Is distilled water ok to use in the S4a?

no, too pure, use ordinary tap water with our filter installed, call us for more help 1800 999 910

On initial startup it fills with water comes up to heat and steam is generated, after about 5 minutes the red light flashes and the steam stops, however there is still water in the top tank, have tried flushing the main tank numerous times but problem persists. Any ideas?

Dear sir. Our LauraStar S4 has now a loud noise when connecting to wall contact,(before even pressing on bottom) and when heated up steam blows out off the iron. I am living in a remote area. Is it the solenoid of pressosta Please advise.

Hello Rock, please flush the boiler system completely and start again, sounds like the boiler has overfilled.

I have an s4 ironing board type which we hadn't used for six months and when we switched it on, it loaded with water which heated ok with the steam light coming on but when you press the button for steam there is none. The switch on the iron switches the fan on ok but still no steam, any ideas

Ok funny you should mention this, I have the same problem, I've changed the water several times in case there was anything there but all good. I did ring and speak to a LS maintenance person and he indicated it could be a sticking solenoid but until they look they don't know. So l am overseas and have to take back to oz to get repaired as can't really get any service in China for these. Yes a pain but that's all l can add, so off too L S in Melb. to get burnt with a service I guess, Sorry I don't have a fix for you

My s4 makes the most awful noise during ironing when the water goes into the tank! It's loud & annoying I cannot believe this is supposed happen during normal function.
Pls advise if this is part of the system or should this not be happening...what should I do? I hate the noise it's disturbing during ironing...;((

Yes strange you should mention this but mine has been doing this for a three years ( had It for about 8) and yes sounds like a tank. Unfortunately mine has died ie not generating stream now, probably a $5 part from China but has work well up until now.
L have being reviewing the parts on line so be interesting to see what parts are needed and costs

An S4 purchased from Northbridge 18 months ago is now leaking from bottom seal after cleaning. Is this likely a seal and can I collect one from Northbridge?
