Very elegant design - smooth handling
Stylish design, that is affordable if you are looking for a small car. Very good with sharp corners and maneuvering through traffic. Have leather seats, very comfortable. The GPS in built system has a added traffic notice feature that is very good when you want to avoid traffic. . .

Perfect Small Car with lot of punch!!
The best car so far I've had! I bought the Cerato Hatch Sports +, from Essendon Kia, They matched my price and gave me the vehicle with all the extras i wanted within a week. Unbelievable service experience I had. Better than another Kia dealership in the city. It's got the punch when accelerating with the Sports mode. I'm extremely happy with the performance so far and would recommend any one to look at the Kia brand. Would have loved a 60 liter tank, as I need to fill up twice a week due to my weekly travels of over 700 km. I'm still getting used to the Cruise control responsiveness which is little bit slow, in my opinion and previous experience.

Great value for money - Sporty and classy
The Kia Cerato drives like a sporty and classy car all in one. It handles the road well in the wet and dry conditions. Extra legroom and height for tall people. Loving the Apple car play. Makes driving a pleasure. Have found the running costs to be lower than previous cars.

Good Car but has a couple of annoying problems
I bought a 2017 Cerato Sports nearly a year ago. It handles well and has enough power. Inside is very roomy but it is low to the ground and not that easy to get in and out of for a fat old bloke. Sat Nav is not great, Parking sensors seem to turn off randomly. The most annoying thing is trying to fill it with petrol. You pull the petrol flap lever and go around to fill it to find the flap hasn't opened then you go back and do it again and this can take many attempts before it opens. I took it to the dealers to have it fixed and asked if it was ...Read more
a common problem and the bloke said he gets about one a month. So I think it must be a design flaw that has never been fixed. Anyway after waiting an hour and a half they said it was fixed but the next time my wife tried to fill up it had the same problem and in the end she gave up trying. Now to fill it up is a two person job - one person to pull the flap lever up and down and the other to bang on the flap till it opens. It's a shame these small faults spoil a good car. Would I buy another one? I don't think so. I definitely wouldn't pay the couple of grand extra for the "Sports" model - the basic model would have been good enough.Similar opinion? Nice car but still not there yet!!
The vehicle is very comfortable albeit a little low for the elderly. It handles well but a little heavy up front. Tyre rotation is important if you want to get decent mileage from your tyres. I rotate every 5000 kms and that seems to work quite well. Noise level is good, rear view reversing camera is excellent but would have been good with a bit more tech eg GPS etc. The interior is clean well appointed. Recommend a dash mat, helps reduce the exposure of the moulded instrument panel. Exterior the colour (Pearl White) is great. Easy to keep clea...Read more
n. Mags would have made the exterior near perfect but they are optional. Design is good raises some eyebrows. Running costs are good with first service not due till 15000 kms. Economy is good on longer trips, not so good around town. The 7 year extended warranty is the best in town, but beware as I understand if you don't use a genuine Kia Dealer your warranty may be void. Check that out before you buy. Overall I am very happy with the car. It is versatile in the rear with fold down split seats. Plenty of luggage room but still with 3 seats. Worth noting that head room in the rear is higher in the hatch than in the sedan. Enjoy your Kia it is good value for around $20,000 drive away.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Cerato Sport + 2018
Great value for money, bought new for $22,900. My son has a Cerato too, they are ultra reliable. The Sport + has an amazing amount of extras; motorised retractable door mirrors, rear air-con, leather seats, cooled glove box, good sat nav plus Android Auto/Apple Car Play. Fuel consumption is great, around 6l/100 km on a run. The ride and handling are sharp. Downsides (which are all mitigated by price and 7 year warranty and Road Side Assist) are; no lane departure/blind sport or adaptive cruise, normal air-con not dual climate, auto box can be a bit erratic at 1st but it has a self learning ECU so it calms down with age. The value proposition is hard to ignore as you feel you're sat in a $40k+ vehicle. Very happy with the purchase

Excellent.......except for the radio
The car is great. I bought it as I'm now commuting 100km each way to work and this seemed like a nice, comfortable small car with good fuel economy. And that's exactly how it has worked out. It's comfortable on the long drives, the auto is nice and the Android Auto is great (I picked the Sport model)
BUT the radio reception is useless. Our other two cars pick up JJJ just fine in my area, but in the Cerato I need to be much closer to the city before it's listenable at all. This is a real bummer for such a long commute.

Silky Silver
A lot of research on this car and others was undertaken before our purchase and this one ticked all the boxes. Interior roomy and seats comfortable. There is also a 7 inch audio screen. Car was taken on extensive country road trip of 1600 km soon after purchase and handled beautifully. Car is very fuel efficient.

What a treat
This Kia Cerato is an absolute pleasure to drive, sits on road very nicely. Cabin in very quiet when driving. There is nothing to dislike with the interior, high quality, everything at hand.
Seats are very very comfortable, leg room great.
Very reliable car, suppose the economy of it depends how you drive the vehicle, I have found it very economical. The seven year warranty is a security blanket.

Never regretted this decision for a moment
I want for nothing when driving this car. It has every feature I could want and much more. It is beautiful to drive, in fact I don't even feel like I am driving...the car does most of the work I just steer and stop. For the money you cannot buy a better car right now.

VERY Good car
Driving is very good but not as responsive to my mazda3. The price was excellent but to achieve it I had to haggle with the salesperson. I don’t like that the basic model has no automatic window opener, finger needs to be on button continually for it to work. Also has no navigation but very happy overall. Petrol usage is very reasonable and very reliable car. Running costs are capped but not happy with the service dealer because of little space in waiting room, so I will be going to another dealer. Overall I am very happy with my KIA CERATO 6 SPD auto 5 door hatch, I recommend buying it.

Good little car with lots of space
I have been driving since May. So far I haven't had any problems. Compare with other similar size cars, the boot is more spacious, I put my baby's pram and still enought space for grocery bags. Also the boot is not high, good for mums with prams. And gotta love 7 year warranty!

Zippy,Well Appointed and Value for Money
The Kia Cerato Sports tips all the boxes for a small car with plenty of expectations. From the time you sit yourself in the car you get the feeling that this car is something special.Once you kick the car over you can select ECO,NORMAL or SPORTS to combine with the 6 speed auto shift for city or country driving. The performance is good averaging about 7.4ltr to 100 klms. The handling is very good on the country roads and with plenty of legroom the car is a delight to drive.Kia give a 7 year warranty,7 year fixed price servicing and 7 year roadside assist which is comforting. All in all this vehicle is value for money plus.

Really great choice
I was in the market for a car. I thought about buying a second hand VW but after seeing some quite negative reviews online around their reliability and cost to repair I considered other models. I narrowed the selection to a Hyundai i30, Mazda 3 and Kia Cerato.
I went with the Kia Cerato because of the shape (had a bit of a European look to it), 7 year warranty, road side assist and fixed maintenance. I suspect the fixed maintenance schedule is in the dealership's favour but I don't know much about cars. I didn't like the 2017 i30 shape and ...Read more
the Mazda 3 was going to cost quite a bit more. I have had the care for nearly 9 months and so far everything has been great. It is enjoyable to drive. I would definitely recommend it to others.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

For a small car it has amazing room in the front driver and passenger area.
Having driven Toyota Aurion's as company cars for the past 12 years when I was on the road as a full time sales representative, I am now more office bound in management and don't need a big car. My boss bought me a Kia Cerato five months ago. When I first saw it from the outside, I wondered how I was going to fit my 195cm frame into it. Was I ever surprised when I got into it. This car has as much room in the front driver and passenger area as the Aurion. The back seating area and boot area are considerably smaller but I don't have to sit in th...Read more
e back seats and the boot is big enough for my needs. The handling is very good, automatic transmission is smooth and the instruments are excellent. One of the issue I have with it is the cruise control which, when operational, slows down on slight rises and speeds up too much when going down hill. The Toyota's cruise control is much better at keeping to the set speed. The other issue I have, which the Kia service manager advised cannot be changed, is that the air conditioner is always on when I first start the car. Great in summer but not needed in winter. I should choose when the air conditioner is switched on. Apart from those two issues I am very happy with the Cerato.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Rented to go to the Grampians was great
I rented this car to go to the grampians on my vacation. Good performance. I drove up the mountains on steep curves and roads with sometimes branches fallen.
No issues at all.
The weather conditions were not great, it was raining all the time and foggy but the car performed well.

Very Economical
Not only the 7 year warranty which impressed me but the handling and fuel-efficiency is a good addition. In touch screen very easy to use and has the small luxuries of a higher priced car with reverse camera. Legroom is sufficient and boot is quite large for a hatch. Very happy with the purchase.

Liked it so much, we bought 2 more!
We compared the Cerato with the Mazda3 and Hyundai i30. The Cerato won hands down on value for money, front and rear space, features, warranty, pretty much everything.
We went for the 6 speed manual which is a smooth and well geared transmission. Fuel economy is outstanding, and it has a great turning circle. We liked the fact that even the base S has front and rear parking sensors and is easy to park.
Audio is great and the bluetooth phone is clear at both ends of the call.
Fixed price servicing for 7 years means we can budget ahead for the...Read more

Rough idle/engine noise
Have had my Kia cerato 1.8 auto for just over a year with 26,000Kms on the clock. It's been a fantastic little car for the money but has developed a rough idle at times and fairly loud engine noise when cold(Perhaps Tappets/timing chain).Yet to be determined by dealer.Im happy with the way it drives, how roomy it is and the fuel economy I get(Around 7.4 mixed driving). It seams the noise is a common issue with this car?Other than the engine issues I can't fault the car for the money $17,000.The warranty appeals to me also.
