Excellent alternative to a Dyson

published

Performance & suction is excellent. Battery life is excellent. Use with a power head and it does a terrific job. Well worth the money and as good if not better than the v6 Dyson. The always on power is really handy too, no need to keep pressing the trigger. Clean power head & canister after each use. A1 product,

Love it for small mess

published

Suction isn't the best but it's super lightweight & very easy to use. Battery lasts for about 10-15mins but that's enough for a quick clean. I only use it to clean up little messes the kids have made throughout the day but I use my normal sized Hoover Vacuum to clean the house properly. I use it on tiles & carpet & couches for crumbs really. I'd only recommend it as a second vacuum to clean small stuff because the suction isn't strong.

Fabulous. Cannot fault it.

published

I use this every week at my elderly mother's home as she struggles to do the housework for herself. It is way better than the the vax stick vacuum i have for my home. Easy to use, great suction on all floors, nice and light and balanced in the hand.. Easy to empty. My mother will sometimes use it too as she finds it easy to maneuver. Bought this for her when Godfreys was having a half price sale so only cost $149. Wish i had bought one for my home too.

Great for dog hair and stairs

published

I like to use new products for awhile b4 l comment. Had this a few months now and can't fault it. I have 3 Chihuahuas, 2 with long hair, they are always dropping hair. I have a dark brown rug which usually gets covered in dog hair and this stick vac takes the hair off with ease. Great on stairs, no more lugging the big vac up and down stairs. Paid $99. from Godfreys. It needs cleaning after every vac and l use a thin bottle brush to clean where l can't reach. I've read that the battery life isn't long, but l don't have that problem yet.

Perfect, I use it everyday!

published

I was wanting a Dyson Cordless handheld vacuum cleaner but could not afford it at $699.00. I went to Godfreys and spotted this Hoover Ultra Light Hand Held Vacuum stick. I tried it out in the shop and could not believe how well it works. I use mine daily for small job and use my Dyson big Vacuum once a fortnight. The battery charge lasts for about half an hour which is plenty of time to do a quick clean. I can highly recommend this Vacuum for everyday use at a small cost of only $149.00.

Is it safe to leave the Hoover 5221 vacuum on charge after the light has turned green?

Hi Marion,
Yes, the machine can be left on charge, however, we do recommend to make sure the machine is run completely flat before recharging every now and then and if the machine is going to be unused for an extended period of time to turn the power point off or unplug the machine.

Having issues with dirt being picked up by the vacuum but then not being sucked up into the drum and when the vacuum isn’t running it just falls out the end again. Really frustrating and just cleaned the head too so that can’t be the issue. What could be the issue?

I have the exact same problem! So frustrating

Hi Emily,
This is usually caused by a blockage in the head, rod, machine or filter.
We would recommend to check and clean these areas, the filter may also be due for replacement, it is recommended to have the filter replaced every 6-12 month depending on use.
If you are still experiencing issues we would recommend taking the machine into your nearest Godfreys store for further inspection.

Hi,
I would recommend taking the machine, and proof of purchase, to your nearest Godfreys store to be booked in for further inspection under warranty, just to make sue there are no underlying issues.
