cheap and nasty! !
Lower base cabinet absorbed water, from a leak over a 1 hr period!!!
swelled and split! Had to remove benchtops and replaced with a superior quality base cabinet which didn't match any existing dimensions so had to rip entire kitchen out and start again! No warranty!

Amazing Customer Service!
Very late review, however I purchased my Kaboodle kitchen from Bunnings about 8 years ago, over the years the cabinets started turning yellow and was very disappointed as I thought they would have lasted alot longer.
After making a trip to my local Bunnings I was contemplating purchasing new cabinet doors however it would of been a very costly fix and not knowing whether the cabinet doors would last. A lady at Bunnings suggest I contact Kaboodle about the problem, I had no receipts only for the 6 pane glass panel doors I had to order.

contacting Kaboodle, I was asked to take photographs of the doors and the proof of purchase recipt. With a very quick response from Kaboodle they were happy to replace all cabinet doors. I would like to say Thankyou Kaboodle for your amazing customer service, I had limited receipts and you still were happy to replace the cabinet doors at no cost. Also the peace of mind knowing that the problem of the doors yellowing has now been fixed. I would definatly recommend Kaboodle to anyone, with the ease of installation and fantastic customer service.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Warranty Claim easy and straight forward.
We had installed a white kitchen prior to 2010 but over time random panels had turned cream. Contacted customer support giving the dates of purchase and although just out of warranty period Kaboodle agreed to replace all the panels. Once approved the replacement panels were in the local Bunnings within 14 days of the approval notification.

Good product and excellent after sale service
Ordered a Kaboodle kitchen through Bunnings. Excellent service from Bunnings and I recommend you have consultant come to your address and do the measuring. You get the fee back when you place your order. Quality of the product was very good but I did have some issues with de-lamination of the coating from some doors and a panel. This was resolved quickly and painlessly. I installed my kitchen and made use of the many videos on YouTube. It would pay to have DIY experience and not be a total klutz with tools. Overall I am very happy with the whol...Read more
e process from deciding the type of kitchen through to completion. If you a reasonably priced kitchen then consider this company. All up including a new stove top, sink and both plumbing and electrical this project cost a bit under $10,000.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Kaboodle, the old Flatpak at inflated prices
Kaboodle is Bunnings new Flatpak provider, and that's fine. Sadly the pricing for the Kaboodle range ends up in customers paying far more for what are basically the same items.
With Flatpak one paid a set price for a total cabinet, including doors, hinges and handles. Now under the Kaboodle range one pays for the basic cabinet, then extra for the doors, and more for hinges and even more for the handles.....to the tune of around a 30% price increase.
Sadly with the competition of the forever ailing Masters now long gone, Wesfarmers (Bunnings) are pillaging the wallets of the everyday consumers for as much as they obviously can......a sad reflection on the once ethical Wesfarmers of the 80s to 90s.

Exceptional customer service
I had a problem with 2 cupboard doors and my complaint was resolved the very day I rang the company. Replacement doors were received by courier 3 days later as I live in a small rural town. The staff member I spoke to was an absolute delight and couldn't be more helpful. It was a pleasure to deal with a company that meets its warranty commitments and my new kitchen looks absolutely fabulous.

Reasonable quality until you reach the benchtop
Cabinetry and door/drawer finish seem quite reasonable for the price, but .... the benchtops are not custom or made to measure unless you are dealing with 2400mm or less. Kaboodle advertising is misleading. I wanted a 3200mm straight laminate benchtop which Kaboodle cannot supply unless I would like a join in the middle, where the sink will be located. 2400mm maximum seems ridiculously short and is not mentioned anywhere in their catalogs that I can find. Very disappointed.

Outstanding customer service .
I recently had a few minor problems with my Kaboodle Kitchen (corner door hinges and a cupboard door need replacing ). The folks at Kaboodle replaced both for me (even posted them to me ) all they required was the receipts for the purchase of the items . This is outstanding customer service considering I purchased the kitchen nearly 5 years ago (even a statutory warranty is only good for 4 years ).
Absolutely outstanding customer service .

Fabulous Kitchen
Our Kaboodle kitchen was installed almost 6 years ago. The only problem we have experienced was discolouration of the 2 drawer panels. It progressively became worse and contacted Kaboodle to outline the problem. Kaboodle undertook a review and determined that it was a fault and arranged a full replacement under warranty. We are extremely pleased by the prompt action taken to firstly review, confirm and then arrange delivery of the replacement. Highly recommend Kaboodle, particularly with as it comes with as 10-year guarantee.

Hinge replacement
My pantry hinges on a full door size all broke after six years and all were replaced with revamped stronger ones. You need to keep original receipts and photograph them as they fade as you may not get them replaced.
Luckily I had receipts and replacement was fast.

DO NOT BUY KABOODLE
I am on a budget so figured Kaboodle is a great option.
To my frustration the carcass for the drawers are drilled incorrectly and do not allign there is a 10 to 23mm variation from left to right.
Therefore the drawers do not work in my case i have push to open, so the don't push close.
I have pleaded with kaboodle to help rectify this but they refuse and claim it is not a warranty issue.
There cnc machine clearly was out of calibration nothing more nothing less.
The after service with kaboodle are terrible.....

Nothing but a hassle and no warranty back up
Has been nothing but problems from installation and both kaboodle and bunnings have refused any warranty after I was assured by managers that the faults would be fixed. The push to open drawers and cupboards weren’t fit for purpose, Constantly holding my kitchen items hostage by refusing to open, these where replaced by bunnings and Kaboodle with soft close option with handles which through out design adding to the cost as I had to get a new bench top and builder back to move cupboard to allow for handle clearance. What kaboodle or bunnings did...Read more
install still doesn’t work properly or some of the cupboard door simply fell off as the hinges pulled out of the doors not to mention the damage removing all the push to open latches has done to the cabinets and doors, My kitchen looks like Swiss cheese. The handles bunnings supplied and kaboodle installed are rubbing and damaging the panels but they now say they weren’t suitable for the kitchen. Also some of the drawer panels kaboodle removed and adjusted are all out of line. The finish on the panels and doors is full of faults, ripples and pits which are clearly visible once the protective plastic coating was removed but I’ve been told by kaboodle that by installing the product I’ve accepted the quality. Kaboodles own repair staff repeatedly told me this is not the simple DIY product it is advertised to be and you need to be a qualified cabinet maker to install the product correctly. At a total cost of over $18000 this has not been a cheaper option than the hassle free custom made local company and I deeply regret my choice to kaboodle it.Similar opinion? Kaboodle Push to open problematical
The push to open option for Kaboodle kitchens is problematical. Despite all runners positioned on pre drilled holes draws do not close in the same position. Because they need to be pushed to open they are more proud of the cabinets. Soft close with handles would be better option.

Relatively Easy Good Quality DIY Product
The majority of components went together very easily. I would recommend researching and purchasing appropriate saw blades to minimise chipping of any laminate when cutting and a combination drill and countersinking bit. This can add a approximately $150 dollars to the cost of this product providing you already have the appropriate power tools.
The push to open hardware was very fiddly and required some deviation away from the DIY installation instructions so I'd recommend anyone looking to install a kitchen for the first time to use alternativ...Read more

Warranty related issue
I had a warranty issue and sent through the receipt and photos of the product that was needed in order to complete my kitchen. Kaboodle staff were very professional in their dealings with me. They organised the manufacture of a product in a colour that was no longer available and then shipped the product to my home address at no cost and in a timely manner. I was very impressed with the after sales service. I would have no problem purchasing this product again in the future.

Happy with the product but poor service
I ordered an L shaped kitchen bench for an office kitchen from Bunnings. When it was ready I went to collect it but a major panel was missing. I live 50 km from the nearest Bunnings so that meant a round trip of 100 km 2 weeks later to collect it. Black mark number 1. When I assembled the unit I found that this panel was too short, so another 100 km round trip to return it to Bunnings. It will 6 weeks by the time I get the (hopefully) correct size panel. I insisted it be delivered this time. Black mark number 2 for not making an effort t...Read more
o make it more quickly. So Pros: the panels were in good condition with pre-drilled holes and the instructions were easy to follow. I am not completely happy with the bare edges on some of the panels. The metal draw runners are metal and sturdy and work well, better than some of the plastic ones you see. Cons: Poor service as above.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

What is the difference between an end panel and a door. Ie: measurements are the same, same finish. Yes door panel has hinge indents but you aren't going to see these if I use it as an end panel and save $80? It seems like a no brainer... Am I missing something?
5 answers
I'm not sure if measurements are different for doors and end panels as my carpenter installed them. I used some end panels to give continuity to the colour I selected for the doors and for aesthetic value. In some cases I didn't need them but the end panels i did need to use gave a lovely professional "finish" to the kitchen.
The doors have pre-drilled cutouts for the hinges whereas the end panels don’t. Yes, you could use end panels as doors, but then you would need to carefully drill out the recesses for the door hinges. Cheers
Thanks for your prompt answers.
I'm going to take the $240 end panel back and buy a $160 door and use it as an end panel saving me a total of $80.

Hi,
Would you mind confirming if someone is smoking in the house would a Kaboodle Kitchen cupboards tarnish or go yellow?
4 answers
For what it’s worth, we found that the white high gloss lacquered cupboard doors naturally gained a yellowish tinge over a few years, with the worst being in the laundry where they were exposed to some direct sunlight. As for the effects of smoking, I had given up smoking by the time we installed the cupboards. The melamine carcasses did not experience the same issue. That said, most other brands also have the same problem, so it’s not specific just to Kaboodle.
We ended up taking the cabinet doors and other gloss painted pieces of trim to our local auto panel shop where we had them resprayed with a high gloss white automotive paint.
Quality wise the Kaboodle products are of a reasonable quality, it’s just the Bunnings pricing model that I don’t like.
Smoking and direct sunlight always seem to affect paint finishes, drapery, blinds whether it be cupboards, dining tables, curtains etc. As we are smoke free with the exception of a wood fire and I close all blinds in the kitchen when the sun is fierce, I haven't experienced any yellowing as yet (fingers crossed).
Thank you,
Rental property and a tenant that has been smoking for over two years it has turned the kitchen yellow.
Most of the house including door trims are also yellow with a brown tinge to it.
Just wanted to see if smoking has contributed to the yellow of this kitchen.
