Purchased on 06/01/2020 from Big W couldn't load the paper into printer as I couldn't move the guide to take A4 paper tried for 30 minutes. Cheap but nasty. Got what I paid for I guess. Wouldn't recommend the printer anyone. Why do Big W keep selling the junk.

Purchased in January 2021 at Big W Retail Stores for $39.00.

Not bad for the price, good so far :)

published

Not a bad printer for the budget price. I didn't want a printer with wireless technology etc, so perfect for me. Bought for $32 from officeworks. Is a bit clunky sounding when printing but prints well so far. Colour good etc. Scanner works well too, no problems there. I've bought XL cartridges from eBay so I don't get caught out with running out of ink. One annoying thing about printer is you need to feed paper back in if you want to print on both sides! Ok for a couple of pages, but a giant pain if you had heaps to print...

Save your money

Never really worked properly, and the software supplied was so limited and hard to use that it was nearly useless. As soon as one of the cartridges got low it basically refused to print anything. Results were good enough for the first 20 pages or so, after that they became smudged and some colors did not print properly. Had a big problem taking in blank paper (good quality printing paper used), repeatedly failing to pull a sheet down, then announcing that it was out of paper. Mine is now at the dump and I paid a little more and got a Cannon.

Purchased in March 2021 at Big W for $39.00.

Would not connect

published

Cheap, but you soon find out why. It is not wireless which I found a bit misleading on the packaging, but that is my fault. After some 60 minutes of trying to connect it to my computer via thew USB I gave up and gave it to a friend who will likely use it as an anchor. So as to its functionality, who knows. Spend a bit more don't waste you time.

Couldn't even get it connected

published

After 15 hours of trying everything in the book it would not connect to the PC. Returned it the next day.
Worst experience in getting hardware connected I have ever had.

cheap and works

published

For $15 at Officeworks, you can't complain. It prints, scans and copies. No wifi but it was simple to set up. Works well if you want it as a back up printer. It is so cheap that there is no point buying ink, just buy a new printer. Printing speed is not too bad and the print quality is just fine.

Rubbish. Cartridges run out very quickly then they charge a fortune for replacements.

published

Instructions were very poor. Help line useless. Disc supplied is for a different model. It was good printing whilst the ink lasted. To get it to scan I had to go into the help icon. A very basic printer where the cartridges cost more than the printer itself. Lesson learnt you get what you pay for.

Value for money

I bought this printer a month ago to replace my previous printer of 10 years. It is brilliant for everyday use. It can print scan and copy. What more could you ask for from a $20 printer. Faster than my old hp as well. If it printed cds and DVDs it would be the perfect printer.

A good value buy

published

I purchased this printer on a bargain and I am quite satisfied with the discount price that I got. The print quality is great for mono prints whereas the color prints feel a little light that what I am used with the other color printers. But the color prints are still good. The time taken to print is also really good. But just like with every printer of this technology, the price of the refills are higher than the printer. I think that once I finish all the mono and color ink, I will send it to recycling and look into purchasing a new one again.

Good cheap printer

published

This is a good cheap usb hard wired no frills printer, scanner and copier.
It has all the windows software in the box, but It also works great with the Ubuntu (linux) operating system and automatically installs the firmware for the printer on installation, then you can installing a scanner app from the Ubuntu app store.
Cartridges are reasonably priced.
