This type of device has been around for many years. Why do you people
keep resurrecting it when you know they are basically useless in a hot room and no different than a fan spraying fine water. They use this principle to spray fwater on crowds in the open air but not inside please.

The back panel is easy and just pull to remove. It may have a small screw that you will have to remove first.

The cool button flashes for a few seconds when turned on then switches off
Hello Anne S, I found that the cool button flashed and then went off when there wasn't enough water. I was so dissatisfied with the product due to false advertising . I also found it to be very noisy. Hopes this helps.
The pump on mine stopped working after a year the cool button constantly flashed so flashing lights to me mean faulty something

The cool button flashes under 3 instances.
1. When the water level is too low.
2. If water level is more than recommended.
3. If the water pipe has blockage that is restricting the flow of water.
Please check the internal for any of these 3 instances. If all the above is fine and motor is not pumping, please send us an email at [email protected].

Are they noisy
Do I need to leave a door or window open during operation? If so, why?
Because its an evaporative cooler. Whereas a conventional aircon system will have a unit outside to dump heat, this works by evaporating the water you add to it. If the rooms shut it'll increase the humidity in the room which will reduce its cooling effectiveness, and if closed up long enough it would actually just heat the room and make it damp. Leaving an open window or door gives some natural circulation which should stop the humidity getting too high. If you live in a place with very humid summers, you dont want an evaporative cooler. You're only option really is a conventional aircon system.
