Like most people it says it’s watering but nothing happens. Bought it today and immediately failed, never worked, replaced 3 hours after the original purchase and the second unit worked once and then nothing.
This is beyond a joke considering it is not a cheap timer.

I bought this to water a property I own in the country that I do not live at . Like the other reviews, the valves to not switch on even though the screen shows water is on. This is both on manual and auto . So disappointed when you see your garden dying because this thing does not come on. I’m astounded that this is a known issue for a few years now and it is being still made and sold . What a waste for such an expensive timer

This is garbage. Purchased both th 200 and 400 series. 200 has been swapped out once and now have the same problem with the 400. It doesnt water even though it indicates it is. Also zone 3 manual operation doesnt work on its own.

Questions & Answers
My Holman Water Whiz 400 now seems to reset itself when I try and use it in manual mode?
Added to this, one of the zones is continually leaking a bit all the time.....
Any one out there able to assist me?
Thanks.
Hi Karl, your timer may need a clean. take it from the tap and sit a mixture of vinegar/water or a CLR solution in the timer for 5 mins. Back on the tap to flush after. Hopefully this will help with the issues. Thank you, your Holman Team!
I have a Holman 400 Water Wizz which I purchased about 2 years ago pre pandemic. It operated well for the first six months watering twice per day over 4 different zones. I turned it off over the last winter due to rain watering the plants. I have attempted to restart the unit today, replacing the 4 batteries with new batteries. I reset the units programming and reinput the program to operate 4 zones twice per day. It operates on zone 1 and does not switch to zones 2, 3 and 4. I am aware it is out of warranty, but I think 6 months operation before failing is worthy of replacement or money back. I bought the unit in good faith believing that Holman made good products. Please advise me what to do to rectify the situation.

Welcome to this crappy unit same as ours only lasted 12 months, we want to support Australian products but this is rubbish
Hi, I have had my water whiz 400 for about a year now.
In the last 2 weeks it's stopped working firstly on Zone 1 & 2, now all 4 zones.
At first it would open amd work manual, but that now has stopped.
I have replaced batteries, rechecked connections and reset the device by holding down the OK button.
Can you provide any other advice please??
Thanks, Justin.
It's a dud worst product we have ever bought ours pretty much did the same we threw it out and will not buy another Holman product again
