Well just broke deck belt #4 I have 69 hrs on mower now not quite 2 yrs old been to dealer after 2nd belt broke. the first I replaced myself thinking along with dealer that belt could have been damaged during assembly only 5 hrs then. 2nd belt broke after 11 more hrs. brought to dealer replaced belt dealer ran mower and cut grass for an hour seemed to be ok 15 more hrs another broken belt . Went back to dealer dealer opened case with Kubota there were no recalls. Tech checked everything out could not find anything every thing looked aligned but he did take a idler arm off of new mower they had in stock to compare and my idler arm was not bent as much as the new one so he replaced with new idler arm. Have 25 more hours and belt broke this afternoon. Headed to dealer tomorrow there has to be something causing this my yard is about 1 acre I mow weekly. Never have had any amount of debris to build up on deck because in reading complaints I check and double check deck keeping it clean. Any ideas anyone HELP

So it started out like this: Mower would crank right up then just die after a few swipes across the lawn. Would usually restart right away and be fine. Then got to where it'd crank right up but die before could even back out of the garage. Would restart after sitting a while. Now it won't start at all. Checked all the fuses and safety stuff. Installed a new battery-checked all the wiring connections,,,,still won't crank. Just get the "click" noise when turn the key to crank it. Anybody else experienced this and figured out the solution?

Thanks-Tommy

Mine is 2 years old and has progressively needed less and less choke. It doesnt require any choke in warmer weather and not much in cold. I think choke needs adjusting on mine. You may have a similar problem. Can you smell petrol? If so try no choke.

My new 125s just started doing this same thing. 14 hours on it. Grass is slowing down so has my mowing. Once every 2 weeks now and it's already getting to where itll spin over for what seems like forever before itll bust off. Started smelling the fuel yesterday as I was spinning it over so I backed the choke off to give it some air but it still took forever to finally start. When it did, it ran fine all day but this is too new of a mower to be having hard start issues for only sitting 2 weeks.

What causes the blades to shut off automatic when your in the process of mowing?

G'Day Sherry.
A bit more information would be helpful. What do you have to do to get "The Blades" going again ? What are you doing when the "Blades shut off automatic" ? If your electric deck drive clutch is disengaging there may be a faulty or damaged wiring connection or a faulty clutch.
If the blades are not overloaded, the problem might be a faulty, or out of adjustment Lock Out Switch. Check lockout sequences in your Operators Manual to narrow the search down.
Hope this helps.
Cheers. Trev.

Thank you for your answer,I will check the wiring connection and see if that helps. The dealer said it could be a faulty switch too.

We have had numerous times with the drive belt breaking. Just wondering if anyone has had kubota to buy lawnmower back due to numerous problems?

There must be a very simple reason why your belt is breaking.
Any good mechanic should be able to spot the problem. Belts don't just break for no reason.
I would not expect my Local Agent to buy my mower back if this simple ongoing problem could be avoided.
You do not mention your other problems. Find out if someone else is having belt problems.
Mine has only done 4 hours.

Recently my belt broke as well and the cause was found. A few small pieces of mulch got trapped where the pulleys are and caused it to shred and then fall off. Had I not seen it myself, I never would have believed it. So, I am now pulling off the belt pulley guards after each mowing and blowing that area all out. This should not happen with a good design, but....
I have a Kubota BX24 tractor and the Z125S zero turn and I send Kubota a list of engineering changes/improvements they can make on these at least once a year. Maybe, someday, sometime, they will listen to me and incorporate the improvements!

Im having the same issue with Z125S. 2 broken belts in the first 15 hours of use. Dealer informed me today he has opened a case with kubota. Dealer has determined belts are getting hot from riding too low on pulleys. Awaiting a response or fix from kubota. Did you get a resolution with yours yet?

My Z125s is leaving a strip of grass towards the left side of the deck.(between 1st and 2nd set of blades).
Also, the left hand bar/lever isn't going completely toward like it should. When you push both hand levers towards to the max, the right goes forward a lot more. Any ideas?
Thanks, Kyle V.

Look at the base of the hand levers, they can be adjusted so they can be "centered" to one another. Mine were off by almost 1-inch at the handles themselves when I bought mine. A simple adjustment with a wrench took seconds and all was "centered" thereafter.

As for the leaving a strip of grass toward the left side, mine has done the same thing. what does seem to help is to position the three blades the way they are shown in the owners manual. This ensures the mowing is not affected by the overlapping of the blades. I mow about 4 acres of grass and find that I have to do this about every 3rd mowing, and if you hit something with the blades other than grass, they will likely need repositioned again!

It could be your fuel pump..don't get the Kohler one its 154.00 they have a after market for under 30.00

I had the same issue with my Z125S. I changed the filter and pump, only to realize it was a build-up in the line coming out of the gas tank (before the fuel filter). Pull the line out of the tank and remove downstream line. Blow out debris. When you re-install the line, put the rubber grommet in first and then thread the line into the gas tank. Works like a champ now.

I haven’t had to trouble shoot anything on my mower so can’t help with the adjustment. I can’t make out what you are asking quite with the other part of the question. In some markets there is a protective interlock between the seat and engine running, to protect you from yourself for some brands. I don’t know where you are and whether you may have one of those protected mowers

Check the park brake switch is not sticking under left hand rear wheel arch plastic switch gets dry and sticks spray with WD40 or similiar and work in and out a few times and should be OK

We have a Z125S with the deadly CLICK problem. (Note: the CLICK won’t be heard unless all the safety stuff is right, so it’s NOT your brake switch, etc.) We get the CLICK when trying to restart the machine after mowing a while. Our current “fix” is to throw a tarp over the machine and let it sit overnight. It starts right up and runs fine the next day (unless we mow, shut it down, and try to start it again). The battery and starter solenoid (the latter at the suggestion of the dealer mechanic) are new. All the cable connections are clean and tight. The battery is at 12.75V. The starter has a heat shield. Seems my next step is to replace the starter. The only thing I’m certain about is that I’ll be spending more money. Have you resolved your problem?

Sounds like your battery needs charged. Also try tapping on starter.
