you will not get any worse
hardly ever used - JBL sales had absolutely no knowledge of what i wanted - make me an offer for mine, not even the kids want to use it and gave me information that i find is ridiculous in their claim

WORST SOUNDBAR
I never criticise a product unless it’s really dirt. Do yourself a favour don’t buy this soundbar. Problems - Subwoofer distortions on low vol, detachable speakers always distortion, movies are a nightmare to watch on this no mids no lows, music no mids at all, only thing it’s good for is thumping BASS which kids love but not someone who wants to watch a quality movie with crisp sound. am back on my Bose solo which I thought am upgrading from but in reality I downgraded by buying JBL over Bose .

Love, love, love this
I purchased this at the same time of buying a new TV and they both compliment each other perfectly. I love the surround sound feature too and its seamless to use. I dont use the subwoofer as much these days as I have relocated to a small flat.

This is awesome. great purchase
This is one of the best speakers I have ever bought. I loved it in the store but was not sure how it would sound at my house. But it worked well.
I loved the true surround feature. It can hold the charge for a good amount of time

Useless support. Did not fully work from day 1.
Sound quality is “ok”.
Lots of bass in one frequency range from the subwoofer and then a small (tinny sound) frequency response from the main speaker. Its very powerful if you want loud in a normal lounge room, but crappy quality.
Sound quality aside, one of the inputs was dropping out repeatedly.
I had numerous messages with JBL support who kept trying to get me to restart, try other devices, try other inputs, update software. None of which worked.
Every response took another week for me to do, then send, then wait for a reply.
I gave up and threw it out.

Powerful sound. True 5.1. Feel sorry for the neighbors.
It might not have a huge range of features and adjustability settings, but it delivers on what the majority of consumers such as myself would want out of a soundbar, to deliver rich and powerful sound that has simplicity in its features and design, with the added versatility of being true surround.
If you want rich and thumping bass, crisp vocals, and the unbelievable versatility of this setup, this thing hits the sweet spot.
This bad boy has literally impressed everyone Ive shown.

Great Base!
I bought this Soundbar to go with my great big TV, base is fantastic I honestly would hate to be the people living below in my apartment! I like the sound the only thing I find is that Music option doesn’t sound that great, I usually have it on Movie to have the good base and sound together! Definitely not a sound bar if you want to play music it’s definitely a movie sound bar! Anyway it’s still great, I love the detachable speakers!

A true wireless soundbar
I have used a 5.1 AV unit with cables for some time and in the new house we are in, the ability to run cables in walls or roof (flat roof extension) was going to be quite difficult. I looked at Samsung options but again the rear speakers required power and a box that would need to be put somewhere. JBL seemed to be the only soundbar provider who has overcome this. The setup was quite easy, mounting the speaker brackets on the wall is easy so you can pull them down to charge. We have used the speakers even in other rooms of the house to play mus...
Read moreic, so they become a portable option. I even found that they have a magnet in them so you can (if game) attach them to a metal object. Been using them outside even! There are some issues I have with the unit, it is not perfect but also this could be the way I have it currently configured so still playing with options. Pros: -great sound and bass and actual wireless -remote has options for surround speaker levels and bass -thus far the battery in wireless speakers seems to be 8+ hours, but time will tell -arc support for control of TV/PS4 -Bluetooth supportPurchased in June 2022 at Harvey Norman for $798.

Superb quality and stylish
The JBL bar 5.1 is very exquisite to look at and the materials used are good quality. I like the wireless subwoofer but I like the most is the removable surround satellite speakers that you put on a stand or wall mount. It’s performance is spectacular when you watch movies with 5.1 channel. The setup is straightforward and the connectivity are great (hdmi, aux and Bluetooth). Overall despite the price tag it’s all worth it!
Questions & Answers
Hi, I'm wondering if the detachable speakers can be used around the house whilst playing music. If I use one of the speakers in another room is there a setting which means the sound will be the same on all speakers?
Yes they can de placed around the house but there are no settings. However there is a remote control which could have that function.
I get that they can be placed around the house. But so far the detachable speakers only play what seems to be 'surround' sounds.. they miss vocal parts of tracks. What I want to know is if the smaller speakers can act like a normal wireless speaker, so I can listen to the exact same music three different areas of my house?
I have 2 jbl 5.1 soundbar with detachable speakers when my son has his on and ours is off the sounds comes through the detachable speakers is there anyway to fix it
Is spotify available?
Spotify isn’t available on the bar, but if you connect your phone via Bluetooth you can use Spotify on your phone
