Hi K4T, I'm not sure about this year model. I know the sl model which came out from I think 2010 was a big improvement on the previous model. If you can stretch your budget I would be looking at the newer model. Apparently the base model is very good.

I don't think it would hurt to have the timing chain by a trained qualified professionals

The timeingchain can last long km, depending of your driving.

you'll hear rattling noise when it is time to change. Take it ti a mechanic as soon as you hear it and they'll know how much longer you can drive before changing it. I had mine changed at 149k km

No, most models are front wheel drive ( the 2 liter petrol) but the v6 are all wheel drive (4x4).and the 2 liter diesel is 4x4.....v6 is heavy on petrol, not recomended

If its the 2liter petrol front wheel drive they are good on petrol for the size of the car but the v6 is very heavy on petrol. From 2009 till now not even one problem, just normal service, tyres second set and just done the brake pads....the car got 160 000km..... Next upgrade im going kia again.

My one is diesel and the towbar is 1500kg towing capacity....but am towing 2000kg tandem trailer without problem...(full load)
