Ok for the money and great if you have a towing weight limit
Great little van towed with cx5 diesel goes well. Like most things you get what you paid for. But it would be nice if Jayco bothered to screw all the screws in properly. I haven’t counted them yet, even the 15a external socket screw were sticking out not screwed in all the way.
How hard is it, sorry for The negativity but you could train a monkey to do a better job. Quality control issues and it appears that Jayco still don’t want to listen.
We only took delivery of a 2022 swift 3 weeks ago, been out once for 5 days, but I have to say I’m a little bit worried about what the future will bring.
Purchased in December 2021 at Jayco Bayswater .

great little camper to two and child
After selling our old jayco finch two a lovely young couple who are giving it a new
life and a make over we bought a jayco swift 3 years old tows real well behind four cylinder petrol hilux it's great for two adults lovely and warm on cold nights .electric brakes work well has battery pack at everything Al the big vans have except air con. Tows really well recommend it to anybody who want a small camper.it actually Unfolds and sets up better and easier than the old one reversing is easy to as it has a long draw bar.really happy with it and I know I can always sell the far what I paid or a little less.again really happy highly recommend it.

Great Camper
Absolutely love it. Tows great, Easy to erect, good quality build. Fits in the garage out of the weather. We added a few upgrades like drop jack legs, battery pack, windgard TV antenna, a frame tap, black Rhino roof racks, mud flaps, and so on would highly recommended it.

Lousy after sales service
We booked months in advance to have work done to the roofing mechanism, (a manufacturer’s recall), on our Jayco Swift at Nowra RV Centre. Both at the time of booking and the day we left the camper with Nowra RV Centre at 8.45 am on 16 September 2016, I was assured that the work would be done the same day. However, they phoned me at midday to say it would in fact take until the next day. e came at the end of the day, our camper’s interior was in pieces and we were ‘cornered’ by them, forced to spend the night in Nowra with no camper. Moreover, they then said that they had never told us that the work would be completed in one day. We had booked a caravan park site for our stay, and had travelled from Sydney, where we live. We were left to find cabin/hotel accommodation at the last minute, with our dog to house: not easy. To make matters worse, on picking up the camper trailer next day, I was asked to sign that I had inspected the work and found it to my satisfaction. How can I, as an unqualified person with no experience in repairing camper trailers/caravans, judge the quality of the work on the roof mechanism? Naturally, I had to refuse to sign the document. We asked for reimbursement of the extra cost of accommodation, but I’m still waiting. Dealing with Nowra RV Centre, (which is part of Jayco Nowra), is full of incertitude. Great towing van but not to inpressed with the quality
I bought a jayco swift brand new 2015. I received allot with the puchase and we were really inpressed with that. After the first camp I decided the manual sink pump is useless and installed a 12 volt pump. The doorlocks does not lock and open properly. I took it for the first free service but I was not happy with the way that has gone. I got the feeling that they were fully booked and did not have time to deal with the promissed free service. check maximum weight on the dubble bed was 350 kg. The bracket was pop riveted.The plywood moves allot too when someone is on the bed. I will be doing repairs myself. As Advertised
We purchased our Swift in 2014. We have been away in it quite a few times on 2 or 3 night stays and have enjoyed every trip. Once set up with the beds extended, there is more than enough room for two to live comfortably.
Because the Swift is relatively light weight and has a low profile when ready for travel, our small 4WD car handles the towing job easily. Being older people (closer to 60 than to 21) we were concerned that setting up and packing away may prove difficult. Fortunately, we have found that if we take our time and stick to a logical sequence it all gets done without drama. We have found our little van to be a fun and comfortable way to enjoy the outdoors.

Jayco swift - home and away
Perfect for two people. Sleep on the double side or one side each. If sleeping on the double side, use other side for luggage etc. ours does not have an annex. Has a awning. Has jayco flys. Jayco fly middle pole can be difficult to attach. I believe this is a flaw in this particular design.

Love my Jayco Swift
I purchased this Camper trailer (Jayco 2015 model) as new. I was originally looking at a hard floor camper trailer/tents but came across this super little Jayco Swift camper trailer. It's small but once the bed ends are folded out it's huge for two people and has everything you could possibly need. Heaps of storage, power outlets, fridge, comfy beds (inner sprung mattress needed a topper still) and had extra options installed such as an Arial, battery as well as a coast to coast battery/water level gauge. It's so quick easy to setup and packup - none of these 2 hour setups. The after service has been excellent as well - Jayco - Page Bros Seaford & Prestige Jayco in Geelong have been great. This little van is the best investment - it's a holiday house on wheels, which is easy to store store,tow and setup. Not bad for the price when it's not a $70,000 caravan, there will be little teething problems probably, but they should all be covered by warranty. We are very pleased with our Swift. It's easy and light to tow. Plenty of room inside. We will probably buy an awning to save mud coming inside. In general we are pleased with our buy.

2014 Jayco Swift
Purchased our camper in October and took it on its first trip last weekend. We got ours with free ESC and overall it was easy to tow over the 500km each way. We have had a few small issues with our camper that I have preferred to fix myself rather than deal with warranty dramas. The Low boy tap pump is an issue. two pumps have now leaked pretty much straight away. The second one was leaking on our trip so I took the pump out and tightened the 8 screw's around the pump. this seemed to stop the leaking. There are signs these are built to a price....Read more
the tight-wad that installed the plumbing obviously didn't understand that hoses shouldn't be tension tight! I think this is what causes issues with the tap leaking. Other than that little issues lik cupboard locks not opening properly and needing adjusting, one of the gas hot plates won't stay on. When we opened the camper once we got home we noticed the weak little screws on the slide out beds were undone and will most likely need to be replaced with either screws or screws with nuts on them to stop them loosening while traveling. How these have been small issues and easily fixed. We do love this camper it is a very functional size for us with heaps of storage. 2013 Jayco Swift - Door wont stay shut
We purchased a Jayco Swift in Nov2013, it has been back for repairs three times. The biggest issue is the door does not stay shut when 2 people are on the bed. Has anyone had this issue? Jayco have changed the design and now have the double bed at the other end, eg not over the drawbar.

Jayco Swift Camper Trailer
Purchased a six month old Jayco Swift in 2013, had it for 6 months and then got rid of it. This camper basically fell apart around us, from shelves dropping out, to sliding bed supports shattering while packing the van away. Bolts dropping out of the leg supports and the wiring failing. The after sales service was dreadful, terrible customer service. Sold this lemon and lost money, but purchased an older Gold stream pop top which has been a delight

After over 20yrs of tenting I hit 40 and had enough sleeping on the ground!
I only have a small car which I love (2005 VW TD2lt Golf), the swift had just come into production and after checking out at the Caravan & Camping Show in Claremont WA, I made my purchase.
Well our 'cubby' tows like a dream, sets up with ease (even without the help of my son), has heaps of space and is very comfortable.
Purchased Bag ends which are put out every time, as they protect the exterior bed ends, (and are easier to clean).

Jayco Swift Outback 2013
OK, so we wanted something small and compact, there are only two of us. We were after something easy to put up and take down, after we have had tents, trailer tents, campervans, caravans. salesperson was off sick and basically nobody seemed to care (or that is what it felt like). We eventually picked up the new Swift and we were taken through the process on how to put it up and down. We got it home and that following weekend we put it up, and noticed that we had a curtain missing from one bed end, not only that but on inspection there looked like paint overspray on the wheel arches?. We contacted the salesperson to find out that the curtain was not missing, it was actually a safety thing because of the location of the cook top? So why leave the curtain hooks there? Anyway they gave us a curtain because they said we were "responsible adults". The next weekend was a long weekend so we went away on our first trip. Firstly we got 20kms down the road and the brakes were locking on one side of the trailer, so we switched the EBC off in the car. We put the camper up and noticed that the glass in the door was jutting out, so we hoped it wasn't going to be a wet weekend (which is wasn't). OK so a few teething problems. Next the fridge would not stay alight on gas, so all of our food had to be disposed off - not impressed. So on the Monday we called the dealer and explained the problems and they booked us in, but not for 5 weeks! I emailed the manager of the dealership (I am still waiting a response!). So the day arrived for us to take it in for the work to be carried out and it took a week, as the person who deals with the fridges just never turned up! We had to keep phoning to ask what was happening....by this time we were not impressed. Incidentally we had to cancel our weekend away which was booked as they took so long..... We got the camper back with just over a week until our 2 week roadtrip. All seemed good. When we got to our first camp stop, we put the camper up and the door seemed a bit hard to close, noted that the pin in the top hinge was missing! Anyway the week went on and we were packing away and noticed that the black trim on the camper had actually started to come away from the van (held on with double sided tape). That same day we arrived at our next camp stop and as we slid the bed out something fell on the floor, and it was the plastic that goes inside the aluminum track where the bed slides into had fallen out. Funnily enough at the campsite we saw the big sister an Outback Swan and went and asked if they had problems and yes they did, their trim had come away and also they had a crack in their roof, after 3 months of ownership. Would we recommend Jayco products and afterservice....that will remain debatable!3 comments
With thanks to the team at the factory in Melbourne and our local 'Service Agent' we have had our issues fixed. It is a shame that the local dealer doesn't provide the same great service.

tically fell apart around us, and my hubby can repair most things himself. We had shelves drop out of the kitchen, the bed sliding supports shatter and the bolts from the leg supports fall out while towing. All in all a terrible experience and the local service provider was disinterested. I would strongly suggest looking at an older Gold stream, Coromal or Golf....this is what we did and our older gold stream has been wonderful. Goodluck :-)Similar opinion? Jayco Swift Just great for weekends and quick trips!
The Swift - smallest camper in the range and absoutely great value! Want lots of storage? Need places for your clothes? Taking two kids and the dog? Then buy something else!! This is not what the swift is about. 2017 Jayco Swift Outback door is near impossible to get into position after being lowered from roof. The hinged elbow needs a very solid whack before it moves, or it won't move at all. The camper is raised to its full height and is level both ways. Any ideas please?

I made a thicker striker block to keep door shut out of 10mm cutting board, also put some epoxy glue top and bottom of your door hinges as these will fall out.
