To be fair, this review is written from the point of view of nut butters as this was one of two reasons for which I bought this machine, based on reviews that said it could make nut butters, not many can. Yes, it does but....
My old kitchen Wizz finally gave up after 25 years so I needed to replace it.
The new kitchen Wizz took double the time as my old one, even though the bowl is twice as big with double the blades. To clean the book suggests 'rinse' which may work when chopping vegetables but nut butters get into every nook and cranny you ...Read more
can imagine, of which the Breville kitchen wizz 8 has many! I look foward to making nut butter every time, but no more, the time spent cleaning this machine now makes it a chore and a bore. You need a toothbursh to get into all the crevices to clean properly and I will never be able to dry/clean the locking mechanisms as they simply let water in where no towel can get to which over the years will lead to a disgusting build up which I can do nothing about. Overall, I wish I could get my money back and try another machine, not looking forward to 20 years of cleaning this one.

Excellent machine
This is a replacement for our previous Breville Wizz that lasted for at least 25 years until replacement bowls were no longer available. The new one is a superior design as it is easier to clean and the motor body has no crevices to collect dirt. It shreds cabbage for sauerkraut brilliantly and is great for liquidizing soups. The plastic bowl and lid seem sturdier than the old model. I bought this with Flyby points so I am not a verified purchaser - just a happy one!

Great processor
Very happy with this machine. Shreds carrots, zucchini with ease. Huge capacity. I did 3 carrots & 3 zucchini and there was still loads of room left. Breadcrumbs with the quad blades was a breeze. Potato peeling function works surprisingly well, bit messy and you have to choose quite small potatoes but can peel up to 6 potatoes in less than 30 seconds! Instructions included are quite informative about what blade can do what function. I like it’s wide mouth for inserting food. No trouble with moisture remaining in the handle, it dissipates in a couple of hours, then I pack away.

Breville, you couldn't do much better
It comes with 5 attachments - Potato peeler, Dough blade, Quad blade, Adjustable slicer and Fine and course reversible shredder.
The Quad blade and Adjustable slicer are my favourites, which I use all the time, its great for chopping veges really quick, no more onion eyes baby!
The machine is easy to clean, we just chuck it in the dishwasher - make sure the bowl it dry before putting it away as moisture does get inside the handle.
This machine is so much better than the two Sunbeam MultiProcessor Compact LC6000 we had for a very short time - read review called "Flimsy materials and poorly designed machine :("

Product is great, works well and is used regularly
We were loathe to buy a new processor but our Braun Multi practice died after 27 years; The choice was big but this one took up less space, had a large bowl; and as we couldn't get the same brand we knew Breville were good - having had the toasted sandwich maker for a long time ( the second one). My partner thinks it is wonderful and is most impressed, it doesn't leak out the middle as the old one did, better designed! The slicer/grater is good also, surprisingly. Having the double blade in the processor bowl is excellent, no effort to process ...Read more
anything, even smaller batches. It was good value and provided what we required with no extras we would not use!. Many in the price range included a liquidiser BUT we already had this with a mixer. Easy to store, and quick to put together for use. We look forward to using it hopefully as long as our last processor lived!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

fantastic has worked well
Bought this unit around 12 months ago and it has not missed a beat. It is used regularly for bread making and the occasional grating of vegetables and fruit. So far I am very pleased with this product and commend Breville for making a reasonably priced unit that has actually lasted.

Hi wondering how you chop vegetables. Tried today on new machine and it just mushed them and all uneven . Also can someone explain the 3 speeds. Found the book to be not very helpful

If ur using the quad blade it will chop them very finely or mush them
U will need to use the other attachment ( its round )which has one adjustable blade - be very careful with it as the blade is very sharp - u can adjust ( using the nob under the disc ) how big it will slice ur veges.

Does this product dice vegetables?
Does this product peel sweet potatoes and/or carrots?
1 answer
It does dice vegetables provided you cut them into long, narrow strips. I haven't bothered with the peeler function, but I'm certain that it will not peel carrots. You need the produce to be all a similar size. Sweet potatoes are rather too long for this peeler function.
