Hello, I'm considering buying Maui Jim sunglasses and have read that all your products are authentic, so that's great! Will Maui Jim also provide warranty and repair service for sunglasses bought through iframes, or do you provide this yourselves? Asked in a different way, will Maui Jim honour warranty for sunglasses bought through iframes?

Hi Mark, Maui Jim should honour the warranty which is a 2 year warranty however, if for any reason you have any issues we also cover the warranty so you are protected either way. Thanks for your question, Jacky.

No! Maui Jim Australia advised in writing when I asked this question that they do not recognize I frames or Vision Direct as authorized distributors (possibly because they by pass Maui Jim Australia fees and import direct to reduce the selling price) so they are not covered under the same local warranty which include free repairs and replacement arms / nose pads etc but will repair their imports and charge a fee, There is no 2 year warranty available except for glasses purchased with a receipt from authorized distributors listed on the Maui Jim Australia web site. Personally I think I Frames have a great price for authentic glasses and I plan to buy from them in the future, however like my grey import Samsung mobile I cover my own insurance on low value items, just need to be extra careful.

Maeveasked

Hi
I am looking for a replacement for my favourite Rayban Folding Wafarer 4105 - 710 - size 50-22-140 which I lost overboard on a boat. In your website it calls them light Havana crystal brown lens. I am a little confused about the word "light" as this is not mentioned on other websites. Does that mean that the lens are lighter than normal? Are there different lenses of the same model? The model number seems to be the same as other glasses .

Also can you tell me whether these Raybans are made in Italy or Asia? I received these as a present from Europe so guessing the originals came from Italy.

On some websites these are called men's sunglasses, but on others women's even with the same size. I am female with average size face. So presuming if I choose the 50-22-140 it should be right for a female.

can you verify if I can return these if the size is not correct.?
regards
Maeve

iframes i.iframes

Hi Maeve, you should go by the code which in this case is RB4105 710 size 50-22-140. Some websites have slight variations of the description but if the code is the one you are looking for then you will get what you are after.

Ray Ban produces their frames in factories in Italy as well as Asia and where the stock is made is beyond our control unfortunately. Regardless of the country of manufacture, all frames are made to the same high standards.

You have 100 days from purchase to return your frames as long as they are in original condition.

Thanks
Mike

Hi there. I am after a very good pair of polorized sunglasses. I play Lawn Bowls and Tennis in very bright sunshine so need top protection for my eyes. I like the Maui Jims Banyans, Hokipa and Oakley half jacket or similar. Maybe I need half frames for sturdiness? Please recommend a couple of choices before i send my order in. I dont mind paying for the best quality lenses and frames. cheers Tom.

Hi Tom, the frames you suggested would all be good options. Both Maui Jim and Oakley make great polarised lenses. Maui Jim are amongst our top selling brands for polarised lenses so if you have a pair of those in mind that suit and are comfortable then I would recommend going with one of them. Thanks, Sam.

I want to buy those Ray Ban RB3016 W0365 CLUBMASTER sunglasses.
But why the "Made in Italy" on the side of the sunglasses in the pictures are covered?
Are these glasses literarlly made in Italy? I'm concerned.

iframes i.iframes

Hi Ariel thanks for your question. While many Ray Ban frames are still made in Italy, some are being produced in Luxottica's factories in Asia. It is still being produced to the same high quality standards and is still made by Luxottica. Unfortunately there is no control over whether we get models from Italy or Asia and it is often a mixed bag. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee it will come from Italy but again the quality is the same which ever factory it comes from. Thanks, Lucy.

Hi Tom, Porsche Design 8556A comes with polarised green lenses and these frames are made in Italy. Yes, it has a titanium frame and the smallest size is 61mm. Once you place the order it takes 1 - 2 business days for delivery within Australia (regional areas may be a little longer). Thanks, Sam

Tom

I received the Porsche design glasses and the frame has "Made in Japan" written on the arm of the product. This is not what you stated and therefore I demand a full refund of the product or an exchange for a pair that is truly made in Italy, if that exists.

Is this case happen to anyone before? Please advise. I send them an email regarding that matter but didn't get any respond nor they answer their customer call.

It took a few days for my invoice to be emailed through. I think 3 - 5 business days? With calling them try the new sales option. The money you'll save on glasses will be well worth it

Am looking at the sunnies Ray Ban 2140 902 58

The ones I have seen in the shop have additional numbers, are they the same sunglasses? The numbers on the ones I would like are below. Can you confirm the numbers on the inside of your sunglasses are the same?

Thanks

My sunnies are in black so the model number is Ray Ban 2140 901 50_22. The 902 seems to be the tortoise version of this. And the 58 is the width of the lens in mm.

iframes
iframes i.iframes

Hi there, yes the correct model number is 2140 902/58 (50mm lens size and 22mm bridge size). Some stores add their own numbers as well but this number is the original Ray Ban number and matches our frames. Thanks, Alex, iframes support
