Broke after 5 uses

published

This was bought for me as a gift last year, and was used a handful of times. The motor on the stick blender then stopped working just 2 days after the warranty expires! The customer service at Kenwood just emailed back with a list of repair places and nothing else. No acknowledgement or anything. The product itself was useful but would not be recommending Kenwood.
Useful
Terrible customer service, product not up to standards

Great until you start to use it regually

published

We purchased this and used it intermittently up until we had our first born. As we started to cook for her regally though we found the two main sticks (the large metal one and the masher) broke very soon after we stated using it.
Pretty disappointing as I was going to buy another brand but a in store rep from Kenwood talked me into this one for it's superior quality attachments. Additionally I found the food processor was not large enough and even at 1/2 full found it difficult to get all the food done, the large tri-blade was average at best and the drink container could really do with a non spill lid whist in use.

My most useful kitchen gadget

published

I really love this product. I actually sold my old food processor as this does everything I need. I love the potato masher and the small blender especially. I use it every week and I've never had any issues with it (have had it over a year now). I've given it some pretty severe work outs blending dry spices too. It's so convenient being able to swap over the different attachments quickly.
Potato masher, small blender, easy to use, powerful.
Nothing significant. Small plastic blender can be a bit difficult to put lid on.

Good while it lasted

published

Failed after less than 2 years. Still looks mint but no way to dismantle it without damage and not worth paying to have it fixed. Used to believe Kenwood was a top brand but no longer with this lack of reliability. If they are a 12mth throwaway they should retail at less than $100.
Where are they made now?
Worked well
Bad Reliability esp when marketing text says "design for life"

Absolute trash. Do not buy

Loved it!

published

Mine just broke after over a year and a half of being used quite heavily. I mainly used the food processor part and it was the prefect size. It was small enough to be used every day for making one servings of things or dressings etc. It wasn't big enough to do some processing such as making cheesecake bases, but I could work around by doing two lots.
Small, light, processed well
Not big enough for some things, bowl scratched easily.

Expected a lot more from Kenwood

published

It worked fine but then then the motor blew up. For that price you would expect it to last more then 2 years. I would have been better off by buying a new one from KMART every 6 months. Looking at other reviews, it looks like it happens a lot. I don't think I will be buying a Kenwood again.
worked ok until motor blew up in kids hand
Motor blew up which is only covered for 1 year

Great appliance

published

I purchased this tri-blade about 6 months ago. I have used it almost everyday! I haven't had any issues with the motor. It is easy to use, attachments are easy to clean and can go in the dishwasher. Great for making soups, dips & crushing nuts. It does have a lot of attachments, would be awesome if there was a station that the blender comes in so the pieces are all together.
great for everyday use
needs a station? for the parts to go in

Bit dissapointing

published

Got this to replace a very good breville hand blender. The extras are a bit rubbish, who needs 2 stick blitzer attachments. Mixing bowl lid is rubbish. Masher is also pretty rubbish. Mixing bowl is getting pretty scratched already and only had it 2 months. The motor is good and strong tho. Would of been nice to have a couple of diferent blades for the mixing bowl. I find the power level setting is a bit awkward.
Powerfull
Mixing Bowl,Masher,Powerlevel setter is annoying, not sure why there are 2 blitzing stick attachments.

Core product good, variable quality attachments, poor customer service

published

In general the product is great, however I've been let down by a cheap plastic part on the masher attachment that broke on first use. Customer service want me to take to a service agent for evaluation on a 10c plastic part which is unrealistic. Fix customer service for minor issues and you may have a 5 star product, but asking people to take to a service agent for a part you can't simply buy is unacceptable.

Not Lasting

published

I bought this about 1.5 years ago and rarely used it. But its not working anymore. The motor suddenly stopped when I was using it. Not really lasting, some of the attachments are never been used. I only used one of the attachment for making soup. What a waste! I would not recommend to buy this product. Hope this review will help other people.

Rubbish

Broke on the 2nd use. Thought kenwood was supposed to be a reliable brand, not impressed. Was mixing biscuit mix when the mixer stopped working and smelled like smoke. Only been used to blend vegetable soup and then the biscuit mix, certainly not had a hard life or over worked.

Would never recommend this product.

This product is not sturdy enough and after-sales support is wanting. For the second time in two years the top of the chopper blade on my unit has sheared off. An email request for help from the cusomer care website failed to elicit any response after nine days and the company now can't find it. With the prospect of having to find a local service agent and buy two new parts I now intend to throw this product away and buy a more sturdy brand.

Great Machine,cant live without it

published

Value for money, It comes with a number of attachments. A tri blade blender head, pan blender, masher, whisk, containers. Great for chopping onions, and making smoothies. and blends soups directly into saucepan beautifully. Very versatile and use it a lot, easy clean, who needs a dishwasher? Had ours 2 years now, and after a hard life we have just bought another.
Use every piece and use it daily
Pitty it wore out so soon. Guess they don't make em too last.

Heavy Weight Dud

I bought this one year ago and in that time i have rarely used it . When i was blending a vegetable soup the plastic socket for the metal drive shaft on the hand held motor cracked and broke . Now all the other attachments are useless as well. 9 days out of warranty, thought Kenwood would be better than this. Very disappointing.

Bought brand new from eBay so didn't got any warranty and just after 3rd time use, the motor burnt. I hate it and I don't have replacement option either. I got tempted by the look but unfortunately it is complete crab. I don't advise anyone to buy this stick blender.
The look is appealing

Another dead machine!

published

I purchased this machine and within 6 months had to put it into storage as we moved interstate. 1 year later taken out of store and worked for 3 months ... went out with a small "bang". Whilst I'd had less than 12 months use and attachments still in top nick, the item is useless, and warranty expired.
Good for blending soups with its metal stand that doesn't melt in the soup ... whilst it worked!!
Can't even open up the handle without breaking it open to see if it can be fixed. I expect to get more than 9 months work out of such a product.

One of my best buys

published

I have been using it for a year now, I love it as I can interchange various attachments for the one recipe and then wash them when I'm done, rather then having to rewash each time such as with a food processor. My only regret is that I didn't have this when my daughter was young and eating pureed foods!
reliable

I love Kenwood Triblade

published

The Kenwood Triblade is so easy to use and it comes with heaps of attachments to blend, chop and mash etc. Its easy to clean and does a good job every time. It even comes with an attachment to whip cream which works brilliantly. It makes my job in the kitchen so much easier with a reliable tool that never lets me down.
Everything from chopping, whipping and mashing and easy to clean

Triblade

When I use my chopper the blade goes around but stops when there is food in it. Can this be repaired or do I need to buy a new bowl lid. This is a triblade HB720

The food may be too dense for the Triblade to chop and mix. Have found this product isn't too suitable for wet ingredients.
