Problems from the start. I am 185cm tall and had to crouch just to get the brushes to turn. It worked for 2 months then brushes stopped spinning. Found that the rubber strip had come loose and jammed up the rollers. There is no way to refix the strip to the unit as it is machine pressed on. I'll never buy a Karcher product again!!
Used literally 5 times. Motor has the capacity of a small toy, roller threads are cheap plastic. I should be charging Karcher for Mental trauma support. Get your act together and value the reputation of your company...
We have had this for around 8 months and its stopped working, finicky, fragile not recommended, gone back to the old fashioned way. mop and bucket, shame as karcher has a good name
We bought this hoping to have a quick and easy way to clean our hard wood floors as we have dogs. We are very disappointed. Basically it is useless. My daughter and I live on the same property and thought we could share this. We have both given it a fair go but unfortunately it is a total waste of money.
I chose this model because I have other Karcher products that are great.

Karcher floor cleaner worked really well when we first had the machine. Mopped my tiled area less than once a week. After about three months problems started. Water jet worked when it felt like it despite cleaning the machine as per recommendations. Phoned for advice from a recommended repairer worked for a short period of time. Some of the tiling is a little unending in places and after mopping gentlest over area rollers stop working. Now at 8 months machine unusable. Store won’t accept it back and has to go to a recommended repairer. For a reliable org like karcher disappointed.

leaves far too many streaks, for the cost of the machine performance should be much higher, very dissapointed karcher has a good reputation but falls way way short here, not happy
Product worked great the first couple of times on my tiled floors, then the cleaning rollers stopped spinning. Water would just leaked over the floor so it was back to the household mop to clean my floors. I also took the head apart to see if it was maybe blocked somehow, only to find rusted parts. Im giving it 2 stars because it did a brilliant job of my floors before it seized up within 6 months.

Have always liked the Karcher brand due to the robust high pressure cleaners they manufacture.
After a fair bit of reading reviews and seeing the negative reviews I though how bad can it be, the pressure cleaners are reliable and well built.
In a few simple words... don't get a Karcher FC5, my one lasted at the most 7 cleans of the house, no hard work or abuse. Made sure I kept things clean afterwards and carefully cleaned the rollers etc. The rollers started making an odd noise then just stopped spinning. Sounded like a gear had stripped. W...

This is a great way to mop hard floors using electricity instead of elbow grease. It's a niche product really and not cheap, but really well thought out. The fluid feed I find a little clumsy, is gravity only through some really tiny channels, so don't add anything to the fluid which has substance like powders. Also it can't get under anything where you have to lean it backwards such as under the lower part of stairs, because the spinners come off the ground. Those spinning microfibre pads can go in the washing machine. All in all a great buy given there's no competitors that I can find in same price bracket

So far I've used this on a massive veranda with polished timber floors, a big indoor timbered area, outdoor concrete painted steps and outdoor tiles with a very non-slip surface.
The only problem I encountered was when a small pebble was picked up and jammed the roller, it was a bit difficult to get the jammed roller off the clear the pebble.
It seemed expensive when I bought it, but I've forgotten the price already, that's a sign of a good product to me.
I purchased the Karcher hard floor cleaner for my wife in September 2018. At first she found it to be the perfect cleaner until it started to leak the dirty water leaving her to put the cleaner away and use the mop. A week ago the rollers stopped so I researched the problem on the internet for a simple solution but found a Youtube video showing a cleaner disassembled and the motor and bearings completely rusted and seized up. Out of curiosity I pulled the cleaner apart and found that exactly the same had happened to our cleaner. It appears that this is a common occurrence with these cleaners which is very surprising coming from manufacturer such as K'Archer.

$5.00 mop does a better job! . It was great for about 2 months then it went downhill fast! Over the next 2 months I went through 4 rollers and today I put a new one on, brand spankin new, went forward and back and it came undone-unraveled, then gets caught up in the squeezer and breaks down into fluff. Don’t buy it, I’m so disappointed. LouA

This machine only skims over the floor not actually cleans them. It needs some sort of scrubber. I still need to use a steam mop after this to get the floors clean.
Wait for the next model

I am so dissappointed with this machine as it was expensive for what it does. The machine is very heavy to use and i dont think it does a thorough clean. The mop and bucket does a much better job..

If you are sick of poor quality mops with repeated failures buy this. Easy to use. Easy to use. Easy to maintain.
So far so good. Got it for the mopping, roller aspect. However the vacume means that your not just pushing dirty water along the floor from the same old bucket. Gotta empty the waster water to avoid smells. Yeah the rollers do jam but just clean the debris when you take the head off and rollers out. Maintain it. A separate pack of rollers can be a bit pricey. I would like to see a set of 'scrubbing rollers' as well as the microfiber rollers but they are adequate for the job. I basically spent a bit of coin cause I am sick of the poor quality mo...
Read moreps out there, that break easily but are priced so cheap, you can basically buy a new one without justification. I needed something excellent quality and this brand delivered! Makes cleaning a breeze with no exertion from the user. I hope they get into the mopping robot market with a set of six similar rollers under the unit.- 2 reviews
I have shiny floors so this actually leaves the floors streak free. It is large and bulky so a bit hard for my wife to use but for me it’s ok.
First use found the Karcher FC5 heavy to use and could not get into floor space beside the toilet, need to find the correct angle when using. On the second use the rollers locked up and the unit wouldnt function. Taking it back to Bunnings today onky 1 week old

I find it does not clean well and leaves streaks. Far better results using the good old mop and bucket and just as quick bit needs a bit more effort.

Worked fine the first few times, now rollers lock up and the machine makes a screaming sound. Have soaked them and done all the troubleshooting to no avail. Huge amount of money to pay for something that does not work. So disappointing - waste of money and waste of time trying to get the bloody thing to work. Use one of those floor mops with the wipes on instead - whole lot cheaper and works a whole lot better.

I like to vac mop, it’s quite time effective & easy to use, we use it when I handover homes that I build for hard floors, I did have issues with it the rollers getting stuck, but to my surprise Bunnings replaced the unit with no hassles at all. The new machine is working great...... Definitely make sure floors are swept free of any larger bits of grit etc, as this seems to cause the issues. I’m confident now that my new machine will last
Sad to say this is possibly the worst floor cleaner we have owned. We thought that the brand name Karcher would mean a good quality product.... not so.
its very heavy and cumbersome to use, but it does clean the floor very well (when it works).
Our issue is not uncommon looking at other forums. The rollers constantly lock up and stop spinning. We normally get 3-4 weeks of use out of it then is locks up and has to be sent back for repair, leaving us with nothing for 7-10 days. Once it is back it is again fine for another 3-4 weeks before the same problems rears its head again and the rollers start locking up intermittently at first, and then permanently. Mine is now back with Karcher for the 3rd time in just 4 months.

We have 100 year old hoop pine floors. I hate mopping them because no matter what product you use, you have to mop twice to get the polished finish I like. I've used the FC5 twice now using the provided solution and it's been brilliant. It's mopped brilliantly plus acts like a polisher as well. I compare it to using an electric toothbrush instead of a normal one - same amount of work but the machine does XX times as much. I don't use it for a vacuum and probably never will. It is on the heavy side and the motor unit does get hot. That's my only complaints. Again, so far, very happy with it.
Worked well for 10 months, rollers now jam. Motor fine, spins without rollers in it. Now jams with or without cover plate. Hard to believe Karcher don't recognise these issues and continue to destroy their reputation by selling new stock.

I have a large 5 bedroom house with large expanses of floor boards. The karcher 2 in 1 saves me so much time and energy. It is fabulous for washing floors although not so great on vacuuming. I bought it 4 months ago after reading the reviews and was aware of its failings as a vacuum but I really wanted a solution for mopping the floors and its brilliant. Important to wet the rollers before each use and turn it on in its cradle for a few seconds as per the instructions. Also after each use I clean out the dirty water tank and rollers and the foot to keep it in good condition.
