I have a platinum diesel sportage that we picked up 6 months ago. The Bluetooth is shocking. While playing my music it skips every 8 minutes. I have an I phone 4, my daughter has an I phone5 and it does it to her as well. My daughter has a Mitsubishi ASX and I or my girl don't have the same problem in it. My dealer keeps blaming my phone? Dose anyone out there have the some problem or a solution ? Kate

I have heard that the Bluetooth receiver in the GPS models isn't particularly great for audio quality, but it should still be usable. Ours is the non-GPS version and we have no complaints. If its happening with multiple devices its probably safe to say that it's not your phones. I would seek a warranty repair through the dealer.

Turn off your Bluetooth on your phone, go to your car and remove all devices from your settings memory,
Turn your Bluetooth on your phone back on, re-find your phone in the car settings memory.
If this doesn't work contact Kia direct, they are very helpful.
Don't forget your dealers opinion is often only as good as the one persons personal knowledge, as you are actually only speaking to that one person, not the dealership or Kia as a company.

Since having car serviced it has had problems where car won't start. Any suggestions what can be done to rectify this?

I don't have a Sportage, but we had problems with our Mazda 6. We'd parked on a slight slope, and it wouldn't start. It turned out that you have to have your foot on the brake before you try to start it.
Check the brake switch is working you can do this by seeing if you have break lights when you try and start car my shortage had that problem and only after 3 weeks in workshop did they realise the problem . Faulty break switch hope this helps

My 2011 kia sportage will sometimes hesitate with the throttle and then seem to accelerate to fast, seems to do this after its been setting,not when driving steady

Check your floor mat isn't fouling the accelerator peddle, otherwise get your dealer to check it out. Good luck.

Thanks for the info,the floor mat was removed and we told the dealer and he claims its a new design and is working ok,so that why i am on here to gather any info i can find to take back to Kia
it could be a little bit of turbo lag combined with too much throttle,that being when you depress the accelerator and nothing happens you push a little more at this stage the turbo is in motion and tries to accelerate the car too hard because of the throttle setting causing you to back off
