My vacuum stopped working all of a sudden, it turns on for a brief 5 seconds and turns off. It also has a red flashing light on the battery pack. Please advise what to do?

If it is under warranty (usually has 1year warranty) take it back to Kmart, they will replace it. Or refund you the money. They usually ask for its receipt, but even if you don't have receipt, they should change it because it's there home brands. Hope this helps.
Sounds like a battery problem. Once my vaccum is charged I take it off charge and when I use it I make sure to drain the battery so I can fully charge it again. I hope this helps.

Hi,
We have one of these things and has a issue.
The machine turns on then turns off again. Has yellowish light on the side of the battery.
When on charge no light at all
Any ideas?

Sounds like either your charger or battery has failed. Could also be dirty or corroded contacts preventing proper charging. Make sure the charger plug is seated all the way in the socket and also not loose. Try twisting the plug inside the socket to establish better contact. According to Dyson V6 Stick vac support.....A solid amber light indicates that the battery is not charging due to a temporary fault (e.g. too hot/cold). If this fails time for a new one. But go for one of the new Dysons this time. Chalk and cheese. The VC101 pales into insignificance compared with a real Dyson Vac Stick. Good luck!

Hi there,
I need to purchase a replacement recharging cord for the Anko VC101 vac stick as I have misplaced the old one. Do you know the specifications of this ie what exact type of cord as I do know that there are too many different types with different charging volts and plug types to guess.

Turn the head over. There is a cover you silde off at the end of the brush and then you can pull out the brush
Thank you

I have cleaned the filter emptied it removed hair from roller & charged it but it only works for a minute before battery light starts flashing then it spits out what I have just picked up

You havent stated how old the vac is nor how many times you have used it. Either your charger or battery has failed. The battery only lasts 1 to 2 years depending on frequency and number of uses and number of recharges. NB: Charge battery for at least 5 hours. The slightly older Dyson hand sticks suffer a similar fate. If its still under warranty take it back if you still have the receipt. Otherwise I think its time to throw it away. This is a cheap stick vac and nothing more. Dont expect much from it. Kmart staff have informed me they get lots of returns with these.
It is 18 months old. & I only use it once a week or every two eeeks

Why is my anko stick vacuum cleaner pulsing?
1 answer
When was the last time you pulled it it all apart completely and thoroughly cleaned out the filters in the dust chamber and also removed all the hair and dust around the turbo brush in the vacuum head? Also check that dust or hair is not obstructing movement of the one-way valve at the entrance to the dust chamber.

Hi,
I have charged battery and cleaned all filters etc but the rotary brush head will not rotate on my model. It is not due to the length of carpet-it doesn't workk on the tiles either!
Please help.
Thanks
1 answer
You need to remove the brush completely from the vacuum head and give absolutely everything a thorough clean. Check there are no hairs wrapped around the ends of the brush or where is connects in the vacuum head.

Hi dears,
May I know if I could remove the battery from the vacuum and charge it outside by itself? Regard
1 answer
Yes you can, Just press the battery release button on the bottom, and the battery will slide out.The charger still plugs into the side of the battery when it's been removed.
I bought a spare battery so I can keep using the unit if the first battery dies.
I got the spare battery from here---

I’m not too sure where, but do you have a portable jumpstart for your car? I’ve tried the charger to that and it works!
