Just been given Kmart air fryer. Having trouble separating basket from base. Is it meant to separate?

Hi Trish .. yes the basket separates from the base. You are no holding your tongue right!! Ha ha
Press the "button" at the base of the handle then lift up. I do agree it's a tad tricky, but once you've done it a few times, you know how to do it. Have you been on the Share Kmart Air Fryer Recipes Australia Facebook? Apply to join. Loads of recipes, tips, hints, and ideas.

JUst been given the air fryer. Having trouble removing basket from base. Is it supposed to separate?
the answer to my question is just another question from someone else - please don't email me saying there is an answer when clearly there is not - i have had no satisfaction with my question so will return it to the store for a replacement

Not sure what you mean by 8 inch. The basket is 20cm but if you want to use a pan in it you will need to find one about 19cm. Havent found one yet.

Can you use raw potato or packet oven fry chips

You can do either but if they are raw potatoes chip them, then wash and dry them. Pre heat fryer and add chips with a tablespoon of oil. Shake half way. With frozen chip just cook and shake them half way. No oil needed.
