Hello there . I bought a Laura star Magic S4 in 2007 and Although we had the odd problem, This Iron served us well and was an absolute pleasure to use. Unfortunately it took its last breath a few days ago. I am thinking of reinvesting but My main worry is this ...
I am living in Ireland, am I covered under the 2 year Guarantee ?? and my second question is....
In the past I had to ship my boiler over to the UK for repairs which was extremely expensive but to my knowledge there are no repair agents here in Ireland that deal with Laura Star. Does Laura star still have a repair Agent currently in the UK that will carry out repairs ?

When using, water collects in the base of ironing board and I would like to know if it’s possible to drain out. Currently I have to remove cover, tip the board up and drain water into a bowl. Not ideal.

I've had a Laurastar Magic S4 for 14 years - purchased in London, UK. Recently, the water tank and integrated anti scale filter broke. I would like to replace these parts but can't easily find out how to purchase them and have them sent to me in Bangkok, Thailand where I live now. Can you please help with this?

On initial startup it fills with water comes up to heat and steam is generated, after about 5 minutes the red light flashes and the steam stops, however there is still water in the top tank, have tried flushing the main tank numerous times but problem persists. Any ideas?

I have not seen this problem. It certainly doesn't seem right. I suggest you contact LS for advice.

Dear sir. Our LauraStar S4 has now a loud noise when connecting to wall contact,(before even pressing on bottom) and when heated up steam blows out off the iron. I am living in a remote area. Is it the solenoid of pressosta Please advise.

Hello Rock, please flush the boiler system completely and start again, sounds like the boiler has overfilled.

My Laurastar PULSE is only a week old and already it's not emitting steam! The steam indicator won't light up either. I did all the trouble shooting steps with no luck. I cleaned it, rinsed the boiler ...etc with no luck. Has anyone faced the same problem?

I had a similar problem, time to take in for a service, not sure how old yours is but it may need some repairs.
L was lucky to upgrade at what was an ok cost rather than major repair. All going well at the moment, but l change water twice a month
Thank you for your answer...mine was a week old! So the company offered to exchange it... waiting for my new piece now!

My Laura star s4 has just tripped my fuse box. I had just changed crystals and moments before the power went the iron hissed a little differently to normal and a small amount of brown water was usable on shirt I was ironing - any ideas ??

We had this issue a lot & found that by cleaning the steam holes on the iron it solved the problem. I eventually used a small drill bit and made the holes a little bit bigger. Since then no problem with tripping the circuit breaker.

I have an s4 ironing board type which we hadn't used for six months and when we switched it on, it loaded with water which heated ok with the steam light coming on but when you press the button for steam there is none. The switch on the iron switches the fan on ok but still no steam, any ideas

Ok funny you should mention this, I have the same problem, I've changed the water several times in case there was anything there but all good. I did ring and speak to a LS maintenance person and he indicated it could be a sticking solenoid but until they look they don't know. So l am overseas and have to take back to oz to get repaired as can't really get any service in China for these. Yes a pain but that's all l can add, so off too L S in Melb. to get burnt with a service I guess, Sorry I don't have a fix for you

my laura star is hissing all the time and the green light does not come on but the steam is there at the moment. I left the iron on while I found the model went back to the iron the green light was on. Ironed the shirt and the green light went of. Do I need to put the machine in for maintenance to get it back up to speed
