Would never buy a Kenwood appliance again...
When deciding what to buy, I compared Breville with Kenwood mixers, and decided on this Kenwood model as it had the blender attachment (save on appliances on bench) I bought this from Farmers, Westfield, Riccarton. It can not cut onion's finely. It doesn't cut cold cubed butter into flour for making pastry, crumble topping or scones - it goes round and round and makes a big ball of butter... Doesn't like it when you crush biscuits. The blender attachment - if you hold your tongue right, you might get it attached, if you're lucky!! 15 months ...Read more
after I bought it, the blade attachment separated in half, still works... and my son knocked the bowl on the edge of the gas hob. the bottom bit that helps click the bowl on to the base broke off (question the quality of plastic they use), so now I'll be buying a new processor.... (the bowl has never been in dishwasher) Oh how I wish I took it back and said it wasn't fit for purpose after the first batch of scones... I had higher expectations for this brand...

Fault. First Time Used.
I have just opened my newly purchased FDM 785BA Kenwood Food Processor. I bought it from Morehouse Ave, Harvey Norman in Christchurch. The spring and red lever at the base of the glass blender fell out. I tried it anyway but the blender didn't go. I will be returning it.

Worked really well, until it didn't!
The processing worked well, both blender and food processor, maybe the first 5 or 6 times I used it. Then it just died, for no reason. Still under warranty but I have to take it to a place that is an hour drive away to drop it and then pick it up again with no guarantee that they will fix it. I bought an expensive, supposedly high quality, high reputation product. It is bad enough that it broke down so soon after purchase, but the fact that they make it impossible to get it fixed under what appears to be a good warranty is outrageous.

Kenwood Processor FDM785BA - Multipro Classic. Faulty product do not buy!!!
I bought this at Farmers in NZ late last year for $320 on special. It broke after a month (used about 8 times). Farmers informed me that there is a fault with this model - the safety switch locks on after a few uses and means that you cannot use the blender at all. They have informed Kenwood that they have had over 20 people return their machines, however Kenwood have not recalled the product. I trusted Kenwood only as did many of my family and friends but I will not buy a Kenwood product again. Dissapointing from what was once a great trusted brand!

Just assembled the kenwood multipro FDM785BA and discovered a small crack on the lid where the detachable drive shaft connects. Took it back to Retravision where I was told that it is the design. All the lids are like this. Looks to be like a weak spot and I’m debating asking for a refund. Anyone else have this issue?
