Caring customer service.
In times when things are rather strange I can only say how wonderful king livings customer service can be.
After having some initial (and understandable) issues with getting in to King to view their extensive furniture catalogue I was called by their Australian head of sales and provided a personal valet by their NSW State Manaager in store.
We browsed and bought and felt like nothing was too hard.
Thank you King Living. Perfect.

Surprised to see negative comments
Purchased my Jasper 10 years ago. Didn't get the extra expensive leather, just standard. I have 2 dogs & 2 cats & sofa still looks great. Wondering if we are only seeing the negative comments & there's 1000's of happy customers out there?

Never again!! Received incomplete Sofa and had very terrible after sale service!!
Just received BRAND NEW Jasper sofa on 6 of Dec 2022. However, the chaise is sagged so badly, and super soft! We have been told the memory foam is long lasting and does not lose it shape When we purchase the Sofa...We contact customer service on Jan 2020 and half month later, they sent a technician come to check and said the BRAND NEW SOFA IS AN INCOMPLETE ITEAM that they forget to put dome into the sofa. They let us to wait for the dome and said we are expect to receive it by middle of March.

Nice couch but susceptible to wear and tear.
Love the look and feel of our Jasper modular sofa, but do regret buying the expensive Italian made Prestige leather given the wear it has noticeably endured since arriving at our house in mid 2022. Two cushions already have had saddle coloured leather lifted off the seat cushions and the replacement costs to have them re-covered is $500 for the smaller seat cushions. I wouldn’t recommend buying this if you have young kids and want the leather to last.

Never again
Nice Lounge and stain resistant, however after spending $7,000.00 and after 4 1/2 years old, the springs have gone on 1 cushion. After speaking to King, they advised not covered under warranty, so I need to replace seat. Still awaiting quote but I know this will not be cheap. If I had bought this lounge from Fantastic Furniture or bought a $2,000.00 lounge I could accept that I may need to buy a new lounge. We do not have young children and there is only 2 of us using the lounge. Would have not expected to have this issue after spending this much money and particularly knowing it was from King Furniture.

Honestly one of the best purchases I have EVER made
Bought a King Lounge because so many people I know have had them for 10years+. Let me tell you it is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Not only does it look incredible, but it’s so comfortable to sit on, even if you suffer from chronic back pain like me. I often fall asleep on it for the duration of the night. Fluffing up isn’t too bad and it feels brand new again every time you do it.

but I think this lounge is worthy of one because it’s phenomenal. And we should be supporting great Aussie companies. I would like to shout out to Maria from the Annandale store who provided us with world class service. She knew that I did not have a flare for design and was a bit nervous in making such a big purchase. So she took the reigns, examined my property/colours, then helped me make decisions very easily and comfortably. If she didn’t think something looked good, she wouldn’t hesitate in shutting it down (gently). I absolutely loved this about Maria and it gave me a lot of confidence about my purchase. All in all, this Jasper lounge has gotten 2 more of my friends to want to immediately buy one. I was lucky enough to get it on sale though it’s still more expensive than most other lounges. Trust and believe that it is worth the money. As the centrepiece of our home, everyone who comes over fights for the chaise and compliments us. Just to clarify - I am not in anyway a secret King Furniture employee nor am I being incentivised in any way for this review. I just know that when I love something this much, I want to evangelise it and ensure people share in the joy.Purchased in October 2021 at King Living NSW, Annandale for A$4,999.00.

Fabulous sofa!
I bought a King Living Jasper 1A package in cord material over 12.5 years ago. It's been a brilliant sofa and still looks new, although faded a bit with sun over the years which is to be expected. I'm really surprised at the negative comments. The cushions haven't sagged and no pilling. I'm selling my house at present and the only reason I'm replacing it is that the real estate agents suggested moving half of it outside to the back deck, to make the living area look bigger. y, insurance paid out and I've gone back and bought another Jasper II - 1A. I could have chosen another sofa but was so happy with the first one, why change. I still love the look of it, it hasn't dated. I really hope the new one is the same as the old one in quality as I couldn't be happier with the old model. The sales support at Fortitude Valley was amazing (thanks Ben, Dan and Richard :-)), really great service and I ended up buying an additional chair, ottoman and rug to go with it. Order time was better than expected. I've bought other items from King Living over the years and all have been great! Tried and tested!
I just wanted to put a review out there for those looking at the Jasper, I have had lots of different couches over the years and the one that my family and I loved the most was a brown cord Jasper, at least 15 years old and other than the colour being dated it was still in good condition. We have just sold it with a holiday property but if you can handle the back cushions slouching a bit, it is a winner. It has been the most comfy of all the couches so much I have just reordered another one. I'd recommend darker fabric for family use and I have found the after sales customer support brilliant.

Great Product but very Poor After Sales Service
Received our Jasper lounge after a long wait, however, one of the shelves were damaged. Replacement was organised a fortnight after, but wrong replacement was sent. We were told that another replacement will be organised..did not hear anything so we called them a few days later. Sounds like the driver did not tell the after sales team as they only organised for a replacement when we called them. Overall we had a great sales experience when purchasing from Chatswood, product is great, but just very disappointed with the after sales service, who does not seem interested in service recovery.

Falling apart after 2 years (after 6 months there was already issues)
This lounge has been the most disappointing purchase. Spent over 11k, having the service guys out after 6 months. It is only two years old and now out of warranty - we are having to glue it back together ourselves. We followed the guidelines about keeping feather lounges and it still has looked horrible and like it is 10 years old. The expected upkeep is also ridiculous, something they dont mention until after you have bought it. Takes about 2 hours every week to shift them around, fluff up etc. Please do not waste your money and choose carefully.

So disappointed
I wish I had read the reviews before buying. 2 adults who work full time so not heavily used. I rotate all seating, cushions and chaise weekly so for 3 years all looked fine but now the chaise has sagged so badly it is most uncomfortable. On contacting King I am told I need to pay $120 for someone to inspect and advise the repair costs. Seriously!! My last lounge was 10 years old and passed on to someone else as it was quite good. The frame may have a lifetime warranty, but the rest comes at a cost. Don't be fooled. I can not recommend the Jasper

Wish I read all of the online comments prior to purchasing
We have had our lounge for a couple years and I'm looking at replacing it already. Almost immediately the cushions saged and it looked very old and worn (even with plumping daily). To be honest who has the time to plump their lounge cushions every day, it is quite frustrating. I wonder if they were filled with more filling if they would hold their shape more? The side shelfing (we got black) is also looking very worn. I am shocked because the price we paid doesnt reflect the quality you'd expect. I loved the look and design of the lounge however the quality and function does not fit our needs, wished I researched more and read other comments made about the lounge.

Pilling Fabric Within The First 6 Months
We spent over $9,000 on a Jasper II with chaise covered in Palm Beach Whitewash fabric, already pilling in the first six months. Definitely did not expect this to happen given the price point and celebrity endorsement. Waiting for Customer Service to reply to my email and photo. My best advice, don't do it.....not worth the money!!

Not very nice after a couple of years
I never thought it was a very comfortable lounge, except to lie right down on. After 3 years I’m over it, the back cushions are always moving to the wrong place and look floppy.
The seat cushions sag. Overall it looks untidy unless you spend time sorting it all out.
My last lounge lasted a lot longer and looked better before I got rid of it.
If it didn’t cost as much as it did, I’d have gotten rid of it before.

Cannot find a flaw
We bought a Jasper in 2012 or so, and 6 years down, it still looks fantastic!
We have a double in leather with feather cushions that turns into a bed. (Creamish white with Congo timber)
We maintain leather cleaning and conditioning, and it looks and feels fantastic. We get a lot of compliments for it.
Advantages of Jasper:

Allergy suffers - do not buy
We purchased our Jasper 13 + Chair T104 in 2014. The fabric, which has stood up really well over time and is easy to spot clean and the feather cushions are very comfortable. After purchasing the couch I started getting terrible allergies every time I walked into the house. We eventually worked out it was an allergy to THE JASPER couch feathers and possibly the King Guard. After spending over $6,000 we couldn't bring ourselves to get rid of the couch, we looked into having it re-upholstered in leather for an added barrier and to stop the feathe...Read more
rs poking through the fabric. We were quoted over $9,000 + $250 installation to have this done! We couldn't believe it. We could purchase the whole couch in leather NEW for this price. The customer service and after-care in the Nedlands store has never been great from the time of purchase to-date, and representatives weren't very helpful in offering any other solutions (such as different inserts). The back cushions are out of shape and take a lot of encouragement to get back to normal and the wooden shelving chips easily. It's been nearly 2yrs since we started investigating our options and my allergies are still really bad whenever I lounge on the couch for prolonged periods. DO YOUR RESEARCH before you spend the money. If you have allergies DO NOT purchase this couch with feather inserts.Purchased in June 2021.

Waste of money
I have owned a King Furniture Jasper lounge for several years now and absolutely hate it. The back support cushions have lost their shape and my couch looks terrible, the cord fabric has also become very worn and stiff over time. When I complained to king furniture the advice I was given was to throw the back cushion on the floor several times to get it back into shape. In reality I would need to do this everyday. Also I am constantly picking up feathers that keep popping out of the cushions. Never ever again will I purchase another lounge from King Furniture.

The trusted name can’t be trusted
I bought the Jasper II and got delivered on 23 Oct to my new unit. Delivery isn’t perfect as they didn’t show us how to as some reviews mentioned. Also, they didn’t mention missing items - 2 bed brackets and the magic joiner. I asked for the bed bracket when couldn’t see it any where, they just ask me to ring the office. Later on I find out that there is no magic joiner put in either. These items were out of stocks, we should be notified ahead instead of dealing in this manner.

arts which I am surprise of the poor quality. They put one shelf up & the other low, There is no bracket put on so I wonder if this is properly assembled. It is only 3 weeks since delivery and the shelf didn’t last, this should be fixed or replaced at no cost, also they need to send someone to show us how to put the magic joiner and other assemble tips. Hi Lee-Ann,
Magic Joiners are magnetic and are connected to the metal frame beneath your sofa. You should be able to reach underneath and feel these along the join of two seat bases, and then un-clip them so you can rearrange the components. If you cannot reach them underneath, if you have two people and should both be able to pull one of the seat bases in opposite directions, and they should un-clip on their own. Yes, they are quite firm magnets (designed so that your sofa bases don't slide apart!) so you will need to use some force to remove them, as with any strong magnets. Please let us know if you are still having trouble.

i would like to know if there is anything being done about the material and the veneer wearing and aging sooner rather than later.
We are trying to decide to invest in a quality product like this but the problems expressed here are quite concerning considering the amount to money to purchase this product?

I'm happy with the material, I've had to touch up the vaneer after we didn't use coasters initially. If the back cushions held their shape better and we didn't still get feathers poking out of the fabric I'd still love the lounge. It's super comfortable but it doesn't look great, it looked old and worn after a couple weeks
King Furniture sent me a fabric de-pilling tool, and said pilling is normal to be expected, but they don't tell you that before you part with your money.

Hi Rachael,
Thanks for your message. Timber veneer is a product which does require care to ensure it says looking fresh and new. We recommend always using coasters, as any liquids spilt may cause bubbling / peeling if they get under the veneer surface. If placed in direct sun, veneer will fade, and can also be susceptible to peeling at the edges. It is important to be aware that these are natural occurrences, and taking care of your furniture and where it is placed in your home can help to minimise and prevent these from happening.
Similarly, some fabrics are susceptible to pilling, depending on use. We do recommend using a de-piller if this occurs, and this will have your sofa looking fresh again.
