Can't believe how frequently I use it
Purposely went out late at night to purchase this waffle maker when I had a yen for something sweet. It's 30 years since I'd had a waffle and had never personally cooked them but knew I hated the store bought ones. This waffle maker as is to easy use, easy to store and now gets used 2-3 times a month. I've had it for just over 6 months. Because the recipes in the booklet are useless I ended up having to do heaps of research on recipes. This waffle maker is a "Belgium Waffle Maker" not an "American Waffle Maker". n the size of the holes. The holes in the Belgium waffles are larger than American waffles. I found a fabulous recipe using yeast and have checked out the various recipes - a few differences but mostly minor. The trick I found to the perfect recipe was making sure the batter is just a little bit heavier than a pancake batter, some of the recipes are too stiff. So back to the waffle maker - the cooked colour is pretty even though I've noticed that the bottom is slightly darker and more even - I guess to be expected with this very inexpensive item. What I would love by way of innovation is an inbuilt timer - not to change the temperature but so that I don't have to use a digital timer (none of the waffle makers I've seen have a timer). If you want my recipe let me know.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I bought a Aklo waffle maker from Kmart. There was no instruction manual. Usually one would get instructions on how to use, how to clean and recipes. I am unsure why this was not supplied. How do I get a copy of this? I don’t want to null and void the warranty. Many thanks, Kathy.

Hi Kathy. I believe KMART has the instructions online for download via PDF. if not their online customer service is pretty good for instructions. (Just type the prouduct name into google and you'll get the item up.) I know I scanned the instructions and kept them but there is no facility for me to upload them to Product Review. I'm traveling at the moment but if you can't locate post another message. cheers trish
Kmart customer service photocopied the manual for me this morning. Thankyou for following this up for me. All good.
