Rice gravel
They took an established liked product, made the puffs harder and smaller then made it more expensive. I think you'd be lucky to get 4 bowls from the 315g box.

Rice Bubbles now like small little rocks.
I don't know what happened to Rice Bubbles, they are now quite small and dense, with an unappetizing texture. I assume they have found a way to cut down on an ingredient somewhere to cut down on the cost of manufacture, (similarly with Corn Flakes, which aren't as good now either) hoping that people wouldn't notice. Well I noticed, just chucked 3/4 of a packet in the bin, they are now almost inedible, the final straw being when one of the Rice Bubbles stuck in my throat, which felt like I had swallowed a sharp rock. A Rice Bubbles packet will never see the inside of my pantry again. Good work!

Mr kellogg's what have you done, please explain!!!!
Firstly, I was surprised at how many people were at a wonder and dismayed by the change in the traditional classic "Rice Bubbles ".
I purchased a large box of Rice Bubbles, to have with hot milk, and Milo, let them soak in the flavours. Yummy..........so I thought!!!
It just didn't seem to be the same, more like baby food, then looking closer.....They've reduced the size. WHY?
Sorry that's the last box Mr K

Deteriorated to awful.
I love the occasional bowl of rice bubbles with cold milk and a bit of sugar.
Brought a box as really felt like them.
What a shock. Small bubbles. Where is snap, crackle and pop. Tasteless rubbish. Even a lousy after taste.
Nothing like there normal product i enjoyed. 1 is too high a rating. Never again.

Why the changes?
I’m 70 years old & grew up eating the old cereal favourites, including rice bubbles.
I rarely eat them these days, but have been unwell recently & I craved some good, old fashioned comfort food.
My husband raced out to buy me some Kellogg’s rice bubbles & served them up with banana. Shock number 1 - the look of them! They’re now minuscule, pale and insipid looking - put me off immediately! Shock number 2 - there was silence when I added the milk: no snap, crackle OR pop. Shock number 3 - the complete lack of flavour.
What has Kellogg’s done? I...

Terrible, what changed
I don't know what they have done, probably something to increase profits. The Rice Bubbles are a different size and texture and taste terrible. I'm 77 and have eaten them all my life, but never again. I am taking the packet back to the shop for a refund.

Wow what happened??
Totally different taste and texture. I have been eating them my whole life. But now I can’t see myself ever buying them again if they stay this way... sad times. It’s funny how so many products lately have drastically dipped in quality. Yet the price is still the same...?

Gritty
I have loved rice bubbles off and on for forty years, but recently have found that instead of nice bubbles of puffed rice they are small almost gritty in texture, I do not know what Kellogg’s have done but if the do not fix the product sales will drop dramatically.

Disappointing.
Had my first bowl of this old favourite recently & was horrified,as the large bigpuffs of bubbles I remember were so tiny that you needed amagnifying glass to find them, plus there was NO Snap Crackle & Pop either like in the old days! Had no taste at all either...I chose to buy the Kelloggs brand over the Homebrand, but I think they are exactly the same thing & by being out into a Kelloggs box, we pay more for the brand name!!!! SHAMEFULL Kelloggs....STOP changing the recipe!!!

Absolutely Sensational
Hand crafted my god himself. Nothing will ever top a simple spectacular bowl of rice bubbles. Would recommend at least a minimum of 6 bowls per day fot everyone in Australia.

Rice dust not bubbles
My large box of ricebubbles is full of rice bubble dust - which I usually only get at the end of the packet, I couldn't believe how much was in there, I even scooped out half the box to see if there were any ricebubbles underneath but it was still mostly dust.

Kellogg's Rice Bubbles
I made Mars Bar Slice for the first time in a year and what has Kellogg's done to their rice bubbles? The rice bubbles are half the size they used to be. Shocking and the slice turned out very hard because of the size of the rice bubbles. Please go back to the old recipe as I am sure Chocolate Crackles will also be a lot harder now using the new Rice Bubbles. I will not be using Kellogg's Rice Bubbles for anymore recipes in the future unless they go back to how they were. I will now have to find another brand.

Not the same.
I don't know what Kelloggs have done, but the have seriously mucked up the old well known rice bubbles. They are now rubbish. Dear Kelloggs, please go back to the original recipe.
Questions & Answers
good old kellogs ....if the rice bubbles are any smaller /??????????????????
It's more that Kellogg's has decided to standardise the size of the grains, as being used for their other products. This means cheaper production costs and lousy Rice Bubbles, with no taste. I'm already back to t the Weetabix.
good answer must be a few other manufactures competing / /if only the present generation realised how good they were once;; regards from a ww2 resident
Lost me. Coco pops aren't like chocolate milkshakes only crunchey. They don't crunch nor taste like they were. Rice bubbles have lost their snap crackle pop. LEAVEN cereal on the shelf.
i purchased rice bubbles last week for the first time in years - why are they so small they ar not like they used to be - will not be buying again
