Amazing vacuum cleaner, astoundingly great value and well built
After struggling with a variety of vacuum cleaners over the years, from the top dollar Dysons to the cheap Shark brand, I have had nothing but frustration and aggravation with them. From filters that need changing every 20 minutes, to cheaply built accessories, hoses that are too short, parts that break, and poorly thought designs that defy logical use in any household other than a child free, dog free, sterile "ikea" designed show home.
I bought the Kirby G7 Ultimate Diamond series second hand and was struck by how well it was made. I hoppe...Read more
d onto youtube and watched some videos on how to use it, then hopped on ebay to buy some replacement belts and bags. I downloaded a manual from the company website, surprisingly easy, as often finding a product manual is either impossible or only available for sale on ebay. Using the vacuum is pretty easy, it comes with an assist like drive, sort of moves itself with you steering it. I found the suction to be very good, it also comes with a two speed suction, like a "half strength" and "full strength" Needless to say, I really like the vacuum, I might even enjoy cleaning again! I will miss using the pull along style vacuums, as I find then easier to get under beds and couches, but considering the aggravation involved in using them, I will have to get used to an upright style. I have no idea why it has a headlight, mesmerizes the dog though which is funny. The cleaner came with heaps of attachments which look pretty well made. It came with a carpet cleaner attachment, a floor polisher, as well as various brushes. Although I don't really use attachments, for kicks one day I might see how they go. Top Tips: If you buy secondhand, install a new belt,(around $5.00) really easy to do and help the vacuum perform really well. Read the manual... lots of info. Don't pay too much!Similar opinion?
