WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
In September 2016 I purchased a Baby Jasper. Almost immediately the fabric showed signs of wear. It was also very uncomfortable. After much debate with King, a store credit for 75% of price was given to me. I was not happy with this, but reluctantly accepted this. I wish I had looked into my consumer rights at this point. fer a refund of the price of 1 chair, but if someone sits on a chair, and it breaks fully, and they hurt themselves, what then??? They are so difficult to deal with, and will not give an inch. Please do not buy anything from them. All that slick advertising is worth nothing when you complain. King seem to think that everything is a minor problem. However, when you are using (or not using) the product, it seems to be very major to me. I am still considering my options, and will take further action.1 comment

Horrible support
Not surprised this is a discontinued product. I’ve had mine for 3 years and we have never been happy with it. There is zero back support with this lounge and I am suffering terrible back pain because of sitting on it every night. What a waste of money.

Versatile design
We bought this 4 years ago and it is still going strong. The fabric needs a bit of spot cleaning, but the cushions have kept their shape. The versatility in its design is amazing. We have moved house twice since its purchase and the design has made it a breeze to move. The number of possible configurations is amazing to suit the space and surroundings.

Dreadful quality
I purchased a baby jasper 4 years ago with the expectation that it would sustain the test of time. Unfortunately, the fabric has faded (it's never been in direct sunlight) and pilled to the point it looks so old and shabby that it warrants chucking out. The cushions on the seats have become misshapen and you feel like you are going to slide off the sofa each time you sit down. The back cushions have not maintained shape AT ALL. They look awful. synonymous with quality when I got this sofa - now I think it rubbish produced cheaply in China. I have advised many friends to avoid king sofas. King have suggested I purchase new covers but that would fix only part of the problem and I really shouldn't need to replace the fabric this soon.2 comments

heck with the manager. When I said that I should be paying anything for faulty and poor quality sofas they said they would check with their manager and get back to me. They requested that I send photos. I said I was happy to but asked that they send me the email address they would like me to send them to. They said they would. I bought a baby jasper just over a years ago. it looked great and comfortable for maybe 1-2months. we dont really spend that much time on the couch, but the fabric started having lots of fabric balls like a cheap quality bed sheets. i got a fabric ball cutting machine and it helped to get some off, but still very uncomfortable when in contact with skin. Uncomfortable and overpriced
The unique stuffing just doesn't work - loses shape with no support. Had bases replaced once but exactly the same with no further follow up from King. A very poor choice made in reputation. Have now ordered new leather lounge elsewhere and will give the baby jasper away.

Beautiful baby jasper
We purchased a baby jasper lounge 2 1/2 years ago and I can honestly say, I would have pulled out 2 feathers in that time.
We love that lounge. Love the king cord material, easy, throw the covers in the wash and you're ready to sit back on a fresh and comfy lounge.

Overpriced poor quality sofa
I bought the Baby Jasper 5 months ago. I have to say customer service was great. However, I cannot say the same with the actual product. Just within 2 weeks, I started noticing sharp things going out from the cushions. I found out they were the feathers filling the cushion. Everyday I find at least 1 feather sticking out which needed be pulled out. The end result of this is cushion not being comfortable anymore. For $3000 sofa, I expect a better quality than this. I also purchased a large rug with the sofa. Unfortunately this actually caused more pain. The wools constantly getting pulled out just by stepping on the rug. I think I have vacuumed $200 worth of wools ever since I purchased it. Will never purchase from them again.

Disappointed with my baby Jasper
It seems from reading the reviews here that at best, the Jasper product is 'inconsistent'. I have a baby Jasper and like others on this forum, I'm unhappy with the quality of the cushions. The feathers become compacted very quickly (i.e., a couple of days of light usage) and the couch becomes uncomfortable. In fact, it makes my back hurt to sit on it for too long. So unless you want to fluff up the cushions every day - you have to take them off completely and they are large and cumbersome, so it's not a particularly easy job - I'd say steer cle...Read more

Beyond Disappointed With My Baby Jasper
My baby jasper is less than 2 months old and looks like it's been abused and not taken care of for years. The seat is absolutely shocking and looks as if I purchased a second hand model. The couch has looked like this since the day it was delivered. The display baby jasper in the King store is in better shape than my brand new couch. King sent an external technician to look at the couch 3 weeks ago and tell me they won't do anything until they get the report. Still waiting for king to respond to me. Extremely disappointed and unimpressed with the quality and the service for how much I paid.

Love The Lounge But The Attached Shelving ....
We have had the Jasper for over 3 years now. I am very disappointed with the side shelving. When considering the price one pays for the lounge you would think it is made from solid timber but it's actually a chipboard like timber and the spigots have come off and can't be put back on. I rang King to find out the cost of replacing and it's $500 each. I have 4 to replace that's $2,000 very pricey! Personally, this feature is a defect

Underwhelmed
We purchased a leather baby jasper. We also purchased four cushions. The cushions were a complete waste of money - for close to $1000 there was next to no filling and we really would have been better served going to ikea than waiting months for the sub-standard cushions to arrive.
The couch itself if OK. That said, the wooden armrests are very hard to align properly. These points might not seem like much, however, for the price you're paying you really want an awesome experience.
For the price they should send an after sales consultant to your house to ensure everything is set up correctly and demonstrate how to use the bed (which we haven't figured out how to use).

are absurd! I recently received a king jasper 1a and could not be happier. I had no problem in working out how to swap two brackets to convert my chaise into a bed. I guess I paid attention to the demonstration that I received instore from the sales consultant. My couch is to the same standard and quality of the demonstrator couches instore. I conducted a great deal of research prior to purchase and in my opinion, believe king furniture respresent good value. I also have a leather king dream which gets daily use with young kids. 12 months later it is as good as the day we bought it. As you said, perhaps you should have gone to ikea and saved a few dollars. They sell chairs and couches for a lot less. I guess its like going to a mercedes dealership and then staring that holden sell better cars cheaper! Baby Jaspar….Big disaster
the sofa delivered was not the same quality as the one in the showroom especially with the quality of the filling in the cushions. When I went back to the showroom, I was told they couldn't unzip the cushion cover to show me what filling was in the floor room sofa. I was totally white washed. I am extremely disappointed and will never again buy from King.

Absolute Rip Off!
We purchased a baby jasper lounge less than 6 months ago and could not be more disappointed. As others have mentioned the cushions have become saggy, offering no support which is an issue as my partner had back problems. I am constantly pulling feathers out of the cushions, and shaving the pilling off the cheap fabric. I have voiced my concerns to King Furniture but have received no response. I purchased this couch for my first home thinking it was a good investment, but boy was I wrong, at this rate I imagine I will need to replace my couch in less than 2 years... thank you very much King Furniture!

Amazing!
We bought a baby Jaspar and it's without a doubt one of the best things i've ever bought. It was more expensive than most other couches we looked at, but it is by far the comfiest, and looks the best, too. The leather choices and colours were great. The staff in the Richmond store were fantastic. We haven't used it as a bed/2 single beds yet, but when we do, we are sure they'll be so comfy. We are absolutely thrilled with it. I can't stop staring at it, it's so nice!

Outstanding Quality Product
I can't speak highly enough of the King Furniture products. I recently went there to buy another sofa, Baby Jasper this time, to add to the Delta I bought ten years ago. The sofas are steel-sprung, so never sag, and hold their shape amazingly well.
I've always been happy with the shop service, but I have to say the behind the scenes admin staff could be a little more efficient with returning calls promptly and with liasing with the delivery department without asking the customer to do this.
Having said that, I would never buy a quality sofa anywhere else, and recommend King highly, especially as they now have a King Care division, which looks after cleaning and fabric protection application whenever your sofa needs it.

Very disappointed for the price we paid
We paid over $9000 for our Baby Jasper in True Touch leather for two long couches, an extra cushion and one single couch. We've had this since early October 2012 and have been persevering with this but ultimately are disappointed with our purchase.
While the leather and colour is lovely the foam the seats are made and the design of the cushions are poorly designed and/or made. Our much cheaper couch we had for 12 years didnt look this bad after 12 years.

spring back and looks sunken and the leather is "loose" against it when she gets up from it. It needs pumping up each time to get it looking nice again. It's as if the incorrect foam was placed inside the cushion. The back cushion is even worse with the sinking looking awful from the front and the supporting roll at the back where the leather is permanently creased. No amount of pumping corrects it. We purchased this with a view also to use these as a bed for rare occasions friends sleep over but the supposedly removable arm/backs are really hard to pull out to put the bed brackets in. We purchased our baby jasper from king furniture around 2 years ago. We chose viva leather in spice (a gorgeous warm cream/beige) and wenge wood. The leather has since aged beautifully, softening and gained a bit of a shine. The sofa itself is comfortable, I lounge in it for hours (for reference, I am 46kg and 160cm tall). Cant live with it
Our baby jasper arrived two weeks ago and had a strong chemical smell. We have not been able to sit on it due to stinging eyes and a tight feeling in the chest, and so have had to send it back for inspection. Otherwise it looks great. As for comfort i am happy to be back on my old couch that is 12 yrs old. The feather backing on the baby jasper is not comfortable or soft.
Overall i am not happy with the baby jasper. If your looking for lounging couch for two maybe not this couch.
The staff at the chatswood store have been amazing in trying to resolve the chemical smells for us. Fingers crossed
The fabric i choose was sorrento shell and its a beautiful colour.

p from the couch there would be a large sunken in mark where I sat. You have to fluff it up after you sit every time for a decent looking couch. Even when you fluff sometimes too much of the feather goes to one side so you have to keep fluffing. Gets annoying if you just want to enjoy your couch without constantly fluffing it.
