Do not waste your money
HP 245 G7 is very slow. It's so slow it's frustrating to use. Also, as far as I can find out, it's not possible to upgrade the RAM. Just don't buy it.

If this was a car, I would call it a Lemon
I bought this laptop to replace an old PC with XP of my Father in law, what a mistake!!!
it has been the worst experience of our life, it is so under powered to run W10, the 8gyg of RAM I thought would be ok just for Browing internet and emails but not the case, just not workable
I bought it for my 81 yo senior, it has caused me to be calling into his home every week trouble shooting for what in essence is that the laptop is just so slow for Startup, open Facebook and even to have a continuous chat on messenger ( let alone using Skype), lucky he does not use any office programs,it is only just coping with email browsing.
the worst purchase of my life. I cannot recommend this to anyone.

Very underpowered to run windows 10
The reviews I have seen on other web sites are actually good. I am being honest when I say this notebook is garbage, and this is why - When playing movies from Netflix the screen tears and is choppy/laggy, scrolling web pages is slow and choppy, youtube lags and is choppy, this notebook is VERY slow to load (read/write to hard drive), slow boot, overall very slow, it is way underpowered to run windows 10. It feels cheap and nasty to the touch, feels flimsy, just typing this text now there is a second delay :). The only thing this notebook would...Read more
be good for is typing text in notepad or something like that but even then that is slow... I can not state it enough! This notebook does not have enough juice to run windows 10. Maybe install a lite Linux distro and use this notebook as an mp3 player, that is all I can think it would be useful for, just hook it up to your receiver or headphones and play some ac dc. I have purchased cheap 10 year old laptops on ebay with the old Celeron 775 cpu that way out perform this. I really can not think of one good thing to say about this notebook. Very disappointed HP.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
