Tops. I'm very happy. I've been all over Fraser Island with it, and the only
problem was what every other ordinary 4x4 had... the sand ridges between the
wheels scraped the belly. This huge sand build up was from Tour Trucks just
churning up the tracks with no regard for any other tourists.
Love the Auto. Gets you through with eaze.
A little more clearance would be good

Still have the Tuscon elite '07,has been a great car thus far, doing all my own services, except plugs, a hard one to get to.i mentioned the engine was too small for the car,but I was mistaken as it is perfect. Not even an oil leak, and I don't always drive like a nanna.Using 95 octane fuel(not 98)as seems to rich.Car looks better now than when I bought it.Look after something and it will treat you right.142,000km now,oil filter change every 5000km,synthetic oil every 10,000km.Services so easy for mechanically minded.Didnt bother with expensive AHG...Read more
services in the end(oil/filter change took about 25mins all up) Reliable,no non starts or break downs, fuel economy is fine(lot of whinging on this front-don't know why) Nothing really except interior plastic scratches easily.

Cheap to buy, expensive to own
I actually owned 2 Hyundai Tucsons 2.7l V6 models because my wife liked the tall stance and the spacious interiors. The cars are just ok to drive, with stodgy steering. I gave up my 1st Tucson when the mileage was getting way too high and the dealer was taking advantage of me by replacing just about every part they can think of. So much for the 5 year warranty. At the rate they were going, there's no need for a warranty because I they would have replaced my entire car's mechanicals over 5 years!
Cheap to buy, hgh seating position, looks the part of a 4WD
Expensive to own and maintain, high fuel consumption, returning 12L/100km

Brilliant longevity
Have owned Elite for 14 years and done 230,000 kms with no mechanical issues other than the above mentioned radio and some new disk rotors at 90,000km and 150,000km. I think Hyundai have got quality at an affordable price well and truly nailed!
Incredibly comfortable on long trips, great quality finish at low price and a delight to drive. Excellent visibility and sunroof in Elite is an added bonus. Very inexpensive to service and after warranty can be maintained by any reasonable servo mechanic. Handles "off road" well provided it is not to...Read more

Great all-rounder
Bought elite 07 2.7lt(91000kms)saved$$ as timing belt done($19000).Goes well, use 98 Octane this makes a difference especially around town.Experience all good so far,no faults, nothing wrong.Where you buy always makes a diff(bought at Hyundai dealer-every service done/up-to-date all docs.
Good solid stance on road, still under new car warranty, high ride position, great inside well laid out, enough room for driver(I am 6'4").Sunroof great to let hot air out on stinker day, compact yet roomy, great safety features.

Excellent value SUV
Compared to many other vehicles in the same range the Tucson (as with many other Hyundai models) has excellent features which are optional extras on many other makes. My 2009 elite model has lower clearance than my previous Tucson, smaller fuel tank and less storage options but the leather seats, Bluetooth and sun roof are great features. In the three years I've had it the vehicle has been extremely good mechanically.
Reliable, excellent features for the price
the ground clearance gets lower with each new model

My husband doesnt like only cause motor not big enough.(Thats why it is my car not his) I only do city driving so thats why it is perfect. Service department excellent at hyundai. I love that i dont have to break my back to put the kids seat belts on. I love my car. I might not buy another one only cause my kids are getting bigger and i need more room. I also am not scared to go into a large shopping centre car park with my car. Like all the other large 4wds.
Hyundai City - Great for me to drive. Only $50.00 per week petrol.
Boot not big enough.

I wouldnt buy again but in saying that I do enjoy driving it but sometimes the lack of power & larger size to duck to shops annoys me
Its got plenty of room in boot. Is attractive looking & is quite nice to drive. Still compact for a larger car
The middle seat belt in the back comes accross from the boot and is not a lap belt so I would be concerned about using it all the time if I had 3 kids. ( we only have 2) Its only 2 Litre so doesnt have much power

There is heaps and heaps of room in this car. Whether its in the boot, back seats or riding in the front. (anyone got an elephant? I'll show you) I've had (large) adults in every seat and its fine. there is space next to you, leg room and head room. I love how folding the back seats down is so easy and is done in seats. it again creates so much room and the seats actually lie flat. YES! and Thank you. I also like that you can fold down just one seat if you need to.

isn't. In fact I'm sure i'd have issues getting over a curb if I was every brave enough to try. Ok so maybe not that bad but make sure its a small curb. I'd recommend this car to someone with a family, whether thats a young or older family. People with dogs will love this car and boot capabilities. A nice to drive, easy to take care off, smallish car. so much boot room. affordable. no controls for the radio in the wheel :(Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great purchase, nothing dissapoints at all.
We had a choice, same price, $19000 for a brand new Greatwall X240 or the Tuscan with low kms. The X240 was just too big.
Tucson V6 elite my06 upgrade,2006-2007 plated, Pretty darn good buy, Not too big but compact SUV, roomy, easy to park, can see the four corners of the car from the drivers seat with a little moving ur head around, easy to navigate around obstacles poles etc where you need to know where the front corners of the car are. Easy to see the sides and end points of the car as well. Look...Read more

Sound car, wouldn't reccommend it though
We did enjoy the height of the car, being able to see over traffic is a plus.
We found that we had to put in 98 Octane fuel or the engine would ping at times. Spoke to the dealers who blamed the fuel, and there solution was to only put 98 octane in it. That was annoying as it was brand new and you can't get that fuel everywhere.
Handles fairly poorly (body roll), and it feels as though the car is too big for the engine.
Like the look of them though and did enjoy the car for awhile. It is a good feature the way the boot opens, just glass or entire boot.
Way too thirsty on the fuel.
Owned if for a couple of years and never had any other problems.
Reliable
Needed 98 Octane fuel or it would ping.

Terrible
Don’t get me wrong here, I love Hyundai, but I feel the Tuscon was the last of the poor quality Hyundai models that are on the road, you cannot compare the new ix35 that replaced the Tuscon this year (2010) the Tuscon has yards of cheap black plastic, the 4cyl is gutless and slow, the V6 is thirst and still not faster than the 4cyl. I urge you not to buy a Tuscon but ask your bank manager for a loan and go for the ix35 you will thank me no end for this advice, or go for a 2nd hand Outlander which are pretty cheap and well stocked for features

We love our tucson after 3 years we haven't had a problem at all. It's a good size car but not so large as to inhibit parking or to have problems with lower old style carparks.
It's a great size, fits the four of us and all our junk easily. The boot will also fit two kids size bikes which is very handy. Also set up to add on roof racks which is an added bonus. The price is very reasonable too for a car of this type.
Fuel economy isn't great, but keep in mind it is a larger car.

I researched all vehicle makers in the SUV category for 5 months prior to purchasing the Tucson City. No-one comes close. Hyundai also came third in the American JD Power & Associates - Initial Quality Study 2006, behind Porsche & Lexus. Standard equipment such as allo wheels on five tyres; immobiliser; alarm; fog lights; keyless entry; dual airbag; AND all for much, much less than the other car makers. They just can't compete.
Value for money; optional equipment on other brands in same category, are standard in the Tucson City; economy; 4WD look but with city engine.
Nothing at all. Things that the experts whinge about are trivial to the everyday driver.

I have had my Tucson for 2 years and just clocked up 30000ks. I have not had one problem with the car. Servicing charges are very reasonable. Good fuel economy. I downgraded from a Honda Odyssey Luxury people mover & thought I would regret it but I haven't regretted the decision. It is so easy to park, the boot takes 8-10 green shopping bags. Radio has good quality sound.
Size, Good visibility, Comfortable seats, Good size boot, Handles well
Would like to have steering wheel controls for the radio

This is a great little 'not quite a 4WD' for anyone who wants the feel of a big car that's easy and fun to drive, cheap to run and inexpensive to buy. I love it!
Very quiet, comfortable and easy to drive. Big enough for all my needs but small enough to nip around town easily. Good fuel consumption, sits well on the road, great visibility and many safety features are standard.eg. ESP, traction control. Like having Bluetooth and being able to plug my iPod in. Great storage compartments all through the car and reconfiguring the seat positions is so easy.
Haven't found anything yet!

Bought it in 2007, had a good deal with the dealer, they throw free tinted windows and car parking sensor on top of the already cheaper price. Overall, this is the best convenient car for multi purposes if you driving around city or highway plus it will guarantee you won't get any speeding fine/camera due to the slow pick up
Excellent car, value for money,SUV environment with spacious room, economical, smooth steering wheels, easy to drive
Thin body like tin can, someone had vandalised my bonnet and has a small dent which very costly to repair, WARNING FOR MANUAL USERS - the gear its rough, and this car could not climb up hill due to the lack of the 4WD

Even though there are a lot of negatives i have mentioned my wife and i still like the car.
Its a good shopping trolley around town.
You have to remember how cheap the car is when comparing to other makes and models.
Lots of extras (power windows, mirrors, auto, air, cruise, ABS, alloy wheels, traction control)
Front wheel drive only.
Rear window in the tailgate opens separately.
Good car for the money.
Good vision generally.

I have a 2004 Hyundai Tucson 2.7 V6, over 200,000km on Speedo, it uses about 20.4 lt/100, not sure what to do. Can anyone help.

Time to trade up. V6 will always use more fuel especially with those kms.
Has it been serviced regularly? Timing belt changed?

How many liters of engine oil needs for 2.7 v6 hyundai tucson 2007 model?
2 answers
Wouldn't have a clue. I gave it serviced every 6 months. Great car.
Just under 5 litres.I do all fluid changes on car and if I leave a around 250-300ml in bottom of bottle it will be at correct level, with enough oil to do a filter change in between oil changes. You will lose this amount only when changing filter and can pour the rest of he bottle into the filter and spin back on.
