Shark tooth pan bubbling

published

Have had our shark tooth pan for less than a year. It doesn't get used all that often (much to my husbands disappointment because that means not many steak nights!) anyway we have noticed what we thought was a small bubble in the coating. Thought not to worry it's only little since then after each use there are more and more bubbles so we of course can no longer use it. Very disappointing for such an expensive pan

Great so far

published

I have had these pots and pans for 6 months now. I have purchased several brands and all have been awful. The coating has come off all of them. These ones are great. Nothing sticks to them. If you get them on sale its worth it. I would not pay $600 for the set.

Frypan useless

published

I have the Jamie Oliver set and unfortunately the 30cm frypan is almost useless. Everything is sticking to it and it is turning black. I just had a look to see how much to replace it and was quite shocked. I always look after my pans and don't use them too often, mostly because I'll give myself food poisoning, so I gave it a 1 star rating because for a product that expensive it should last a lot longer than 3 years... If there was a no star rating I would have picked it. Will replace it with a cheap one.

$200 for a frypan that fails.

published

I bought this 23 cm frypan as I was happy with the rectangular griddle ... unfortunately it doesn't stack up to a lot of use. After 12 months it became a "bit" non non-stick, then deteriorated rapidly. The surface has gone black and even poached eggs stick to the base under water. Just buy cheap ones every year from now on.

Don't not buy if you have Ceramic Cooktop!

published

I recently purchased this cookware thinking it would be alright for my ceramic cooktop as it states it is fine for ceramic ! Well it's not ! It has ruined my brand new oven! The product itself seems to be pretty good. I am just writing this review to let people know that it is not Suitable at all for ceramic cooktops even though it says it is! Would hate for something like this to happen to somebody else. Very disappointed. :(

Dangerous Tefal/Jamie oliver 4 pot set

published

I bought the 4 pot Jamie oliver Teflon coated set in Austria. I very badly burned my finger on the handles. The handles and lid handles heat up so drastically that it's dangerous cooking with them. I spilt the boilinng water every where but thank god didn't spill on my young daughter or myself. I contacted tefal who said I "should cook with gloves when using these pots " so shocking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The set cost Euro 300 which is not cheap. Tefal should recall these pots. I'lll never buy tefal again. And i'll be contacting Tefal again as I will not accept paying that much for a faulty and dangerous product. They have reacted so badly.

Non stick for a year

published

I have a full set of non stick Jamie Oliver pans purchased in Myers, the frypan became black and eggs and anything really, that I cook sticks to it. I've never put it in the dishwasher, I hand wash all my pots and pans in organic dish liquid, very disappointed for such an expensive product, i should have just stuck to buying a new cheap pan very year. My set is just 4 years old, all the pots are fine as I use them for wet dishes, but the frypan is useless.

I received a small Jamie oliver roasting pan for Christmas and on my second use it cracked .I am very sad because I support Jamie Oliver and was excited to use the pan often as it fits nicely in a toaster oven.

Mixed Feelings

published

I purchased a set of Jamie Oliver pans for Father's Day last year and they are very good pans while they work. I have treated the pans exactly same using the correct utensils and sadly the non-stick surface of one pan is now sticky and it is very difficult to create a high quality product with. On the other hand the pan that still has its nonstick surface is a pleasure to cook with and a very high quality product.
Not sure why one pan has held up well where as the other has failed :(

Would have expected better

published

I bought the professional series stainless steel with copper frying pan in Jan 2015 as we have an induction cooktop and supposedly this pan works best with our induction. Well the non stick is non stick no longer. Cooking on it has become very frustrating and disappointing. I would have expected such a high quality product to have lasted longer.

Perfect

published

I have found Jamie Oliver's frypans excellent with no food sticking, consequently it's easy to clean. The model I used was made in France. A lot better than other cookware.

Jamie Oliver Saucepan Set

published

I have seen a lot of bad comments on this site in regards to the Teflon coating peeling off. I have experienced the same problem. I had my saucepan set given to me as a present about 12 months ago and I would not recommend buying these saucepan sets to anybody. They should at least last more than 12 months with the price you pay. Not very impressed. :(

Not Going To Buy Jamie Oliver Pan Again.

published

Like lots on here, won't pay extra for the Jamie Oliver pan again. One half of the pan has lost its non stick coating and is starting to get black and gets quite sticky resulting in needing to use lots of oil to get a good cooking experience. I expect a lot better for a $230 pan. Unfortunately, it's more than 2 years old so it's out of warranty.

Terrible

published

After 6 months of use with careful cleaning and only using rubber spatula/tongs my pan is far from non stick - it's basically useless! Everything sticks to the pan no matter what we do! We lost the receipt moving house so can't return them either! My target brand fry pan lasted longer! very disappointing for the price of them!

Jamie Oliver Tefal Pan

published

Great pan. Cooks evenly, no food sticks to it and easy to clean in warm soapy water. The two handles on each side do not get hot which I was surprised about. I've only had it a few weeks but very happy so far. I will continue to wash it by hand though as I've read other reviews that are not as positive.

Jamie Oliver by Tefal saucepans

published

I bought a set of the Jamie Oliver by Tefal hard anodised saucepans and paid top dollar at Myer. What a complete waste of money!! With less than 6 months use, and despite being very careful not to use hard implements in them, the anodized coating has peeled off, and now nowhere near non-stick. Despite being advertised with a lifetime guarantee, the fine print states only in Europe, which is misleading.

Great Pans!

published

I swear by these pans, have 3 different styles, had for over 2 years....good as the day I purchased them, certainly NO signs of peeling! I use one everyday of the year to cook dinner etc, so have put them to the test well and truly. I always wipe out with a paper towel, never have put them in the dishwasher... don't need to anyway, as nothing sticks to MY pans. I think it comes down to how you treat things...just like everything else we buy!

Fantastic

published

I bought the induction non stick frypan that also can be put int he oven over 2 years ago, and still is perfect. The sales person advised Never EVER use spray oil in the pan as this affects the coating and always wash in warm soapy water, quick wipe out. I don't know what these people are doing to their frypans but mine is still perfect, it cost a lot of money and well worth it.

Terrible quality, maybe they are faulty products?

published

I brought reserve collection of tefal which is with same coating and base and similar price as Jamie Oliver hard anodised. I just can't believe the titanium coating peeled off from saucepan after only boiling pasta one time and got several marks on the surface. I have used tefal gourmet series for years, they are working very well. I found jamie and reserve collection both are made in china. If you wanna get high quality collection, better to buy some collection made in france. Both quality of reserve and jamie are terrible.

Hi there,

I returned the whole set and got full refund from retailed store. Other pans in the set seem fine, but two saucepans doesn't work professionally.

Don't waste your money

published

The protective coating on the Jamie Oliver frying pan started coming off within a month of purchase. Now over a year later the pan has little protective coating left. Everything sticks to it. Won't be making any Jamie Oliver omelettes with this piece of junk. I have $10 pans purchased at Walmart that are 15years old which are far better quality. What a complete rip off. Jamie Oliver, you need to take your name off this line of product.

Burn't by Jamie Oliver

published

Jamie Oliver nice guy. But how can he put his name to a product like the Tefal frying pan that I recently purchased.
What a rip off. Only a few weeks in and it burns my food every time. Not just in isolated places, all over.
If you are reading this please, please do not buy a Tefal frying pan from Jamie Oliver, and if you know him personally please inform him that he is ripping a lot of people off.
PS Just to be objective his sauce pan range are good but unfortunately not his frying pans!

Who said price equals quality?

published

Both my friend and I bought a Jamie Oliver Tefal Non-Stick frypan and my friend's pan become a non non-stick pan within a few uses. I fried meat in it several times and now can no longer cook omelettes as they stick to the pan regardless of me using olive oil spray. I read on another website that olive oil's not to be used in these pans. Sounds like hogwash to me as does the quality of these expensive Tefal frypans! I have just bought a $25 frypan from Woolworths because I know it will last for years.
