For additional cooling, we highly recommend putting ice in the water tray and using cold water as well. The Instachill also works best in a well ventilated area so you get fresh air all the time. You may keep your door and windows open when using the Instachill.

Also, the InstaChill will work in all areas but the degree of cooling you get depends on the humidity level at the time. Generally speaking an evaporative cooler stops providing a cooling change when humidity is 85% or above. The Humidity level changes during the day with the humidity level decreasing as the temperature increases.

Instachill comes with a Humidity Control function which is an important feature because evaporative coolers are not effective above 85% relative humidity. This feature automatically stops adding moisture to the air when it detects this level in the room and will turn the Cool function back on when the room humidity drops to 70%.
