Air conditioner doesn’t completely turn off. All lights on panel off but silently running (not compressor). Then turn back on with remote & aircon comes back on fully. Turn off again & turns off completely. Without warning comes back on by itself but not compressor. Can you help. Also can you tell me which fuse controls the aircon as they are not labelled. Cheers Baz

I have been looking at buying a van for several months now. The Jurgens Tooradin appeals to me, however, the bed positioned on an angle looks quite unusual. I'm thinking that this has been done for maximum space, however it looks like there's not much space to walk around the corner of the bed to access the ensuite. Also, is it correct that to access the ensuite, you have to walk through the whole van? I would really appreciate it if any Jurgen's owners out there would be able to tell me how they like the floor plan.
Many thanks,
Bernadette

Hi Bernadette,
There are two floor plans for the Tooradin. One has the center angled bed, the other has the north south front bed. We had the latter. I always was of the opinion that the angled bed was not space efficient and when caravaning my wife needs all available storage.
It is also the case with our floor plan, that access to the ensuite is through the caravan.............which has not been as issue for us.
The primary reason for purchasing a Jurgens is the build quality. Jurgens is German, manufactured in South Africa ( where there is a large German population ) and sent flat-pac to Australia for assembly. Quality control is a big problem for many Australian built caravans, our Jurgens has had only a few minor problems which were easily fixed. In the long run, they are a great caravan.

Where would I find the regulator, as I may be faulty in relation to the battery alarm going off?
regards chucky

It's under the seat next to sink, all the wires run into it, you would need to get the part trim a dealer though. Mine was changed under warranty
chuckyasked
what would cause the battery level indicator alarm to come on (red flashing light ans beeping)?

We had similar to this, it was to do with the regulator, they replaced ours, has not happened again.
Hi Chucky,
I have had this happen to me also. It was when your battery level is extremely low and you are running, say your fridge on 12v or even your wine cooler. It is an alarm to warn you that you are about to run out of 12v power.
I agree that a faulty regulator would lead to a loss of power as well.

Does anyone know if you can have the space wheel mounted on the back of the Tooradin van instead of underneath? Thanks.
1 answer
Ask jurgens direct, I have not seen it done.you can mount a bike rack on the tooradin, so maybe the spare wheel could be done

Has any one else had issues with the hot water service? We have had our van just over two years and for the last few months we have had issues. A valve had been replaced. We are currently away and have found that once again we do not have hot water. We purchased the van from a dealer 3 hours away from us. It is very annoying having to keep taking it back.

Hi Fran
At this point in time we have not had any problems at all with our Tooradin. Please let me know how your problem is resolved. This is the important part. How good is the after service? Thank You. With respect and love Felicity
our HWS (amongst other things) just died just out of warranty $200 plus labor $120/ hr for the element of which they are not sure of due to the tight location, might have to pull out the bed and take off cupboard walls disassemble the pump, gas, plumbing, drain etc . A bit rich for basically a 14 litre kettle.
forget after sales service
We took our van back to jurgens Berwick to get the hot water fixed this time. They were great . Not had any issues since (touch wood)
Hope you get yours resolved.
